I need more details. How publicly do you wish to have this discussion?

PRIVATE
[He'll create a private filter]
I won't get too heavy on the details, but my brother suffers from a rare condition that causes damage to his heart and lungs. It'll be terminal if nothing is done.
The condition is magical in origin, so modern medicine can't do much but ease the symptoms. That alone costs a lot. And maybe there is some magical solution that'll solve it, but we haven't found it yet. And if we do find it, it'll probably be expensive too.
I can't promise to cure Sampo anymore than you can promise to cure my brother. But I can help provide you resources that'll allow you pursue more options that'd be otherwise unavailable to you.
I'm just asking for the same in return for my brother.
PRIVATE
he sits with the proposal for a long minute, counting up scales and weighing options--but the core of Jun's argument resonates in his mind and settles there, like a mountain looming in the distance. ]
So are you looking to name a price for a lump sum payment, or are you trying to establish a recurring, replenishing trust that stays with your sibling until he's either cured or being made comfortable? In return for one trip, multiple trips?
[ because that's the gamble, isn't it? both of them putting cards on the table, waiting to see who checks, raises, or folds--because you can't just sit there when everything's at stake. you have to be audacious.
Gil already knows his answer, but he sits with his phone on his knee as he drafts an email to miss Yasuho with a nearby laptop. ]
PRIVATE
And I'll make as many trips as you want. I can even go to other dangerous spots like Dragonspine, to see if there's something there.
PRIVATE
It's always refreshing when people cut to the chase.
If you'll send me your details I'll put together an account that I will keep a personal eye on--as I'm assuming that a malady with a potentially magical cure isn't going to spend overmuch time in regular hospitals and care facilities, and therefore, bickering with the vultures of the insurance industry won't be a concern.
I will presume, in good faith, that you've appealed to my own situation with yours, told me the truth of your affairs, and have offered me your best recurring effort so that we can both shore up our odds in front of our own gambles--and if that isn't the case, what will come next will come next.
Do we have an accord? [ it's probably harshly formal and terrible aloof--but it's an offering made with the utmost sincerity and expecting nothing but honesty in kind.
those burdened with love have to do whatever they can to nurture it and see it safe, now don't they? ]
PRIVATE
Well, you've got enough on your plate without me wasting your time with idle chatter.
[Honestly, Jun doesn't think twice about the tone. This is a pretty normal way of speaking when you're used to gods and holy orders. He's been fully truthful with this, so he feels no fear. ]
We have an accord. I'll make my first trip this afternoon, and bring my findings to the supply drop location.
PRIVATE
Then we are decided.
Do you prefer cash or digital transfer until we get the account set up?
[ because after Jun makes his first drop off, he'll either get a Caleb-delivered envelope of cash or a legally-distinct Benmo for five thousand dollars. ]
PRIVATE
[Of saving our loved ones, but Jun gets the vibe Gil isn't the type to openly express words like love]
Cash, please. It'll be easier to give to my brother that way.
[Going to shove it at Harumasa until he accepts it.]
PRIVATE
Good hunting.
[ and cash you shall have. you have buy at least two ibuprofen! ]
