The fact this is happening right during the full moon really isn't convenient.
un: larch
[He knows he's not the best at focusing when it's the full moon, they both know this. ]
The temps are a lot lower than I was expecting, though. Not demonic blizzard levels bad, but still. Pretty bad.
How are your plants doing?
no subject
[They both indeed know this]
Demonic blizzard bad?
They're hanging in for now, but if it gets much colder I'm not sure. The few heat lamps I got can only do so much good. I'm going to try to move the most sensitive ones into the serenitea pot, I just hope I can do it before I lose my hands for paws.
no subject
Yeah. The one I went through back home after... everything. [His dad being trapped in the amber. THAT everything. ] The blizzard was actually a demon. It's weird. Like all of the magical nonsense in Corona is.
You want me to come help? I can set up some warming pads for them- essentially the same chemical reaction that makes handwarmers work, so they'd be safe.
no subject
[He rather his boyfriend didn't become a popsicle]
Oh yeah, that blizzard. I didn't realize it was demonic in origin. [Corona sure is like that]If I'm honest, part of me is hoping demons are behind this cold spell too. At least then I'll know how to take care of it.
[Demons are way more simple to deal with than climate change]
That would actually be a big help. Are you sure you won't need those yourself though?
no subject
I'll tell you about Zhan Tiri sometime. She's a WHOLE thing. And yeah, at least there's a clear-cut way to deal with demons. It would make everything a lot easier.
[ You can't hit climate change with a sword after all! ]
I'll drop by with some today. And nah, the beauty of working with mechanical devices is that they won't die if they get cold. I've just wrapped some water pipes I need to keep from freezing with insulation pipe and that's all I need.
no subject
Haha, I'll never turn down a good story, so sure I'd like to hear it!
[IF ONLY]
Thanks Var, I'll owe you for this. If we could figure out a set up where we won't have to move the plants, that'd really be the best case scenario.
no subject
I know. I'm the wolf.
You've got it! It will probably fill in a lot of... gaps to what happened back home.
[ Not the things he caused himself, of course, but Zhan Tiri's bullshit sure did weave its way through all of them, towards the end there. ]
You don't owe me for anything. I'm happy to help you out. It's defnitely better than trying to move them somewhere else and disturbing them. Don't worry, we've got this.
no subject
I know you're happy to help! But I still feel that way. I'll think up something okay, maybe dinner on me later this week? Anything you want.
{He'd offer tonight but well, full moon]
no subject
[Corona is so much. All the time. He prefers it here so much more. ]
Okay, okay, you've worn me down. I won't say no to one of your dinners.
[ The full moon is not a good time for nice dinners. That's way too distracting for both of them. ]
no subject
Ha, perfect! It's a date then.

you know sometimes you hear on the internet about people using water to cool their server bays. i wonder if the opposite could work.
no subject
Opposite? You mean like heat up the water around the Fortress?

Voice | UN: Maple
[He makes a soft noise as he thinks.]
I can help with the monitoring outside the barrier. It's not that cold to me. If you'd like help with moving your plants, I would be happy to assist with the heavy-lifting.
no subject
I might take you up on the heavy lifting. It's not so much the weight, I can handle that, but some of these planters are pretty big so they're awkward to carry around by yourself.
no subject
[Some stereotypes are just true. Though, it's possibly a little surprising to hear that about Dan Heng when he doesn't even have a Boston accent normally.]
Mm, understandable. We might see if we can enlist some Pokemon to help us as well, but that may require catching specific species, like Machoke.
no subject
[Maybe he doesn't have a boston accent but... let's face it, like jun's an expert on american accents anyway]
That's that bara-looking Pokemon right? I'm afraid I don't have one of those. I'm not sure I'd have time to catch one either.
no subject
[To Dan Heng's credit, he takes that cursed comment in stride.]
Yes, indeed.... I have a Gardevoire and Espeon, but I've never asked them to lift anything as heavy as a planter before. We'll just do it the old-fashioned way.
[Calling it "old-fashioned" seems to be a joke given the dryness of his voice when he says that.]
