Good morning! I am Tabia, scribe for the temple of Thoth, Lord of Hermopolis, god of writing, truth, and justice. With this many people from so many distant realms, I cannot help but hope that someone else from my homeland of Egypt may be here. If such a person exists, I ask you to respond swiftly so that we may help each other get by in this place.

Please forgive me if the way I write seems strange. It seems that a more casual tone is expected, but I learned to write in a place where a letter might take weeks to reach its destination, rather than mere seconds, so the weight of each message bears down on me more heavily. We are however all in the same situation, so we should be able to find camraderie in our similarities rather than hostility in our differences.

I am spending a most of my time studying the culture and ways of this city and the kingdom to which it belongs. I may never truly understand it, but until a way home is discovered, I will do what I can.

[Varian's having a real bad fucking day and he doesn't have the requisite understanding to really work on this. He hates asking for help, but this is so deeply out of his wheelhouse, it's not even funny.]

Some of you have talked about people you KNOW from your home world showing up and having no memories of who they are at all. Like- they don't even look right sometimes and it's like they've lived a whole life in this world even if they are blatantly someone from a different world altogether.

[There's a long pause- that's why he's done this by text because he's struggling to keep it together, he doesn't want to have a breakdown where people can hear it. ]

Does anyone have any theories on how this is happening? Or why or - I don't know. Pointers? How are we supposed to just DEAL with this?

I'm so sorry you are going through something like that.

My sobrino, my nephew, he is five and he does not recognize... any of us in the family except my sister, his mamí, but not as his actual mother.

We... we are trying very hard to let him come to us, to visit with us when he pleases and feels comfortable. We can't exactly insist to the police he is actually our family even with all the pictures. We don't know the cause and we don't even know how to reverse it.

The only advice I can give is... do not... rush them. The memories don't come back simply because you mention things or even show them the room they lived in.
