Afraid I can't help with monitoring outside the barrier. It's freezing down in the fortress and I have to monitor my plants to make sure they don't freeze to death.

The fact this is happening right during the full moon really isn't convenient.

It's so inconvenient! I can always go check it, but there's a nonzero chance I'll just end up rolling around in the snow like an idiot.

[He knows he's not the best at focusing when it's the full moon, they both know this. ]

The temps are a lot lower than I was expecting, though. Not demonic blizzard levels bad, but still. Pretty bad.

How are your plants doing?

That is a possibility... you should probably stick closer to home this time. We don't want to have to mount a rescue mission because you decided to chase a rabbit.

They're hanging in for now, but if it gets much colder I'm not sure. The few heat lamps I got can only do so much good. I'm going to try to move the most sensitive ones into the serenitea pot, I just hope I can do it before I lose my hands for paws.

Yeah. And I know I've got a better handle on myself these days. [ Mostly thanks to Jun. ] It'll be safe if I don't go too far out of the way.

Yeah. The one I went through back home after... everything. [His dad being trapped in the amber. THAT everything. ] The blizzard was actually a demon. It's weird. Like all of the magical nonsense in Corona is.

You want me to come help? I can set up some warming pads for them- essentially the same chemical reaction that makes handwarmers work, so they'd be safe.

Oh yeah, that blizzard. I didn't realize it was demonic in origin. [Corona sure is like that]If I'm honest, part of me is hoping demons are behind this cold spell too. At least then I'll know how to take care of it.

Yeah, I'll just do some breathing exercises and keep my mind busy. I should be okay.

I'll tell you about Zhan Tiri sometime. She's a WHOLE thing. And yeah, at least there's a clear-cut way to deal with demons. It would make everything a lot easier.

I'll drop by with some today. And nah, the beauty of working with mechanical devices is that they won't die if they get cold. I've just wrapped some water pipes I need to keep from freezing with insulation pipe and that's all I need.

Heaters work some! It's still livable for humans. But it's a big metal building + underwater in now freezing cold water... so it's chilly.

you know sometimes you hear on the internet about people using water to cool their server bays. i wonder if the opposite could work.

Definitely too big. I do want to get some rugs for my room floor though, just to avoid touching cold floor with my bare feet. ≡(▔﹏▔)≡

I can help with the monitoring outside the barrier. It's not that cold to me. If you'd like help with moving your plants, I would be happy to assist with the heavy-lifting.

It's not? I figured you'd be cold-blooded like your cousin...

I might take you up on the heavy lifting. It's not so much the weight, I can handle that, but some of these planters are pretty big so they're awkward to carry around by yourself.

It depends on the cold. The Fortress at this time of year would be... challenging for me due to personal reasons, but I can endure that for the sake of helping a friend. However, for the most part, the cold doesn't bother me because I was born and raised in Boston, Massachusetts.

[Some stereotypes are just true. Though, it's possibly a little surprising to hear that about Dan Heng when he doesn't even have a Boston accent normally.]

Mm, understandable. We might see if we can enlist some Pokemon to help us as well, but that may require catching specific species, like Machoke.

Yes, indeed.... I have a Gardevoire and Espeon, but I've never asked them to lift anything as heavy as a planter before. We'll just do it the old-fashioned way.
