Sheeeesh, saying it like that makes a fella feel real welcome, you know?
For a guy who used to run cow-tow all over, I'm not used to that sort of sincerity. I don't know what to say.

We are no strangers to wandering and making trouble. Yes, even me. The mistakes I made-- along with the friends I met-- were valuable in shaping who I am today.

This is a painful sort of setback, but you will endure, and you will grow beyond it. Growth does not happen in a straight line, and there is no shame in needing a little help either.

I usually thought when gods made mistakes, it caused natural disasters, so I was a little spooked at the idea.
I'm kidding. Mostly? But the god I share apartments with, the last time he made a mistake he blew up a planet, so...

At the very least my mistake this time around is only affecting me and not others, you know? I'm ... keepin' my head up.

It may help to view me as more human than god. After all, I was born on this world just like anyone else. I haven't caused any natural disasters in this lifetime, at least as far as I'm aware...

[Maybe crashed an economy, though he doesn't really think it was his fault for buying every jade plate out from beneath the Emperor's nose that one time. It was a good deal. The emperor was just late to the sale.]

While you may be the one bearing the curse, please don't forget that those around you are very fond of you. You are their warmth and laughter. To see your light disappear from this world would be a great tragedy.

So keep fighting. Your friends will see you through.
