Hello Everyone!

Happy New Year! I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday season! I know I did. I went with my grandson Gary to visit some family back in Japan. It's been a long time since I've been home, so it was quite an experience.

Anyway, as I'm sure some of you have already met them... you have a very exciting new member of the team! Koyamaki is one of the founding members of POKEGO and a dear old friend of mine! In fact it's easy to say that without their influence, POKEGO would've never existed! But don't let them intimidate you! Just treat them like you would any other senior member - they like to be included!

And speaking of new members, we got a few new graduates from the mentorship program! Congratulations to Carambola and Arbutus for passing your exam! I look forward to seeing the work you do, and to our long working relationship together! And I hope you passing the exam serves as an encouragement to the large group of apprentices we have due for their final next month... study up and know that I'm rooting for you!

Finally, in regards to this month, I want you guys to continue monitoring the situation of the areas outside of the barrier. The water element tends to be pretty blatant in its influence, so it should be easy enough to spot any changes. That said, make sure to bundle up! I know it gets cold this time of year. And if there's anyone out there who needs help- make sure to do so!

Those who investigate outside the spirit realm barrier will find that unless the land is protected by some other magical means (like Persephone's cottage), the temperatures are dipping far below normal and easily into the life threatening levels. This is due to the Spirit Realm influence that can only be mitigated by the events of the upcoming event log. Otherwise, POKEGO members can do their best to try to help anyone who is outside the barrier to deal with the extreme temperatures.]

Afraid I can't help with monitoring outside the barrier. It's freezing down in the fortress and I have to monitor my plants to make sure they don't freeze to death.

The fact this is happening right during the full moon really isn't convenient.

Typically I would say the cold shouldn't affect me like other people, but I find myself behaving a little more cold-blooded during times like this...

This is not Bristlecone posting; I believe Oak assigned me Blackwood when he gave me the box of trinkets to hand out. Someone from the network informed me that rocks that look like this can be found in Kanto and work as a suitable enough stopgap to contain the crystal that's afflicting Bristlecone.

I will pay for any large samples of this rock, or any other large rocks with magical properties--whether they come from Kanto or anywhere else.

He goes to look on the network, now. Dan Heng's not always concerned about Sampo, given that he's usually absurdly good at getting out of trouble, but it looks like his devil's luck has run out this time. This is his student, and he's not about to let Sampo go without a fight.]

I will be assisting Blade at the forge, but Everstone will be easier to find. We will need help to set up a mining team and a team who can keep the wild Pokemon away.

an everstone, then. i've only ever seen them stop pokemon evolutions but if this is the option you have i'll start looking immediately

its best to stick with an everstone for now, other evolution stones have accelerating magic properties and we dont know how that'll affect what bristlecone has

I can help look for the everstone.

In addition, there's a hole in Hyrule that leads to a deep underground area. The area is full of strong monsters, but there's also ruins of an advanced civilization down there.

If Blackwood agrees to cover my brother's medical expenses, I'd be willing to venture down there and retrieve any rare material that's down there. No promises it'll solve what ails Sampo, but it's more resources to work with.

And before anyone tries to volunteer: unless you're a god or fully immortal, I'm not taking you along.

I can definitely help look for the Everstone. I can sense the mineral composition of any dirty I'm touching, so that might narrow it down a little. I can see what other rocks with magical properties I can find, too. I've worked with... magical rocks in the past. I'll do what I can.

Hello Everyone!

Hard to believe it's almost springtime already, it feels like the winter really flew past us this year! I'm glad for it myself, for while there's many things to cherish about wintertime, the cold weather isn't kind to my old joints.

Anyway, I'll try to keep things brief this time! First of all, I wanted to send out a heartfelt congratulations to our newest members! Thanks to their hard work, Grandiflora and Acacia have passed the final exam and our now full time members of POKEGO. Please, make sure to award yourselves you two- you've more than earned it! I look forward to working alongside you two.

Now, onto more important business. I've been made aware of one of our apprentices current struggles. Bristlecone, first I want to say that I hope you aren't tearing yourself down over a mistake. Mistakes happen. There's probably isn't a single member of POKEGO who hasn't had some magic backfire at them at some point or another- including myself. It's just something that happens in our line of work. I'm just terribly sorry that this is having such repercussions, you don't deserve that.

That said, while I'm limited in what I can do, I have been reaching out through my contacts to see what information can be gathered. While none of them were familiar with a crystal of this particular nature (and thus I have reason to believe that this crystal did not come from our world), some of the seers did suggest trying to use material that comes from fallen stars. And based on astrological predictions from some associates, there should be some meteor showers occurring in both Kaisou and Hyrule in the near future.

I know it's not a lot, but it's a lead. Just like our ancestors of old would follow the stars to guide them home- I hope this too will lead us to prosperity.

Well, I must get going now. Speaking of mistakes, one of the teams in the Mediterranean tried to cook enchanted Lotus and failed to neutralize its potency, again. Never a dull day, it seems.

Having never personally witnessed a meteor shower of this magnitude, I think it would be a good opportunity for all of us to search for these fallen stars. Perhaps we could learn something else of value that will aid Bristlecone. It could have incredible effects on the environment as well.

Hello Everyone!

I can't believe it's May already! Sorry for my lack of messages last month, I got caught up with a research project and next thing I know- the whole month had flown by! Turns out, there's historical evidence that a gate to another Pokémon realm may exist in the city of Paris. We already knew there was one in southern France, by Lyon - but one that's in Paris itself? This is a new discovery! Still looking into it, but look forward to my research paper in the future!

Anyway, enough about an old man's research. I'll get down to business so you can get on with your day.

First of all, I want to extend a warm congratulations to Bristlecone and Bauhinia for completing their apprenticeship this month! You two worked very hard, and I welcome you to the team! Can't wait to work with you in the future!

Second of all, for those of you involved with animal and Pokemon care- I'm excited to announce that the building permits and paperwork has all been finally completed on a new project: the POKEGO animal shelter! You have done a good job attending the PICHU daycare, but it's been lacking for space. Not only that, but there's plenty of unusual animals that regular animal shelters can't handle in Kaisou. So thanks to requests from your fellow researchers and some generous financial backing from a local business owner- we've been able to secure a building where POKEGO can establish their own place to better care for animals!

It's admittedly, a little barebones right now, but when has POKEGO ever shied away from using some elbow grease? Plus it gives you a chance to shape it how you see fit!

Well, that's all from me for now! I'm off to look through the Paris museum archives for more clues on this elusive new gate. Take care everyone!
