2024 Chat (Current)
[OOC: this is a catch-all group chat for the POKEGO members to use however they'd like. This chat is open ONLY to POKEGO members and is not actually part of the Libra app (but their own separate network). It should also be noted that while full members have the ability to create private filters, the apprentices do not. ]

Hello Everyone!
Hope everyone is doing well! First I want to give my personal thanks to Wisteria, Dracaena, Zelkova, and Pom for researching and sending me what you found about Willow. I'm sure it wasn't the easiest tasks to do, it certainly wasn't easy to read through your reports, but I'm truly grateful for it. You went out of your way to give an old man a chance to find some peace, so thank you.
Second, it seems there's been a number of clashes among your team within the last month! While heated debates and clashing personalities aren't anything unusual in our organization, I really do want to emphasize the importance of teamwork, communication, and accountability. Everyone in POKEGO are part of a team, not enemies out to get you. If a colleague approaches you with a concern or criticism, it's important to not immediately assume bad intent! It's also important not get defensive or close down avenues of communication - or leave them "on read" as my grandson tells me they call it these days. Not every criticism is completely valid, but it's still important to hear people out and consider their side of things. On the other hand, if you do have an issue with another colleague - perhaps using more private channels before you resort to a "call out" would give better results.
That's all I want to say on the matter. But unrelatedly, I do hope that Azalea, Zelkova, and Maple find your new living arrangements to be a positive experience!
Moving on to look less at the past and more at the future, thank you Azalea and Wisteria for all your hard work with the Spirit Energy Reader! (S.E.R? Hm I don't know, we should workshop a good acronym for it - comment with suggestions if you come up with anything). With this reader, we should be able to have better means to keep tabs on the Spirit Vein. I'll try talking it over with some of the other colleagues about how to get safely near the Spirit Vein, but in the meantime I'd suggest investigating any spots with extra high Spirit Energy for anything suspicious.
Finally, be sure to take care this month! Zodiac already mentioned it, but strange things can happen during this time of year and the normal population will be more likely to notice any strange stunts you pull. I've also heard word that the Black Order is gearing up to protect another "important realm", which likely means gods are going to be involved. This should go without saying especially for our senior members but please, please: do not do anything to invoke a god's wrath.
That's all I got for now! I'm off to decorate my home for Halloween. My lab coat makes the perfect easy Halloween costume, so you best believe I'll be giving out candy this year!
Sincerely,
Professor Oak

[OOC: This is your mission for October! Like any mission, it's up to you how you wish to proceed. POKEGO characters are free to share their mission details with others with they wish, and the mission is also completely optional if you decide to skip it.
Players who do make efforts towards assisting in these missions or performing successful side quests (or anything else that might be relevant) have the option of reporting it in the discord or on the POKEGO info page. These contributions will assist in either POKEGO getting better salaries or PICHU Program getting upgrades.]

[HOW GROUNDED ARE YOU YUUKI]

[Please, a bunk bed situation would be punishment for Josuke or Dan Heng, not Yuuki. You think he keeps normal people hours??]

Ah, that sounds nice.

That being said, I'm not going to be available for anything short of an emergency starting mid-November. Finals week for my university starts December 8th and I'll be concentrating on that.
[Absolutely no mention of his new living arrangement, but he's not arguing it, so... he's probably good with it??? Maybe? (Spoilers: Dan Heng's perfectly fine living with Josuke and Yuuki.)]

Though that said, I may need to take a short absence to attend to some matters unrelated to POKEGO. I'll let you know what days that'll be when I find out.
[He has no idea the Azhdaha mission is going to take a month]

Also, I'm planning to lay a simple boundary around the Academy; it's likely no one will notice anything different, but if you happen to catch any small concentrations of magic in out of the way corners, don't worry about it.
no subject
Like a ward? That'll be helpful, since it's not something that the rest of us can do easily.
Thank you.
[That wasn't so hard. And see, they can get along for a time even if it's awkward as hell.]
no subject
It's no problem. I'm happy to help however I'm able to.
[was that so hard, you two]

Anyway, I already spoke to Azalea about this, but I'm willing to see if anything I learned with the portals can be used in conjunction with what we've learned about the Spirit Vein. Maybe we can figure out a way to mend the tears in it rather than make them worse? I don't know. It's something to work on if nothing else.
The last time the Black Order were protecting a portal, one of them trapped me in a literal book to stop me from getting in there. So uh, watch out for that, I guess?

So he just scooped me into it. It was like a pocket dimension, I guess? He just carried me out of the gate in the book and dumped me out. It was VERY much not what I was expecting being trapped in a book would be like. Extremely disappointing, really.

[He might not be the warmest guy around, but he's able to put things aside to work with others for the sake of a mission.]
As for the device... I was thinking something like "Paranormal Interactive Nominal Spirit Energy Reader", or PINSER. It's spelled a little differently from the Pokemon, but it's close.
We should continue reaching out to the others on the app for help as well. I think the solution will need all of us.

And I really like the name PINSER too. It's cute and unique.

[Holding a petty grudge is one thing, but only because he never really acts on those feelings, which aren't that strong in the first place.]
I think it fits with everything else we have going on, at the very least.

Even if there isn't a pattern, it may be worth charting out as many local hot spots as we can find, regardless, if only to make them easier to keep tabs on as a whole.
I don't mind playing cartographer, but I'd appreciate the company if anyone wants to join me for the actual legwork.

[Don't make him go with sensei's Whoever The Fuck]
no subject
That'd be great. No sense in doing the same work twice.

On the digital side of things, knowing the coordinates of each hot spot would make it easier for even the most directionally challenged of us, since anyone dispatched to a specific hot spot could simply plug the GPS coordinates into the maps app on their phone.
