As much as we love our animal friends, sometimes the stars give us animals that our characters just aren't ready to take on. In cases like that, the POKEGO Animal Shelter is here to help!

How does the Animal Shelter work?
ICly, the POKEGO Animal Shelter main hub will be based in Undertown near the Cygnus Academy. This main office is where they will do most of the paperwork, such as processing new animals, as well as filling out adoption forms. From there, animals given to the shelter will be given love and care by the staff until they find a more permanent home.

OOCly, players can donate any animals they've received in exchange for points! These animals will then be available for adoption by other characters for free.

Characters are also welcome to work at the Animal Shelter! They can work there full time, part time, or purely on a volunteer basis. The pay rate will be based on what kind of jobs they do for the shelter, but consider it pretty comparable to the wages found at a decent animal shelter.

How many points are the animals worth?
It depends on the means of which you received the animal!

• If you received it through Gacha or the Grab Bags: Each animal obtained through this method will be worth 2 points. There is no monthly limit on how many of these you can donate.


• If you received it through the Goodwill Pokeballs: Each Pokemon obtained through the randomized Pokeballs will be worth 1 point. However, you can only donate one of these pokemon for points once every three months.


• If you received animals by any other means: While you can donate them, they will unfortunately not be worth points. However, it will give them a chance to get a happy home!

Bangboo, Roombas, and Pods are currently now eligible for donation and adoption! Same rules apply to them as above.

When you give up an animal, you have a chance to fill out information about the animal such as their name, personality, etc. If you wish, you can opt not to give more details and instead it'll be left up to the players with characters who are working at the shelter to decide those details.

What Amenities does the Animal Shelter Have?

Currently as of right now, the Animal Shelter has the following Amenities and Utilities:

Veternarian Clinic: A fully-equipped veterinarian clinic, which allows them to take care of the animals with any health services they need. Characters can also use these vet services free of charge for their own pets. The clinic is manned by NPC staff as necessary, but player characters are allowed to work there as well.

Robotics Lab: A fully-equipped robotics lab, complete with space and equipment used to service any of our mechanical friends. There's also charging stations and storage areas used for the robots. Characters can get their robots there repaired/serviced free of charge, but if you wish to either build anything or do anything that aren't normal repairs- you need to either spend money to rent out the lab, or agree to volunteer/work there for a reasonable amount of hours. The robotics lab is manned by NPC staff as necessary, but player characters are allowed to work there as well. Characters will be kicked out of the robotics lab at 10pm each night by Felicity the fully decked out Magitek armor and not allowed back in until 5am the following day. Please go home and see your families you nerds.

Pokemon Ranch: A Pokemon Ranch in the Kanto realm that can be used to house Pokemon that'd struggle to fit in the animal shelter building- or simply if you want them to have a more comfortable place. It's a fully manned ranch, with plenty of space for the Pokemon to roam. There is also a portal within the Animal Shelter that allows people to fast travel to the ranch. The ranch is fully manned by NPCs (particularly former Black Order members who decided to make Kanto their home), but player characters can work there as well.

Stardew Animal Ranch: The Kaisou Animal Shelter now has a farm in Stardew Valley that can be used to house animals that'd struggle to fit in the animal shelter building. It's also used to grow crops that can feed the various animals. There is also a portal within the Animal Shelter that will allow people to fast travel to the farm. The animal ranch is manned by NPCs, but player characters can work there as well.

The Terarium Dome: A large facility that contains massive artificial biomes for Pokemon, can now be found in the harbor of Kaisou. It can either by accessed by boat or by using a quick travel point found within the Dome. Currently it remains unexplored.

How do I adopt a pet?
Anyone is welcome to adopt a pet that's at the shelter! They are free to adopt, and there's no purchase limit on how many one can adopt.

Please note, once adopted, just like shelter animals IRL - while the animal's name can be changed- things like personality, gender, appearance will remain the same.

What if I want my character to work at the shelter?
While the shelter is financed by POKEGO, any characters are allowed to work at the shelter! They are welcomed to work any number of hours there, either get a salaried job or just volunteer.

OOCly, we ask that you fill out the comment section down below! Otherwise there's no real OOC duties, but we do ask interested folks to please help the mod team out by keeping the shelter animal spreadsheet (linked above) updated with any new animal donations. If there is an animal that is donated with no information provided, shelter workers will get to decide on the animal name, personality, etc. If you need help deciding on personalities, feel free to use this personality wheel spinner to help you out!

As for names, please pick names that are approriate. You can do better than dirty words, swear words, and slurs. I know you can.
