Applications v.2

THIS IS AN OLD POST. IF YOU WISH TO SEE THE CURRENT APP PAGE, PLEASE GO HERE.

Okay so application is a very strong word and not entirely accurate, but it's a term we all know so bear with me. This is the page where you officially submit your character information for the game! Apps will not really be judged on its contents but more making sure everything fits into the setting of the game. If you want more information on the setting, please check out the FAQ!

To see the previous app page, you can find it here.

How do I join the game?
This app page is currently open! Apps can be submitted by players at anytime. Apps are reviewed by the mod on the first and third weekend of the month, ending at 6pm EST on Sundays (so if you submit an app at 9pm on Sunday it won't get read until the following relevant weekend). Please check the calendar to see when apps will be processed next.

To join the game, you'll require an invite from another player. Players can invite up to 2 people per month. To invite someone, have the person apping list the name of the person inviting them, and then the inviter should comment to their app confirming the invite. Apps that do not have a invitation confirmation will not be looked at by the mods. If a confirmation does not come within two app processing weekends of the app's submission, it'll be automatically rejected.

A new player must be in the game one full month from their app acceptance date before they can invite another player (meaning if their app was approved on September 18th, they can invite people starting October 18th). This is so the new player has a chance to get acclimated to the game and community enough to assist any friends they later invite to the game.

Players who were in the game but who dropped/were swept will not need an invite to rejoin the game for up to one month after their drop date. After that month, they will require an invite to rejoin.

Once you submit your app, you'll get a welcome comment confirming that everything is a-okay. Sometimes revisions will be requested if there is a need to fix with power purchases or possessions.

Is there a player/cast cap?
There are a couple caps! The first cap ia an overall player cap. Kaisou allows a total of 75 players. Should we ever reach cap, apps will close until openings become available.

The second cap is on the number of players with an OU (original universe) character. To make sure OU characters do not dominate the game, there is a current limit of 35 OU players. At the start of each month, we will make sure there are at least 2 OU player slots open so new players get a chance to app an OU. Finally, to keep one cast from dominating the limited OU slots, there is an OU cast cap of 6 OU characters per cast. There's no cap on AUs from the canon at this time, just OUs!

PLAYER SLOTS: 33/75 filled.
OU PLAYER SLOTS: 14/35 filled.

Casts near or at Cap:
Final Fantasy XIV - 4/6, NEAR CAP

What kind of characters do you allow?
Most things! Canon characters, Original characters, CRAU, AU characters - the list goes on. Double characters are also allowed so long as the doubles are notably different from one another (examples: MCU Peter Parker and Into the Spider-verse Peter Parker would be fine as they are two clearly different interpretations of the character. Alternatively, a canon version of a character and an AU version of the same character would be fine as long as the AU causes a notable difference in the character). Customizable protagonists and characters from canons with different story routes are allowed, and any characters with differing story routes would be considered AUs from one another.

The only requirement for a character is that they do require a consistent canon history. This is because many of the plot events and mechanics deal with memories and connections to their previous life (or current life if an OU). If you wish to app a mascot character that doesn't have a specific canon background (a vocalid, clippy, the trix rabbit, etc) - you are welcome to write an OC that's inspired by the character with a clear established background to work from. Characters who have multiple canon iterations (like Link from Legend of Zelda or Sonic the Hedgehog) will need to pick a single iteration to pull their canon background from. Characters must also have been properly introduced (not just a quick cameo) in their canon for at least one month at the time of apping.

How many characters can I play at a time?
You can play up to four active characters at a time! Only two of these characters are allowed to be Original Universe and there is an overall OU player cap as mentioned above. As of September 2023, you may only play 2 characters from the same canon.

How frequently can I submit an app?
There is no time restraint on the first two characters you app. If you join the game with the intent of playing two characters, you can app them both immediately or wait it out! However after you app your second character, you will require to wait one month between each new character app (so if you app your second character on March 2nd, you will need to wait until April 2nd to app a third character). This wait time applies even if you drop a character.

What type of characters can I play in this setting?
At this time, brand new players have the option of choosing between Normal AU, Paranormal AU, and Original Universe. Players who have been in the game at least 3 months also get the option of apping characters from the Black Order or POKEGO factions. Details for each category are below:

Normal Modern AUs
Normals AU are exactly what it says on the tin: they're normal people. These characters have lived entirely normal lives on modern day Earth. Up until the day they joined the Libra app (aka when they join the game), they've been completely oblivious to anything strange about the world. Even if something paranormal-related did happen to them, their memories remember it as a more mundane event (for example if they got attacked by a monster, they'll remember it as a dog attack) - and it's only once they join the app may they remember how those events occurred. For the most part, their AU backstory should consist of things that could reasonably happen in a modern day Earth setting.

Upon acceptance, Normal AUs will be allowed to pick two free regains (canon regain or an elemental power) that can be worth up to 3 points each. These regains will ICly come into effect after they join the game.

Paranormal Modern AUs
Paranormal AU characters are characters who also grew up in modern day Earth, but have experienced supernatural occurrences throughout their lives. Their experiences with the supernatural can vary wildly as long as it fits into the setting of Kaisou. Maybe they've been raised by a family aware of the supernatural, or they started as normal people and ended up crossing paths with the paranormal at some point in their lives. They may even be involved with a player-run faction (aka any faction that's not Zodiac, Black Order or POKEGO), or a new faction that you made up yourself!

These characters will get 6 extra points to be spent on elemental powers (aka Kaisou original powers) they obtained during their AU backstory. These points cannot be used for canon regains (though you are welcomed to purchase elemental powers that are similar to their canon powers, or pick something entirely new!). These points can be used for monster traits, but you need to include some explanation for why they are a monster (were they cursed? An experiment? Are their parent a monsterfucker?) and they will need to be at least half-human.

Paranormal characters can also be possessed. You can read more information about on the possesion info page.

Original Universe
Original Universe characters hail from their original world and find themselves arriving into this world through the Spirit Realm. They will not lose any memories of their canon lives, and are allowed to have any items that they could reasonably carry on their persons upon arrival without any enchantments (in other words, no cheating with a mary poppins bag). If they were carrying a magical bag, the bag will split open in the Spirit Realm and all the contents will come spilling out on the ground, forcing your character to grab only what they can carry.

Power wise, OUs can do one of the following options for their retained options. Feel free to consult the regain page for clarity on the point values.
  • 3 abilities that have the power equivalent of a 1-point regain (very low level power)
  • 2 abilities that have the power equivalent of a 2-point regain (medium level power)
  • 1 ability that has the power equivalent of a 3-point regain (advanced level power)

Retained abilities can apply to any magical items they have with them EXCEPT for anything that'd increase their inventory or would be considered otherwise gamebreaking. Any other abilities or items that don't have their powers retained will be completely depowered and will require regain points to gain back.

Black Order/POKEGO AU
PLEASE NOTE: Due to this character type requiring a thorough understanding of the game setting, this option is only available for players who have been in Kaisou for at least 3 months

As of April 2023, players are limited to only have ONE character from each faction at a time (meaning you can have one Black Order member and one POKEGO character, but not more than one in each faction)
.

Black Order/POKEGO characters are AU characters who started either as Normal or Paranormal AU characters. However, unlike the other AU types who only begin regaining canon memories once they join the game, these characters began remembering their past lives and regaining canon abilities at an earlier point in their life - usually after a traumatic or high stress incident. Sometime shortly after they began remembering their past lives, they were approached by one of two factions:

THE BLACK ORDER: A secretive group devoted to protecting and preserving the Spirit Realm, particularly any realms that are considered sacred, by dispatching agents known as "Guardians" to manage supernatural incidents of note. While it varies from member to member, the Black Order aren't exactly known for being a chill group. Some Guardians join willingly while others were "strongly persuaded" to join. While you don't need to be religious to be part of the Black Order nor does it adhere to a particular religion, it is said to be funded by numerous religious denominations around the world. Thanks to that, Black Order Guardians will enjoy free housing (within reason, no mansions) and a comfortable salary to live on - though some may get a daytime job/go to school to keep up a persona. The Black Order itself is run by a mysterious council of leaders, who give orders to their Guardians to fulfill. Thanks to the constant unusual activity in Kaisou, they have decided to send members to Kaisou and join the app in order to investigate what's going on.

POKEGO: A group devoted to the research and understanding of the Spirit Realm. All in all, they tend to be less hardcore than the Black Order and all members join willingly, though sometimes it's by means as a way to avoid joining the Black Order. POKEGO is less structured than the Black Order, with the group actually being made up of several different cohorts that focus on different areas of study related to the Spirit Realm (such as flora, fauna, gate locations, gods, etc etc). For a long time they held a positive reputation in paranormal circles, but that recently took a serious hit thanks to Professor Willow and his faction's deeds. Thanks to that, a lot of sponsors (including Zodiac) have pulled out and funding has really dried up. This means POKEGO researchers will have to find their own housing and find ways to make ends meet (in other words, you're broke). These days, the remaining members of POKEGO are working towards rebuilding their organization and repairing the bridges that have been burned.

Characters apped will either be in the role of Black Order Guardian or POKEGO Researcher that's been sent to Kaisou to help investigate the situation, and will join the Libra app in the spirit of cooperation with Zodiac (and to keep an eye on everyone). It's up to you if the character had already lived in Kaisou for some time, or is completely new in town. While both of these groups are made up of people who remember their past lives, before the events of Kaisou it was well understood among these group that regaining past memories was an extremely rare occurrence (like 1 in a few million rare), that memories of their past lives were to be kept hush-hush from outsiders - and anyone who refused to comply with the rules would have their past memories erased and powers sealed. So some may not be entirely sure how to feel about these Zodiac app users that have a lot less rules to follow. Typically POKEGO/Black Order characters should be at least 16 years of age. If you wish to app a younger one, they will be considered a trainee and special accommodations will need to be made (aka you need to talk to the mod about it).

Due to their special situations, Black Order/POKEGO characters can start with 16 regain points for their pre-purchased powers (versus the 6 that paranormal AU get). These regain points can be used for both Kaisou elemental powers AND canon regains. Black Order/POKEGO characters may also be possessed, which works the same way as Paranormal AUs.

As of April 2023, POKEGO characters will be allowed 1 free pokemon that's up to horse size (and isn't a legendary) upon apping. This Pokemon will be completely depowered, but for 1 point you can unlock up to 4 of the abilities that are available for the Pokemon at Level 1 in the games. Any abilities beyond that would cost the same rates as if those abilities were on a player character. Additional pokemon would cost the same rate as a magical animal companion (aka based on size and they'd start with their level 1 abilities).

FINALLY, PLEASE BE AWARE THAT DUE TO THEIR FACTION'S REPUTATION, BLACK ORDER AND POKEGO CHARACTERS (ESPECIALLY POKEGO) ARE LIKELY TO HAVE A GOOD DEAL OF NEGATIVE CR FROM OTHER CHARACTERS EARLY ON. Please be prepared to deal with this should you choose to app from these factions. Even if your character is a nice person, they will likely have to work extra hard to gain the trust of those around them.

🐶 A polite doofus that values family bonds strongly
🐶 Exceedingly blunt when it comes to important matters, such as questions relating to his goals
🐶 ... Mundane objects he's entirely clueless about but please don't ask him about animal and plant species unless you want a whole dissertation
🐶 He's seriously a goober underneath it all and does come off as childish when in any situation that is not a fight, life-or-death, or related to whatever he's striving towards

Character Name: Edward Kenway
Canon: Assassin's Creed
Canon Point: Sequence 11, after Mary Read's death
Age: 28
Birthday: March 10, 1693
History: AC wiki article.

Personality:
- Ambitious. Edward, at the start of his journey, wants nothing more than to become a man of quality, with riches aplenty, and to return home to his wife Caroline as someone who can not only keep a roof over her head, but keep her in a grand, lavish lifestyle. To this end, he's willing to do whatever it takes to climb to the top of the mountain, up to and including seeking out a seeming myth such as the Observatory in the belief that its supposed abilities will make him and the pirates of Nassau rich beyond their wildest dreams. It takes almost the entire game before Edward realizes how his relentless treasure-seeking has pushed him too far and alienated all his loved ones from him.
- Stubborn. When his mind is fixed on a goal, Edward will stop at nothing and do anything to achieve it. While his determination is an admirable trait, he can very easily tip over into spiteful stubbornness, his vision narrowed down to this one thing he's chasing after on the horizon, even as all his loved ones try to talk sense into him. His desire to become a man of wealth and quality makes him greedy and selfish, putting his own betterment first above almost all things. His desire to find the mythical Observatory and become rich beyond his wildest dreams pushes him to take riskier and riskier actions that alienates his friends and his crew from him, and leaves him alone in the world, a captain without a ship.
- Jovial. Edward is a friendly fellow, and when he's not intimidating people into surrendering all their cargo or sneaking around killing people, he's a witty, cheery sort of person, the kind you could grab some rum and shoot the breeze with. He's charming enough that he can get in good with almost anyone, so long as they don't know him better. He's even affable enough to joke around with a man who killed his captain at the start of the game, greeting him with a laugh and a little ribbing as he stumbles onto the beach. (And then he kills him after the guy shoots at him, so Edward's affability is limited to those who don't try to kill him outright.) He's friendly to a great variety of people across the game, from his ex-slave quartermaster to the barmaid at the local tavern to his fellow pirate captains—on a one-on-one interaction, he's not about to start a fight if he can just talk them around.
- Loyal. The thing that redeems Edward is he is goddamn loyal to his people. He's a pirate captain who's faithful to his wife back in Bristol (barring the occasional prostitute), and who's loyal to his crew and fellow pirates, often coming to their rescue against Spanish or English guards. He doesn't begrudge his quartermaster Adéwalé for leaving him to be captured, because he knows Adé was trying to protect the Jackdaw from Edward's bad decisions. He sneaks through a prison full of guards with only one other person helping him out to save Mary Read and Anne Bonny. He does his very best to save Thatch from getting killed, and it hits him hard when he's not able to. He doesn't tell anyone that James Kidd is actually Mary Read, and doesn't even think to use this against her. This also means he is fucking furious when he's betrayed, nearly killing Charles Vane and actually killing Ben Hornigold, who were both fellow pirates, the latter having served as a mentor figure for Edward before he turned to pirate hunting.
- Reckless. Edward is often first to board an enemy ship, cutlasses in hand, to cut down resistance. He thinks nothing of scaling sheer walls and rickety old ruins to get to his goals, nor of jumping off high walls to land in haystacks far below. A side activity in the game is just hand-to-hand bar brawls with thugs that far outnumber him. Edward knows what he's capable of, is confident in his skills to the point of sheer cockiness, and is absolutely happy to prove it. The hell of it is, he is that good at what he does, he just also doesn't seem to really consider the idea that he might fail in the process, or at least that succeeding at his goals won't be everything he thought it was.
- Clever. Edward is the helmsman, navigator, and captain of the Jackdaw, as well as the master of a fleet of ships that comprise something of a trade empire, so you know he can juggle the required numbers and plan a route well enough. The optional objectives, and the sheer amount of tailing missions in gameplay, also tell us that Edward tended to take a stealthier, sneakier approach to solving his problems, often preferring to not start a fight or even be noticed at all if he thinks the risks of the in-your-face approach outweigh the benefits. (He's even proud of his sneakiness, boasting to another pirate that he'll "barely ruffle a flea on [their enemies'] heads" before embarking on stealing the enemy's flag from their ship.)

Time of Arrival to Kaisou: Two days before app date. The canon point he's at, he's at a crossroads: his overarching goal for the whole game, the Observatory, has been snatched from his grasp by Bartholomew Roberts who traded him off to the English for the bounty on his head; he was just rescued by Assassins from months in prison; his friend Mary, who saw something good inside him despite his selfishness and greed, died in his arms as he was trying to rescue her from prison; his ship the Jackdaw is gone; he's just found out his wife, Caroline, is currently in a bad state; and he's realized that maybe his overwhelming ambition has fucked him over and left him all alone in the world with little to really show for it. His labyrinth has a piratical flair to it, I imagine, but it's also kinda desolate and ruined. Kinda like Edward's life at this very moment. Go ahead and fuck him up.
Items:
- Currently wearing Assassin robes, stolen from Duncan Walpole and heavily modified to suit Edward's needs. Has very good leather armor and four holsters for pistols.
- Two hidden blades strapped to his forearms.
- A blowpipe with five sleep darts and three poison darts that cause the victim to go insane and kill their allies before the poison stops their heart.
- Two pouches for those darts. They have room for fifteen darts of each kind. Edward has not gone for a refill, clearly.
- Four golden flintlock pistols. Very slow to reload.
- Two scimitars.
- A bottle of half-empty booze.

Retained Abilities: Eagle Vision, which allows Edward to see who's hostile to him (red), who's friendly (blue), who or what's important (gold), and where he can hide (white), so long as he's walking or standing still or not doing anything too strenuous when he opens it. There's no limit in gameplay as to how long he can hold it, and while he's holding it, he can tag and track up to ten enemies even through walls. This is...literally the only superhuman ability he has, unless you count "can somehow survive falls into haystacks from high up" which doesn't seem to count in ACverse. I'm happy to scale down the Eagle Vision and have it be regainable bit by bit.

Character Name: Blade
Canon: Honkai: Star Rail
Canon History: Wiki link. There is more here and in various other tidbits but these are the major things! Yingxing was the name he used in the past, so I'll be referring to him using both names depending on the time period in question.

Canon Personality:

Clever. He is described as constantly having his brain going a mile a minute with a voracious appetite for knowledge, enough that he upended his whole life after visiting the Xianzhou for the first time. Having learned everything he could, he sought to challenge himself further (even against immortals with tons of knowledge), so he moved there and created armor, weapons, and other devices still in use in the Xianzhou centuries later.
Arrogant. Yingxing is smart and he knows it, much to the consternation of those around him. He is referred to as "exceedingly arrogant" by his partner and better half, which tells you the kind of relationship they have.
Stubborn. Only someone as stubborn as this guy could go against all the rules of the culture he had been adopted into in the pursuit of a forbidden magic. Somehow despite all the defeats he suffers, he keeps getting back up again. He won't fight the people he likes too hard on the small things, though he will absolutely deny liking them.
Surprisingly sensitive. Yingxing has an empathetic side and a refreshingly human perspective compared to the bored immortals around him. His view of war is that it's terrible and it can't go on forever, even if the people of the Xianzhou are dedicated to fighting it for the rest of the Aeon of Abundance's existence, so he wants to find a way to save everyone. He also has a soft spot for kids. As Blade, he notes that Kafka has a sadness about her smile, and thinks that perhaps someone left her before they could listen to what she had to say.
Devoted. One thing that ties Yingxing and Blade together is that they are devoted to their people. Yingxing gave his life to protect Dan Feng, and Blade will follow orders from Elio and even Kafka without question. He trusts them wholly, even though Kafka has made him relive several of his deaths for the hell of it. It crosses the line into unhealthy.
⚔️ Depressed. Blade is quiet and morose in all of his canon appearances when he isn't driven insane by the mara. He has a thoughtful and observant side to him, no longer boisterous. During a certain quest, he can be found gazing at the statue made in his partner's image in silence. When asked what he's doing, he says he's "mourning for folly." Clearly he feels things like guilt and regret, and just doesn't know what to do with them.
⚔️ Obsessive. An extension of his devotion, he can be called fanatical at points. Though part of it is the mara driving him to madness, he's especially concerned with the fact that, of the five people involved in the clusterfuck that was his former life, three have yet to pay some kind of price. He laments that he and Dan Heng have not repaid their debt in his voice lines.
⚔️ Masochistic. As a man unable to die, Blade is careless about his own well-being and safety to a degree that is quite alarming. He snaps at anyone who tries to heal him during battle, and is actively seen using his blood to enhance his attacks, and growing more powerful the closer he walks with death.
⚔️ Apathetic. This is just the depression all over again, really. He lets his teammates walk all over him, and indulges Silver Wolf in her games even though he has no interest in it. He also lets his teammates borrow his phone constantly, and never uses it except on missions.
⚔️ Fatalistic. Blade's entire canon existence is focused around how death has been denied him. His goal is to finally rest, and that means pursuing Dan Feng—or rather, his successor—until their wrongs are able to be righted. Elio promised that he would find a way for Blade to die and Blade will hold him to that promise.

AU Name: Song Yingxing
AU Age: 25
AU Birthday: 10/23

AU History: Yingxing was born to a diverse family with a strong tradition in building and crafting. His great great grandfather was a blacksmith, and his father an architect, and these values were passed down onto him too. Though he pursued a degree in engineering, his true passion was making things. He would create functional props for cosplay and LARPers, or build his own robots because why the hell wouldn't you want your roomba to detect intruders?

Unfortunately, his parents passed away while he was in college due to an accident at sea. Their boat sank in the middle of a typhoon and they were never found. This nearly broke him, but he was determined to see his coursework through and finish his degree. However, his professional work after the degree had a tendency to be reckless. Part of him didn't care if he lived or died, so he often did risky things like not wearing proper eyewear or gloves when working.

This came to a head one night when he heard an alert that the door to his shop had been left open. Yingxing went to investigate. As he walked inside, he detected the scent of chemicals; something had apparently leaked and spilled overnight. When he tried to grab gear so he could handle the spill, the entire shop suddenly exploded, leveling both the shop and his parents' house instantly. By all means he should have died. Yet, in those last moments he made a contract with a demon who preyed on vulnerable people, though he didn't remember it.

Yingxing woke up in the hospital not only with no memory of the accident or the contract, but he had also forgotten his own name and past. His history would return to him in flashes at worst, fragments at best. One thing was for sure: he was no longer the same. It felt like learning about someone else's life, like he was reading a biography on a page.

He still retained what he had studied at least. He decided to move to a different city with the insurance money and start over with a new alias, which he'd found in his internet history of all places: Blade. A fitting name for a person who makes weapons, he thought. He could no longer pretend to be Yingxing, who had perished in the explosion. He was something else now—though he retained his love of creation. This was, of course, made difficult by the frequent injuries he sustained due to the demon's blood price.

He eventually settled on Kaisou as a destination, hoping a new start would help him avoid the past and the people he did not remember, as it all made him terribly uncomfortable. He was also afraid that the demon's violent tendencies would make him lose control and lash out at the people he had once cared about. Though he didn't remember them, he couldn't allow that.

AU Personality Differences: Blade is not driven by revenge in this AU, which is the biggest difference. He pursued Dan Heng relentlessly in canon and slaughtered people who had contact with him while under the influence of the mara-induced madness. Instead, Blade has zero history with anyone but his own demon (who will still try to get him to go apeshit and occasionally does). He is a bit of an eccentric genius type who has fallen down a few pegs due to losing everything, leading to even more intense depression!!!! Yay!!!!

As a result of lacking 700 years of brutal torture at the hands of a vengeful lesbian Jingliu, the old Yingxing personality he had is way more visible. He also developed an attitude problem after his near death experience, but that's close to canon anyway. Call him frustrated because he's been arguing with the demon in his head for like a year.

Element: Wind
Purchased Powers:
⚔️ Regen - High. Cuts and bruises heal within minutes, more severe injuries within two hours. can survive fatal injuries and fully heal within 1-2 days. Cannot regrow limbs (3 pts).
⚔️ Air Pressure Attack - High. You can increase the air pressure greatly when you attack to increase the force of the hit by a large amount. (3 pts)

Possession: Blade is possessed by a mogwai (not to be confused with the gremlin of movie fame) who is extremely concerned with leading people down paths of self-destruction, and often tries to encourage Blade toward wrath and misery. If Blade starts to slip it will definitely amplify his violent emotions and lead him into being batshit insane for the duration, so there's a very real risk of him eventually being dragged into the Spirit Realm by his demon even if he regularly pays his "fee". Blade's contract price is that he must spill his blood in order to use his powers (and therefore hit harder).

Character Name: Touya Todoroki / Dabi
Canon: My Hero Acedemia
Canon History: here!

Canon Personality:
🔥 Determined - Be it in his desire to see his goals through, or to gain power--Dabi has been shown to push himself towards the things he wants with an unbelievable amount of vigor. Working for months and even years to see one goal reach fruition, he has the patience and determination to see anything through. To get stronger, to show the world what he's capable of despite the world's attempts to chain him down. Nothing will stop him.
🔥 Aloof - When he isn't comfortable around people, he can be somewhat distant--somewhat hard to understand or get to know. It's not that he's shy or unkind--it's more that he doesn't put much effort into being friendly with others, because he doesn't feel they'll want to be close to him. Especially due to the way he looks, most people avoid him; so he doesn't put much effort into changing peoples' minds. He usually has a goal in mind, he stays in his own lane unless he feels the need to leave it.
🔥 Confident - He's lived most of his life being told to lower his expectations, to quietly find a life that suits him, safely, instead of pressing hard into his actual desires. This isn't good enough for Dabi, and despite the dozens of voices telling him to be reasonable; he refuses. He has the confidence to keep his head held up high, and to meet people and situations head-on without any sort of fear or anxiety.
🔥 Keen-Eyed - Able to read a room in moments. While most people view him as being quiet and distant, and therefore someone who doesn't pay attention to the fine details--they can't be any more wrong. Dabi is someone who often notices fine details before anyone else, who can read between the lines just as quick as any of his more intellectually powerful comrades--making it very hard to catch him off-guard. It's very hard to get one up over him, and he always seems to be one step ahead of anyone who might call himself his enemy.
🔥 Supportive - Even if he's a bit of a self-focused little shit--when he does have people he's working alongside, he works impressively well with them. Being able to back them up either in combat or when they're feeling down about something--he's the sort of guy who will burn down your long-empty, abandoned family home because looking at it causes you heartache. He shows he cares, even if his methods come off as a little dramatic and with a flair.
❄️ Obsessive - One of the most negative aspects of his personality is that once he's focused on a goal, he will chase it--even if it becomes a detriment to his health or social life. He's covered in excessive burns due to the fact that he refused to stop using his powers--even if they hurt him. He wants to prove he's worth something, even if it means he has to push himself past the point most others would--because he HAS to prove he's worth something. It's an obsession to be seen, he needs to be acknowledged.
❄️ Rude - While usually not intentional, his attitude is normally playfully coarse and blunt--and he can therefore come across as being rather rude. Sarcastic and prone to shittalking, most of his interactions with people can be seen as mean-spirited, but the truth is, he just doesn't censor himself, much. He isn't afraid to call people out when they're being shitty, or to point out their actions if he feels it's something worth being pointed out. This makes him come off as rude and abrasive, most of the time.
❄️ Defiant - He has a huge issue with authority and society as a whole. The way the world is slanted towards the rich and powerful, and those on the bottom rungs are treated like garbage. He himself was born with a severe disadvantage to the world--being someone who had a powerful ability that hurt him to use--he saw himself as being someone who was a mistake, and lives to prove the world wrong. That he isn't a mistake, and that the world's views are wrong. That everyone can be worthwhile; that the most important thing is hard work and being able to prove yourself.
❄️ Stubborn - His points of view can often be extreme and childish--deciding that, even when offered someone elses' opinion, that it's wrong if it directly clashes with his own. He will choose a hill and die on it, even if, logically, he knows that maybe not every hill he chooses to inhabit is worth dying on. He will also follow his goals despite any disadvantages or people telling him it's a bad idea. It's hard to convince him of different opinions, too.
❄️ Spiteful - and the most fun thing to go along with being stubborn is the fact that he runs off spite. Most of his life he's been told he can't become someone who's a hero, someone who can save others. he can't learn how to use or control his powers in any significant way--and he took that personally. His most driving emotion to everything he does is spite. Getting what he wants in what way he wants simply because it might prove someone else wrong, or prove to himself that he was right.

AU Name: Touya Todoroki
AU Age: 25 years
AU Birthday: January 18th

AU History: First born son of a large family, first-generation American, to Japanese parents. He was originally born in California, but came to move to Kaisou for school when he was 18.
Being the first born, his parents put expectations on him throughout life to be successful and moderately well-off, like his father was. While his family isn't rich, his mother is a nurse and his father an accountant-- They wished for him to follow their example and get a respectable, well-paying job so that he could make them proud.

Unfortunately for their plans, he instead went through a bit of a rebelliosu teenage phase--becoming interested in things like art and music instead of focusing on his studies. He started skipping classes to go to rock shows, and instead of using his time to study, he instead spent a lot of time practicing art--both painting, sketching, and ink work.

When his parents caught notice of his failing grades and bad attendance, they threatened to cut off his funding unless he went back to school and gave up, as they said, 'gallivanting around like a fool with no ambition', which only made his desires to continue doing what he enjoyed instead of what he was expected to do even stronger.

As promised, they most certainly did cut off his funding, but not before he got himself set with a few odd jobs around the city where he decided to quit school and save money to chase his own passions instead.
It was rough for a year or two, but once he had enough savings, he managed to put himself through a different kind of school: one that taught him the fine art of tattoo and body modification/piercing.

It took him about three years of spite and determination to see it through to the end, refusing each time his father called to 'go back to school and get a proper education', deciding that his life was his to lead.

Now, a few years later at the age of 25, he's gotten himself settled in Kaisou with a job as a somewhat well known body artist, doing mostly gothic and horror-elemented tattoo work for clients--his own body a web of his own tattoo work that's left him with more skin that's inked and pierced than skin that isn't.
He's quite happy with his life at current, but he's interested in something new recently: opening up his own parlor, instead of working under someone else.

He put forward a project request for funding for his own shop and, much to his surprise, his proposal was accepted and he's now settling into his new location and is looking for new clients.

It's just pretty weird when you wake up one day with white hair and the ability to conjure flames from your hands, right?

AU Personality Differences: He hasn't suffered the same neglect from his family he had in his past life, and is therefore a little more well-adjusted to society than his past self was and could have been. He's a lot less violent as well; because he was born without control over explosive fire, and he doesn't have the same motivation to 'fight the man', so to speak, so he'll be a little more laid back and far, far less angry at the world.

Character Name: Kafka
Canon: Honkai: Star Rail
Canon Point: After the 1.2 Patch Quest, Kafka's Character Quest
Age: Early to Mid 30s?
Birthday: August 9th

Personality: What would you do if there was something you wanted? Something you felt you couldn't live without?

For Kafka, the answer is, quite literally, anything. Born to a planet whose residents had lost the ability to feel fear, Kafka worked as an assassin (Implied: She "never knew those she worked with for long") before joining the Stellaron Hunters at Elio's request.

In her time with the Stellaron Hunters, she has committed many crimes. She has committed so many crimes. It would be easier to list the crimes that she did not commit than to list the ones she did. While Kafka enjoys her work to a certain degree, she doesn't have the disdain for human life that you'd see in some villains. Despite her penchant to "play with her food," her work with the Stellaron Hunters is a means to an end.

And that end, to her, is the ability to feel fear. It is highly implied that the thing that Elio had promised her is the ability to feel fear, and for that goal, she'll do just about anything. Because of the lack of fear, or perhaps just because it's her, she can seem pretty unflappable. She has the ability to play things off as if it's always a part of her plan, even if it isn't. She's cool, calm, and collected, and knows that the best way to make people afraid is to wait for them to flinch first.

With all this in mind, it sounds like she also lacks the capacity to care. This is far from the truth. Although Kafka can't feel fear, she can form attachments. She'll text the main character several times (assuming the player was lucky enough to win the Gacha lottery) just to ask what the main character is up to. If the player responds that they miss her, she'll reply that she's "actually really happy." Similarly, when Blade's affliction flares up, she calls the main character to try to get him under control. There's a distinct motherly undertone to her interactions with Silver Wolf, as well.

In Kaisou, she'll be happy to lay low. All of her work in canon is a means to an end, after all, and she's more than happy to play nice if there's even a sliver of a chance that someone here can help her learn to be afraid.

Time of Arrival to Kaisou: Early September

Items: Jacket, Cellphone, Sword
Retained Abilities: Hypnosis. Kafka has the ability to control those around her, using the target phrase "Listen.” This is extremely implied to be a form of hypnosis.

Note: This will not be used on other characters without explicit opt-in from players. Likely target will be NPCs.

Character Name: Marie Daenthelm
Canon: OC
Canon Point: Post war.
Age: 1000+
Birthday: March 6th
History: All world info here.
Her history is here.

Personality:
- She's known to be a very teasing, light hearted person. She's been through her share of troubles in the world, and a war that's left her traumatized, but she always makes sure to stay light hearted. Even in the worst of times, she manages to tease people and make the best out of a bad situation. She's good to have around during stressful, tense moments because she'll tend to crack a dumb joke or something to relieve the tension.

- Can become very violent and lose her temper if certain buttons are pushed. It's very rare for people to push her buttons, and there's only one person in particular that can cause a violent reaction out of her. Anything that has to do with Demetria Xydis can cause such a reaction, and if people align themselves with her, it's a sure way to see the end of your life. She doesn't tolerate anything that has to do with Demetria, even if they're on supposed "peaceful" terms. (They're not.)

- Might be a cold hearted killer at times, but she when she cares for people, she becomes extremely loyal to them. The military might have turned her into a killing machine, but she still knows love, and loyalty despite all of that. She loves her family, and will do anything for them. She also loves her students, who she spends time extra time with, if they so need it. In her later years, she spends a lot of time with students who fall into a life of crime, and human trafficking due to outside influence.

- Speaking of which, yes she is a cold hearted killer. She's had, and will kill people if she's so ordered to by the military, or if she deems someone a threat to her, her family, and her students. She's never had a problem with killing, and she carries out these killings without question. People are scared of her because of this, but she isn't the least bit intimidating and is actually very casual about everything.

- Marie is resilient. She's been through a war, had her loved ones killed in front of her, and still did not crack under pressure. She had to keep moving forward despite all the deaths, and hardships that she's gone through. It's a surprise that she hasn't cracked as much as she has, honestly, but Demetria describes her as a cockroach that is unwilling to die. For good reason. She refuses to die, or give in to the bad stuff that happens around her. Too much is at stake for her, and she knows it and lives with that responsibility.

- She is a family woman!! She's very family orientated, and you can constantly catch her doting about her children and her husband. It's one of the few times where people can see that she has childlike, innocent behaviors still. She loves her family, and won't hesitate to adopt someone in turn, if she sees them like family as well. She is very much a mother-hen when she isn't on the job, and her natural, maternal instinct will take over a lot of the time.

Time of Arrival to Kaisou: Just go here, but uh. hand gestures YOU KNOW MODS I'LL LET YOU DEAL WITH HER LABYRINTH.
Items:
- Scythe
- Wedding Ring
- The last pack of her favorite smokes rip
Retained Abilities:
Spirit magic: Can use spirit magic to create 'spirit shockwaves', which is essentially a huge disk of magic that she throws at her enemies. These shockwaves basically turn her enemies to ash if they get hit, and transforms them into spirit energy that she can absorb.

Character Name: Iskandar

Canon: Fate/Zero - OC

Canon Point: Season 2, Episode 23: "The Sea and the End of the World" - Right before his untimely demise by Gilgamesh using his noble phantasm 'Enuma Elish' in his final battle, ordering Waver to live out his hopes and dreams without fear.

Age: Mid to Late thirties.

Birthday: Unknown canonically but I've always gone with July 20th since it is Alexander the Greats birthday!

History: Info Page

Personality: Iskandar is an aspect of both considerable compassion and physical strength but one thing is certain above all else, the King of Conqueror's is an adventurous soul with an insatiable lust to control the known world. Upon first summoning Rider learns all that he can about the modern age and what obstacles he must overcome to achieve his goal of conquering the new world with the aid of his young master, Waver Velvet. Despite the differences in their personality and way of thinking Iskandar has nothing but the utmost respect for Waver as time passes by, the two becoming close companions with the spirit even bestowing the great honor of a retainer to his master before his untimely demise at the hands of Gilgamesh. Waver's will and determination rivals that of his own and for that Iskandar comes to respect his master even if he was a timid little boy at the best of times who constantly second guessed his abilities.

Thirsting for knowledge and power, the tyrant king can often be found seeking battle or exploring the modern world of his own accord during his free time despite Waver's constant protest. Loud and bold, along with his relentless ambition, Iskandar can be found as arrogant to most but does not see these characteristics as flaws, more so necessary traits of a strong willed leader. As such Iskandar uses his ambitions and greed to his advantage, the tyrant king acquiring wealth, status, sex and power by whatever means necessary though bestowing mercy when met with loyalty. Although Iskandar can be seen as ruthless to some, fealty to his friends and master are without question. Bonds of friendship are highly important to him, surpassing that of any riches when it comes down to it. Believing wealth and power to come naturally as a ruler, Rider values the respect of his companions, soldiers and friends alike above all else. Thus is proven time and time again throughout the entirety of the series, especially so when it comes to his young master Waver. During the first battle betwixt Saber and Lancer, Kayneth Archibald, the one whom meant to originally summon Iskandar openly mocks Waver calling him inadequate and weak. He is quick to defend his young master however, although seemingly afraid his master rode out with him by his side whilst Kayneth cowered in the shadows, a true master worthy of his servitude compared to a coward hiding in the darkness.

Reason and logic do not dictate Iskandar's course of actions, greed and impulse often paving the way as the King of Conqueror rides into battle without hesitation or fear. Fool hearty to some is it Iskandar's greed and determination that inspires his followers, such inspiration is the key to his noble phantasm, Ionioi Hetairoi. Unlike most tyrants however, Iskandar's greed is not to be mistaken by cruelty, often resorting to words over bloodshed in his quest to conqueror all. This is proven during his first confrontation with both Lancer and Saber, trying to recruit the pair as his retainers instead of an outright battle despite his desire for conquest. Initially the other servants take him as a fool and naive for a spirit of his caliber but over time gains the favor of both Archer and Saber in their own ways.

Whilst Iskandar could never truly befriend Gilgamesh over the coming days of the Grail War the two share an unparalleled rivalry in their conquest to achieve their ideals and possess the Holy Grail, a mutual respect forming betwixt them although ultimately still enemies until the bitter end. His bond with Saber however is more difficult in comparison, Iskandar's pride and way of kingship polar opposites to the King of Knights. Rider finds her selfless ideals of sacrifice for her people abysmal compared to his own ways of leadership, a king should be proud and inspiring rather than filled with sorrow and regret like Artoria. A king should be forthright and sure of himself rather than filled with self doubt, rallying his people rather than isolating themselves away like a fool, far worse than any tyrant in his mind. Although Iskandar made many mistakes over his lifetime he was always sure in himself without any regret, the mark of a true King of Conquerors.

Time of Arrival to Kaisou: The current in-game date would be most suitable I think!

Items: His one and only trusted sword of the Kupriotes!

Retained Abilities: Summon - Bucephalus: Unlike his Noble Phantasm, 'Gordius Wheel', Bucephalus' is Iskandar's valiant personal stead capable of being summoned at will by the Rider class Servant.

Noble Phantasm - 'Gordius Wheel': Led by two Divine bulls, the embodiment of Zeus himself, 'Gordius Wheel' is Iskandar's most commonly used Noble Phantasm capable of both flight and ground travel. It's massive size rivals that of an average sized vehicle, devastatingly huge sickles gracing each side capable of destroying any obstacle in its way. With each stomp of the Divine Bulls hoofs thunderous sounds erupt, lightning strikes protruding from the chariot in an attempt to blast Rider's opponents.

Noble Phantasm - 'Ionioi Hetairoi': More commonly known as 'Army of the King' is Iskandar's ultimate Noble Phantasm. Using a "Reality Marble" that encompasses the King of Conquerors along with his enemies, 'Ionioi Hetairoi' is the embodiment of Iskandar's dreams, kingship and legacy, loyal subjects following him into battle without hesitation.

*POWER NERF NOTES* - 'Ionioi Hetairoi': I have a feeling his 'Ionioi Hetairoi' is a little unbalanced in terms of power, I generally don't mind if he's unable to use this ability given its world altering abilities! When last I played him in a game it was significantly reduced to a smaller, contained area so as to keep it balanced and was unable to use it within any city limits.

THERE WILL BE 1.3 SPOILERS IN THIS APP!

Player Name: Ryuu
Contact: Ryuu @ Discord
Invited by: Saffy, a long time ago, and we have questioned ever since
Other Characters: Jusis Albarea, Venti

Character Name: Dan Heng
Canon: Honkai: Star Rail
Canon History: Dan Heng, Imbitor Lunae, and Vidyadhara since that one's pretty important to why he is the way he is!

Canon Personality: 🌕 Dan Heng comes off as cold and reserved. He doesn't really like to talk about himself much.

🌕 He's very blunt, and can be passive-aggressive.

🌕 Dan Heng doesn't express his emotions outwardly to people for the most part. However, when he's alone or when a situation is dire, it's a lot clearer to see what he's feeling.

🌕 His main goal had been to run far away from his past and kin, but that's all changed. Instead, he's now facing his past to see what he can do to fix what his previous incarnation has done.

🌕 He harbors an intense anger towards being seen as Dan Feng rather than his own person. He hates that he has to bear Dan Feng's sins when he's not that person anymore, especially when his sentence of premature rebirth should mean that Dan Heng has a clean slate.

🌕 Dan Heng has a steely defiance within himself. Even his weapon ability, tailored to him as a unit, is called "Defiant 'Til Death." This seems to be at the core of him as a person, since there's an implication that defiance runs throughout his line.

🌕 He cares deeply for the people he befriends. Such as going onto the Luofu despite the fact that his status as an exile would mean he will immediately put to death if he's caught. He does this so that Dan Heng can keep his friends safe from a man who has been pursuing him with a killing intent (yes it's Blade).

🌕 Several characters express how he and his previous incarnation are cold and aloof, and sometimes they call him arrogant. However, there are a few who also express that he looks lonely and that he's never really been looked at like he's a person with feelings by most people.

🌕 Dan Heng holds the braincell for the Astral Express at all times.

AU Name: N/A
AU Age: 27 (his age in canon is unknown, but speculated to be maybe 300 years old)
AU Birthday: July 8th
Faction: POKEGO (Archivist Maple)

AU History: Dan Heng's parents moved from China to Boston, Massachussetts when he was around a year old. A year afterwards, he was blessed with having a little sister to look out for. Growing up, he had very high expectations put on him to do well academically and also was pressured into picking STEM or law as his career paths. It was very difficult to maintain friendships as a kid because of how demanding his schoolwork became once he hit middle school. To help let off some steam and keep himself in shape, they let him choose what sport to participate in, and Dan Heng chose figure skating. At the very least, it wasn't a team sport, which was what he felt he'd not do very well in given his introverted nature.

By all accounts, he appeared to be excelling and meeting his family's expectations. He got straight A's, his competitions were going well, he was earning scholarships, and they were all very proud of him and his accomplishments. His dream was to become an archivist, and he was able to compromise with his parents by taking on a double-major in biology and archival science at university. The only negative was that Dan Heng didn't really have a social life. He worked well in a team environment, but friendship wasn't exactly easy for him. He preferred to keep to himself.

He was around 20 and in his second year of college when he started getting strange gifts left in his messenger bag. Dan Heng never really knew where they came from, but he threw them away when it became clear that his family had nothing to do with it. However, then he started getting notes that were probably romantic to the writer, but absolutely creepy to the recipient. Again, Dan Heng disposed of them and kept a much closer watch on both his surroundings and his belongings. After about six months of stalking yet never seeing the person's face, he made a mistake.

Dan Heng was walking back to his dorm from a study session that went very late. His guard was down for a second, but that was all his stalker really needed. He was threatened with a knife and was about to get dragged off to a more secluded section nearby. However, Dan Heng's instinct was to fight back instead of freeze up and comply. This would turn out to be an almost fatal decision. His stalker stabbed him in the heart during the struggle. Two things happened at once. The first was a strange, extremely vivid memory of something like this happening to him before, but with a sword instead of a knife. How he then transformed into his true self: a Vidyadhara with the power of storms seething in his blood.

The only difference between the two incidents was that instead of a person, Dan Heng transformed into a dragon. He'd been in a panic, completely unsure what was going on, and his powers responded to that. He couldn't quite recall the details of what had happened, but he knew that he was a fury of fangs and claws that severely injured the stalker. It was maybe a minute before Dan Heng managed to get control of himself enough to figure out how to transform back into a human. He called security, explaining what had happened... but left out the part that he was the one to cause the injuries. He simply told them that it was a wild animal. Unfortunately, by the time security and the paramedics arrived, the stalker had bled out and died. Dan Heng was arrested and taken in for questioning, spending three days in a cell. He was eventually released since they had no evidence to back up the murder, but it left him with yet another memory of being in a prison that was... much worse than the one he'd been put into.

Dan Heng went back to his parents' home instead of his dorm. He wasn't sure how someone even went about processing all of that, but he started by making sure all of his work in classes were turned in electronically. However, the incident caught the attention of The Black Order, and they sent a Guardian to attempt to recruit him while he was visiting his family. However, instead of recruiting him, the Guardian actually advised that Dan Heng accept an invitation from the scientific organization, POKEGO. He wasn't sure what to think of that, especially when the person didn't even tell him a goddamn thing of value, but he was convinced into accepting the arrangement.

Given the circumstances of his 'awakening' to his past life, the first thing they did was allow Dan Heng to choose his Pokémon partner. He was basically adopted by an Altaria and she wasn't about to budge from her new human, so he named her Cirrus. She was trained diligently to essentially be a therapy animal, since she was already showing signs that she had a high compatibility for that kind of training. This would help Dan Heng greatly since he developed a disassociation disorder. They both became protective of each other during this training.

While with POKEGO, Dan Heng managed to somewhat move on from the incident and gained his Bachelor's in Biology and Archival Science. Instead of taking a break, he launched into earning his Master's in Archival Science and a PhD in Biology. At the same time, Dan Heng would join certain research expeditions for both practical credit and as a guard for the researchers, given his skill with a spear he abruptly came into owning. On one of those expeditions, he reluctantly made friends with one of the researchers. His new and possibly only friend understood that he was prioritizing school, and supported him where he could. Dan Heng was grateful for it. He felt like he'd found something he'd been missing, even if he didn't say that aloud.

When he was 25, his friend approached him to ask about whether he would be interested in a project that Professor Willow was working on. Dan Heng declined, stating that he was far too inexperienced in the research biology department to truly add anything of value. Though his friend argued that point, he seemed to respect Dan Heng's decision and never asked again. It was only a short year later that he found out what this "project" was. He was devastated by the loss of his friend, and he was forced to take a semester off in order to grieve. Perhaps Dan Heng should've taken the entire year off, but he threw himself back into his studies with single-minded determination. If nothing else, Dan Heng wanted to make sure that his friend could be proud of him for graduating, no matter his sins. Even though it brought back painful memories from his past life.

Dan Heng was in his last semester before graduating from college when he was asked to join the team in Kaisou. He decided to agree so long as he could finish school online, and his request was granted. He promised to put all of his effort into research once he had his degree. He was also able to get a job to help himself financially, at least a little bit. Dan Heng would be a professor of biology at Kaisou University upon graduation, and would start teaching classes in the spring.

AU Personality Differences: 🍁 While Dan Heng's willing to work with a group, he doesn't go out of his way to make friends. Mostly because he doesn't know how, and also because he lost the one friend he did have.

🍁 Remembering his particular past life can make a guy feel like he's dissociating, so he'll probably have some similar issues as Dan Feng used to have (for example, Dan Feng felt that his face was like a mask he can't take off rather than his own).

🍁 Although he can't physically run from his memories, he's instead developed a similar way to cope by burying himself in work. His memories can't catch him if Dan Heng's busy trying to figure out the biology of a Dedenne!

Element: N/A
Purchased Powers: Vidyadhara high elder (8 points), Cloud-Piercer (3 points), horse-sized dragon transformation (4 points), weapon hammerspace (1 point)

Vidyadhara High Elder
-Shapeshifting (can go between his human form, Vidyadhara form, and dragon form)
-Eyes that glow during dramatic moments
-Draconic horns and tail (tail can be dismissed and summoned at will; having his tail out also makes his horns a lot more draconic)
-His Vidyadhara form
-Pupil aesthetic in his human form
-Extended lifespan (typically living somewhere around a thousand years)
-Reincarnation (details aren't known to the exact process, but Vidyadhara are all capable of returning to an egg and hatching from those eggs into a new life. high elders are unique in that they can start to remember their past lives in dreams, and they also look exactly the same as the first high elder's incarnation.)
-Mara curse (might not come up, but being mara-struck is basically the opposite of Genshin's erosion: it's an accumulation of memory and emotion that builds up into a poison over time. Vidyadhara are immune to this due to their reincarnation cycles, but that doesn't mean something can't induce it.)

Starting Pokemon: Altaria (Female, named Cirrus)

Character Name: Akaza
Canon: Demon Slayer
Canon History: Wiki

Canon Personality:
Headstrong, stubborn, and battle crazed.
Enjoys fighting, especially against those he deems strong.
Draws out battles to savor them, often complimenting his opponents strong attacks and techniques.
Looks down on anyone that he deems weak, to the point that his skin crawls at the sight of them.
Will often present those he deems strong with the option to become demons during their fights, as to have stronger opponents.
Understands that people get stronger, and will not hold someone he deemed weak in that light if they show themselves to have become stronger. He’ll battle and enjoy fighting against them.
Hates anything that reminds him that he was human, and will strongly react negatively towards anyone who reminds him of that.

AU Name: Hakuji ‘Haku’ Morrison
AU Age: 19 years
AU Birthday: June 21st

AU History: Haku was adopted to Texas ranchers when he was a baby, he has no knowledge of his birth parents except for the fact that they were Japanese. His parents were Texas ranchers and barbeque owners. When he turned 18 he tried to find his real parents, feeling a disconnect between his parents and himself, he decided to go to Japan to see if he could find anything out from the adoption agency.

Once he arrived in Japan he went to the address that was last listed for the adoption agency, but it was long closed and no one had any information on if they had moved or where their records were kept. After a few weeks of trying to find information out he called it what it was, a lost cause, and moved on. He decided to come back to America, but being afraid to face his parents after their fight and his running to Japan, he decided to settle in Kaisou.

As he no longer has any money, spending it all on plane tickets, he decided to do the only thing he knows how, and work as a chef in a steakhouse in Kaisou turning out steak after steak.

Until for some reason unknown to him, he developed a taste almost overnight for rare steak. Almost like the cow is still mooing rare, and glowing yellow eyes.

AU Personality Differences: He doesn’t have the same level of abandonment issues that his canon self does. He has some, but since he did grow up with loving parents he doesn’t want to fight the whole world. He is still willing to throw down with just about anyone, however his fights now are over who makes better food than who can punch harder.

Character Name: Arno Dorian
Canon: Assassin's Creed Unity, OU+CRAU (Eachdraidh)
Canon Point: Post-Mirabeau's death and murdering Bellec
Age: 24-25
Birthday: August 26th!
History: One French assassin at your service

CRAU (Eachdraidh): Bullet points for the important moments!

• Brought into the Unseelie court to save the world rather then let the Void take it. Arno learns his lover, Élise, is on the side of the Seelie. He does his best to keep neutral on the war and stay out of it as much as he can.

• The Battle of Caer Scima happens, ruining the entire castle (which is where he was staying), and killing others in the process. The Seelie attack is successful, sending most of the Unseelie their separate ways and further into their territory.

• Over the next year (in-game timeskip), Arno traveled among the lands by horse, met with other shardbearers, and earned two titles due to quests he completed: "Dark Hood" and "The Arising."

• He eventually met Waver Velvet and joined the neutral party trying to find a third way to end the war without one side winning over the other. With this, he began to set up a network that connected with Waver's own contacts and clients, eventually creating his own smaller version of Le Café Théâtre. It was settled by the University, and Arno began to learn basic warding spells in between his information gathering and message passing.

• In year two, meeting anyone on the opposite side of the war was near impossible, threatening to have their shard taken out of them. Élise and Arno continued to try and keep in contact with each other and try to find ways out of the Drabwurld. The Void began devouring lands and oceans, others trying to halt its progress and failing. Eventually, it led to open fights between both courts, which drew everyone closer to the final end.

• At the peak of battle between Seelie and Unseelie, Arno and Élise as well as many others made their way towards the Gem that was the Drabwurld's soul. Whoever wished upon it would determine the fate and future of how all the realms would do past the touch of the Void. Having so many reach for the Gem and wish for an alternative way to tackle the problem caused it to bring everyone back in time, towards the beginning of when the courts first appeared. With it, the shardbearers were tasked with preventing the future from coming to pass, where now seven courts are active around the Drabwurld rather than two.

• Arno was sorted into the Amber Court, one that was focused on diplomacy, and he began in earnest to try and work with Élise to both save the worlds and figure out a way to go back home. After fighting a group of pirates causing issues in one of the towns, he was suddenly whisked away to Kaisou without rhyme or reason.

Personality:

OU:

Refined sassery: Arno is one who is quick to throw around banter, but is also a gentleman about it. Rarely, if ever, is he the type to insult someone using brash and crude words- if he's gonna hurl slang, he's gonna be completely French about it and be eloquent and a pompous dent in someone's side.

Obsessed with redemption: The biggest part of his personality, Arno lives and breathes the need to right his wrongs, even if the wrongs were things he had no control over. He sees that the ultimate goal of his is to find redemption for the deaths of his two fathers, because otherwise he'll forever carry them on his shoulders as something he could have prevented.

Refuses to quit: If there's one thing that Arno usually does with grace and familiarity, it's picking himself back up again and going after the same goal, even if the previous attempt ended in failure. Some may see this as being stubborn, but it's the reason he's managed to do so much for the Brotherhood as well as push his own ideals.

Selfish: Despite being kind, the reason Arno fights for what he does is to return to the life he once had, before the death of Élise's father and when things were simpler. No war, no fighting for his life, no endless struggle to try and convince others that Templar and Assassin can work together.

Idealistic: Having lost so much, so quickly, Arno is of a desperate mind that if he fixes things, rights his wrongs, that time will return to a familiarity that he deeply misses. He also fully supports the ideals of the common people of France, commiserating with their struggles and frustrations and wanting a better life for them.

Impulsive: If there's anything Arno is known for, it's the idea of "act first, think later." The Frenchman prides himself in thinking on the go, moving quickly to where he needs to be, and sometimes this really does not work in his favor. Like that one time he tried to get rid of an entire silo full of ammunition the French militia was going to use against the protestors, and he lit one of the ammunition boxes on fire while he was still in the silo.

Kindhearted: Throughout all of this, Arno still holds gentleness and kindness in his emotions and his heart. As protective of how close he gets to people nowadays, there's still a need to belong somewhere, and a desire to care for those who he treasures above all else.

CRAU (Eachdraidh):

Strategic: Arno has spent enough time with both a network and actually in an all-out war to know how to choose which path to take. One that hopefully won't cause explosions while he's still in the building.

Bi-partisan view: Having been in the Drabwurld for two years has caused him to focus his views far more on a larger scale, rather then just his own. It's a step towards the right direction, Arno beginning to understand some of the true meaning of the Creed, but he still has a ways to go.

Time of Arrival to Kaisou: Literally whenever he's accepted!

Items:

There's A LOT he carries on him; for the sake of being realistic, I've knocked a bunch out to account for the weight of his inventory.

Assassin Robes (hood, chest, bracers, belt, breeches)
Hidden blade with Phantom Blade attachment
Snake-Hilted Sword
Arno’s Pistol
2 smoke bombs
3 medicines
9 bullets/ammunition
7 lockpicks
His father's pocketwatch
Book full of wards/warding spells
His own journal

Retained Abilities:

Eagle Vision - A special kind of seeing that has been passed down from generation to generation from the First Civilization. In previous generations, there were only four colors used to differentiate between people (red for enemies, white for citizens or hiding places, blue for allies, and yellow for targets). This has changed for a major reason, as there are more than one kind of people within the French Revolution. For Arno, red means an Extremist, blue means French military, white are hiding spots, yellow is for targets, and green is for allies.

Character Name:
Canon: Original Character
Canon Point: During the ori war.
Age: 300+
Birthday: Feb 23rd
History:
here

Personality:
- Appears to be aloof and unfriendly, but in reality, he is closed off after experiencing trauma from his kidnapping. He puts up walls to protect himself from people, but will open up once he learns that not everyone is out to get him. Once he opens up, he's actually quite kind and caring to the people around him that want to genuinely get to know him. He's most at ease with his two lovers, but he can and will be at ease if you try and get to know him past his paranoid, anxious self.

- A bit emotionally stunted. When he was kidnapped, he was tortured. To endure the torture, he turned off his emotions. He's trying to get better at this, now that he's no longer in that situation. He is a bit better as he grows older, but he's still suffering from the after effects of the situation. There are times where he'll smile when it's inappropriate, or make no expression at all. For the most part he does keep a neutral expression.

- When you get to meet him, he is a kind person. He cares about the people he's friends with, and will do everything in his power to help them. He's the type of person that will bring you soup if you're sick, and take care of you in general if you're feeling sad. He wants people to not be lonely because he's blessed with his two lovers, and his family, so he tries his best to be that friend for someone. He's a fiercely loyal friend, and companion.

- A little awkward, but it adds to this odd charm that he has. Astralin is a bit awkward because he doesn't have a lot of social interaction with people. He tries his best not to be so awkward, but he will shy away half the time when someone is trying to speak to him. It gets a bit better when he opens up to you, which isn't hard to do if you openly speak your mind, or if you protect him in some sort of way. He'll also tend to loosen up if people use humor around him, as he's always so serious.

- It's very hard to make him angry, or irritated. He keeps a calm sense of mind. After being tortured in his youth, he's turned that part of his mind off. He's similar to a monk in this regard, and he's the person that everyone comes to whenever they need advice, or just need a calming voice to talk to. He does not mind being that person, as he is a very calming person in general when he's not a ball of anxiety.

- Suffers from intense paranoia. His past makes it difficult for him to trust people in general, and in turn, he suffers from paranoia. There are things that will make his paranoia more intense, like stiff body language and tenseness. Basically anything that can be as suspicious makes his paranoia worse. Honestly, he tries not to be so paranoid when meeting someone, but he just can't help it most of the time. He will start to appear unnerving, and Astralin will tend to flee the situation.

Time of Arrival to Kaisou: Just arrived here.
Items:
- Scythe
- Wedding Ring
- Locket with Hrist and Rivoix's picture
- (1) live chicken, named 'Scramble'

Retained Abilities:
Ice magic: Astralin can summon icicle spears with his ice magic, and use it as a throwing weapon. He can also conjure up an ice shield to protect himself or someone else if they're in trouble. Can also use creationism with his ice magic; able to create simple things like ice sculptures for funsies.

Character Name: Saori Nakagawa
Canon: OC
Canon Point: Recently engaged to Kenichi
Age: 42 (Physically looks 27)
Birthday: June 15
History: World Info and Personal History

Personality:
Maternal - Saori has a tendency to be a motherly/big sister figure to those around her. She essentially is an anchor to her family and friends and a provider of comfort meals.

Kind - Despite the hardships Saori endured over her lifetime, she still manages to be a kind soul who reaches out to others. Whether it's making a hot meal or just being someone would who just listen, she will be there. That being said, kindness does not mean naïve and so she wouldn't hesitate to throw hands on someone she believes deserves it. She does get angry and stands up for herself if her close friends and family get hurt, she’s being pestered while at work, or someone insults her skills without providing any sort of constructive criticism. Violence fueled by blood lust is a something unlike her. Fighting however is natural to her line of work, but Saori always tends to be the one who checks on the victims first before anything else. After experiencing the multiple deaths in the family and her own, she knows the value of life very well.

Empathetic - If a person needed someone to talk to or needed something, Saori would be there to help in anyway possible. She always waits for them to finish and never says her opinion out loud unless they do want to hear it. In many cases she tries to get all sides of the story. She’s considered by her peers as a very reliable and diligent hard worker.

Secretive -However, she does tend not to be open about herself to others immediately in return. She mostly keeps personal things to herself unless she has someone who she completely trusts. Building those long term relationships is even harder. After losing her family and regrettably saying no to her first marriage proposal, it took a while to allow herself having those types of relationships again. Her tendency to fall on "you never asked" as a justification on why she doesn't explain things about herself is one of her bad habits.

Self-sacrificing: After losing her parents, young Saori knew she had to learn how to take care of herself and her little brother Akira quickly. Out of habit, she held back on things that would lead to her personal growth to make sure Akira got them instead. If she feels someone can benefit more from something and has good intentions for it, despite her own desire for something, she wouldn't hesitate for the other person to take it.

Time of Arrival to Kaisou: Whenever she is accepted.

Items:
- Thigh holster holding 3 glass phials of smoke
- Layered silver necklace with a blue stone
- Silver engagement ring
- 1 pair of white handwraps
- 1 cream colored kitchen apron with green trim and pockets
- 1 tanto short sword
- 1 magnesium firestarter

Retained Abilities: Smoke manipulation - She can telekinetically manipulate smoke and even make temporary constructs out of it. She can sacrifice its durability for increased stats but is also limited by how much smoke is available to her.

Character Name: Goro Akechi
Canon: Persona 5 Royal
Canon History: Wiki link (cw: brief mentions of suicide)

Canon Personality:
Goro Akechi is a mess of contradictions. He's someone so deeply buried under his mask that his true self is almost unrecognizable. He's ruled by two things: his lies, and his hate.

Outwardly, Goro is a perfectly polite boy. He's a famous celebrity, and has a gentle and approachable demeanor for that. He values justice with a passion, and always tries to approach things methodically and logically. He's the kind of charming pretty boy with perfect grades that girls love to fawn over. He's the Detective Prince, and lives up to the fairytale ideal that conjures.

And okay, most of the charming and pleasant stuff is crafted for TV, but he's still a detective driven by a desire to reveal the truth. He's fiercely independent and not above a little bit of trickery, but all for the greater good. Of course.

Except not. That's all a lie. Most of what Goro makes himself is just a lie. All of that Detective Prince persona (heh) was created to charm others to get what he wants. Deep down he's extremely bitter and misanthropic, willing to destroy anyone and everyone in his way. He has a low opinion of everyone around him, and views others either as pawns or obstacles. He's a liar and manipulator, through and through. Hell, he enjoys the game of tricking others.

In fact, some people might even call him twisted. When he really lets his true self out, he's cruel and a little... too eager to engage in violence. He doesn't care about the feelings of others, and believes he can rely on nobody but himself. He wants nothing more than vengeance, even if he's too blinded by his anger and hate to realize his plan isn't very good.

But maybe somewhere deep down in him, there's a synthesis of his two sides that's real. After all, he only adopted the cruelty that was shown to him. And one moment, he's arrogant and competitive, and the next moment he's deeply insecure and depressed. He has some morals, even if they're only of his own making. So many of his masks and plans are so deeply flawed because he's consumed by the need for affection and approval, even from the very people he wants to destroy. He's self-destructive to a fault, able to recognize his pride as his downfall but unable to tear himself away from it.

Goro Akechi is a mess. You can't pin him down. He's predictable. He's a wildcard. He's desperate for people but too proud to ask for help. He's too many things at once, bursting at the seams. He is, at the end of the day, a tragedy.

AU Name: n/a
AU Age: 21
AU Birthday: June 2nd

AU History: Much of his childhood was roughly the same -- raised alone by his mother, with no contact from his father. After his mother commit suicide, he was bounced between any relative or foster home that would have him, rarely staying in any long.

Even as a child he had a faint sense for the supernatural, but generally attempted to ignore it. Guardians usually wrote it off as an overactive imagination, and so he learned not to talk about any faint presences he may or not feel.

That changed when he was 15. A bad accident left him nearly dead, and he was possessed by a Nachtkrapp. Now he was forced to reckon with the world of the supernatural, whether or not he wanted it. more stuff here

He began to go to university to study criminal justice. For his third year, he got a scholarship and transferred to university in America, to Kaisou University. He grudgingly made "friends" with Shio Takahata given their similar childhood, though Goro tries to keep his distance. Given his affliction, he frequents Cafe Millenia a lot for his developing caffeine addiction. He's getting close to graduating, and it's probably law school after that... assuming nothing interferes.

AU Personality Differences: Goro is a little less, uh, intense! Not becoming an assassin in this AU has helped him to be a little bit more stable. His lack of any notable fame (besides being popular at school) also means his polite mask isn't as extreme as it is normally, and he's a little more open to letting people see his true, bitter self. He's still on the edge of turning down a dark path, but he hasn't yet. And that makes all the difference.

Element: Shadow
Purchased Powers:
Sleep Induction (Low) - 1 pt
Stealth (Low) - 1 pt
Shadow Claws (medium) - 2 pts
Night Vision (medium) - 2 pts

Possession: Possessed by a Nachtkrapp. The contract price is insomnia. Staying up and following the urge to go outside at night fulfills the contact. On a regular day, this is manageable and at a level of common insomnia, just staying up a few hours or getting little sleep. After using his powers, he will need to stay up the whole night (sunset to sunrise). As such, he's pretty chronically sleep deprived!

Player Name: Bon
Contact: bonpuns @ plurk/discord
Invited by: I’ve been held here at gunpoint for a year
Other Characters: Takame Kesi, Eunie, Diarmuid ua Duibhne

Character Name: Ragna the Bloodedge
Canon: BlazBlue
Canon History: Here! (Any memory regains will not count any crossover/side games or Dark War)

Canon Personality: - Angry. A big core of Ragna’s character is that he is angry with the world and what it stole from him. A humble but loving and welcoming family in a church with his two siblings, one of whom is the reason why he nearly died that day and he holds resentment even to this day. Against both said sibling and the organization that was at least partly responsible he really wants revenge. He’s rude, abrasive, swears every other sentence, picks hostility if someone looks at him wrong. He’s kind of a real dick, honestly.

- Aggressive. Ties back into the anger but with nicknames like The Grim Reaper (yes really) you won’t exactly expect a pacifist. For all he starts fights he is extremely capable of finishing them. It’s not because he gets a kick out of it he just wants people to fuck off and if they’re going to talk shit put their money where their mouth is before he intros their mouth to the ground. He is extremely impulsive and does not think at all before acting.

- Anti-social. He does not want to make friends with you, your mom, your brother, your cat… okay well maybe your cat, we’ll get to that. But he does not like people he does not get people. He actively chooses to be alone and will go the extra mile to do that.

- Tsundere. He does prefer to be alone but there’s goodness deep in his heart. If you manage to pierce through his angry core you’ll find a guy with a lot of love in his heart who will do anything and everything to protect his loved ones. He takes care of his own and has a soft spot for younger kids or more naive sorts. He’s surprisingly patient but will gladly joke and play around with them. Even his brother Jin who he said he’d never forgive, he ends up going easy on every time even if he curses himself for it.

- Severely Traumatized and Broken. This is brought up solely because Ragna is deeply scarred emotionally and much of his rage is him not having a clue of how to cope with his loss besides lashing out. He still has nightmares of his experiences constantly but he just reacts to them by swearing. At least part of his anti-social nature has to do with his awareness that the Azure Grimoire drains the life of people around him so he won’t admit it but he has that consideration despite his hate of the world but this is also just to avoid processing his emotions either way,

- Loyal. When you are in this guy’s circle you are never leaving it as long as you don’t betray him. He cares and will never betray someone himself. He is a family man through and through and when you’re in it you’re in it for life.

- Determined. Oh my god this man is the most stubborn piece of shit you will ever see, he continued to fight to keep his people safe while missing an arm. He is stubborn to a fault, he could be broken in every place and has been and he still kept on moving. He has been battered, beaten, bashed, bullied everything in the book and he never stopped walking even if god only knew whose soul was in his body because he’s a human being. Even at the end when he opted to sacrifice himself he never stopped walking for the sake of his family’s future over his.

AU Name: Ragna Ayatsuki Mercurisson
AU Age: 24
AU Birthday: March 3 (Canon)

AU History: Ragna is the oldest of three siblings born to a Japanese absentee father and an Icelandic mother in Northern Europe. There being no father in his life, he stepped up to be the big man of the house. His sister was born sickly and his brother was obnoxiously clingy which you know was annoying. They fought like siblings, they got scolded as siblings, but they were just a normal religious family albeit a somewhat impoverished one.

It was around when he was a teenager that everything fell apart. Going out to get some snacks for his family since they had a little fun money and returning to his home being burned to the ground. He ran in immediately to find his mother and siblings inside and saw glimpses of some shady looking people inside. He wanted to stop them, he knew they had some magic power so he had to use it. It didn’t go as he thought, he learned his mother was killed by them and debris from the home fell on him and snapped his arm, pinning him down and leaving the agents to leave with his siblings and let him succumb to burning and smoke inhalation.

Everything else from that day is blank to him except thinking: Take it. I want to live. Because I am going to destroy them all.

Little did he know it was a response to something. Give your power to me and only me and we will make them pay.

He didn’t know what he agreed to, just that someone was there. He didn't know how far his power went, just that it was "his". He just existed to destroy. At some point he was found by someone who helped him with some refinement of his magic, acquiring a prosthetic arm or forming one from his power, better his fighting, giving him a name of the organization to hunt for: Krusnik.

Years passed and eventually he wandered off on his own to begin destroying everything he could of the organization, any source of them no matter how small. He didn’t expect to find his siblings alive, he wanted revenge. Nothing else. The stronger he got the less he thought about it.

At some point in August 2023 he caught wind of one such base, but by the time he arrived it was already being destroyed by a woman in black. Of course he wondered what the hell is the big deal and eventually he learned about a city in the US. Kaisou.

It wasn’t with any plan of action, he just knew Krusnik once existed in the US and he would quell whatever remained of it.

Too bad no one told him the Geo Archon buried it but what’s a Geo Archon, he’s not interested in your edibles fuck you he’s going to Kaisou.

AU Personality Differences: He doesn’t have the familial resentment towards his younger brother anymore because it wasn’t either of his siblings’ fault what happened unlike in canon but aside from that he's largely the same.

Element: Shadow

Purchased Powers:

Shadow Manipulation (High, 4)
Shadow Claws (Medium, 2)

Possession:
Ragna is possessed by an Onryo that wants its own revenge just against the world in general and sensed the same desire that Ragna had. The cost is a dangerously shortened lifespan (he'll likely not live past 30) and essentially absolute control over his power which in this case means his Azure Grimoire. It also tends to dislike when he gets too close to anyone and will disable the Grimore and thus his entire upper right side whenever it wants even at great risk to him.

There are Genshin Impact 4.1 spoilers in this application.

Player Name: SF
Contact: PM
Invited by: Saffy
Other Characters: N/A

Character Name: Neuvillette (first name unknown)
Canon: Genshin Impact
Canon History: Wiki

Canon Personality:

  • Kind-hearted - While he is beholden to his duty as the Chief Justice of Fontaine, he is generally good-natured and caring of the people he serves - he just does it from afar. He is shown to be very warm and loving towards creatures he cares for as well, like the melusines, and they consider him to be their father.

  • Selfless - Ambition is a foreign word to him - things need judging, so here he is, nothing more, nothing less.

  • Just - He has a very strong sense of justice that overrules any of his personal feelings, as shown by him declaring a dear friend guilty, as was required by law, even though all signs pointed to him being innocent. He does not care who it is to be judged, be it human or god or Heavenly Principle; as long as there is a need, he will do it.

  • Calm/Patient - Not much can faze him, and he stays collected even in the most dire of situations, preferring to focus on the task on hand. Being Furina's right hand, he's shown to be immune to her antics and has what seems to be an endless font of patience, still continuing to support her no matter how exasperating she is.

  • Intelligent/Eloquent/Confident - He is very well-read and able to make deductions easily, and he is articulate on many subjects, even in trivial ones. He knows his strengths and limits and does not downplay what he can or cannot do.

  • Emotional/Empathetic(?) - He feels things quite deeply even though he doesn't show them outwardly. One of the things he wants the most is to understand what makes humans tick, so he tries to understand every emotional overture he comes across. He doesn't succeed most of the time, but he's trying very hard. Gold star, Neuvillette.

  • Kind of lost - Most jokes fly over his head, and he has no shame in saying so. He is unfamiliar with human customs and will earnestly try his best to understand. If you squint you'll be able to almost see the ??? over his head sometimes.

  • Blunt - If he considers you familiar: if he has an opinion on something, you'll know, whether you like it or not.

  • Solitary/Lonely - He is a loner by choice, as he doesn't want personal relationships to cloud his judgement.

AU Name: N/A
AU Age: ~2000 (canon does not specify how old he is but he is at least 400 years old and likely much older than that)
AU Birthday: December 18

AU History: It starts like this: one day, he woke up, with his current face and body, in what he would later find out was Gaul, occupied by the Holy Roman Empire. This would be of no particular importance except that he had no memory of anything at all, and that he had a fey creature who called herself Melusine living in his shadow.

He built a life for himself like that, taking an interest in the complex tapestry of laws that made up the judiciary system of Rome. It wasn't long, though, before he realized, that while his hair was already eternally white, he did not bear any further signs of aging. Laws ought to be the same wherever he went, so he left for another land to avoid suspicion.

Centuries passed like this. He never remembered who he was, or what happened, or what purpose he really had in life. What little memories he had of Before were fragmented, and fragments of memories he'd built he had to feed to Melusine, for her to stay with him. Or for him to stay with her. He couldn't tell. He couldn't remember.

Continents passed like this, too. He'd become well-versed in several countries' worth of lawmaking, but never able to settle into a practice for long. His sense of self had become entwined with what he saw was his duty, and he clung to it. It didn't really matter how much he learned, because Melusine would eat it anyways; at least she was gracious enough to let him choose which memories she would devour.

In bursts, he remembers, centuries later: living with a mage(?) named Egeria, who told him who he truly was. He doesn't remember what she said, but he remembers what he was taught. Or what she had awakened. It didn't matter to him. She passed into the shadow like everyone else he'd come to know, in a war she'd told him he was not ready to fight in. It was not just, but Neuvillette was starting to realize, not much of the world was.

In between, he remembers: endless trials in courts of law. They all look the same after a while. It is with clarity he recollects setting aside his court robes and saving an orphanage from the clutches of human greed. Several dozen children who he'd personally reintegrated into society, who he'd revealed his longevity to: all of whom kept in touch with him, loved him like their father, until they all, too, went into the long night.

This memory he does not give to Melusine.

In the end, he remembers: befriending a man, and his younger sister, the three of them foreigners in his newest strange land. He'd once again taken up the mantle of a judge of law, but in a series of events beyond his control, the sister is framed for, and lost to, a crime she did not commit - a crime designed to tarnish his reputation, but the man does not allow it to happen. He takes the blame, and Neuvillette is forced to judge him as fairly as the public expects. He sentences his once-close friend, who had already lost everything, to exile, and breaks down behind closed doors. It was justice, but at a cost he did not know was worth paying.

This memory he does not give to Melusine either.

Four hundred (?) years later, he finds an echo of his old friend, in a woman named Furina, who bore the same title as Egeria did: Focalors, The Water-Walker. He follows, and stays with her across land and sea alike, as she tries to find a way to stop a prophesied flood from destroying her home and everything she held dear. He may be able to control the element they both have an affinity for with the help of his fey shadow, but he is not strong enough. Maybe he once was.

She sends him to Kaisou, a city of crossroads, to find what he can, even though they both know it is less for her benefit, and more for his. He remembers the promise of the flood, and the sin that it will wash away, and the fact that he can do nothing about it.

AU Personality Differences: None really, he's stayed the same. He still doesn't like forming lasting personal relationships, but in this AU it's because he is used to having to leave.

Element: Water
Purchased Powers: True Immortality (4), Low Water Manipulation (2)
Possession: He is possessed by a Melusine, who requires him to give up memories for her every so often.

Other Characters: Lapis De Fiore, Persephone, Anastasia Fabre

Character Name: Ajisai Nekomiya
Canon: Original
Canon History:
Years ago, during the early 1800s of Japan, something dark was sweeping across the country; crops failing, farm animals becoming ill, water tainted and soon people going missing. A rumour spread that an old, old demon from the depths of the sea was awakening, and that the seals had lost its power and could no longer keep it in place. The rumours reaching a young girl who lived within a rural village, who would later become the hero to seal the demon back into the sea.

Ajisai, however, isn't the young girl - rather, she's the girls faithful black cat. Throughout their adventures, the continued exposure to demonic energy and her owners own supernatural abilities changed her into a Kaibyō; enabling her to take up the snarky sidekick role. For months upon months they travelled together, picking up allies along the way; and bit by bit, they managed to push back the wave of corruption. It was going to be a happy ending, except the final piece needed to seal away the demon for good required a sacrifice - a pure source of life to strengthen the seal. The girl accepted this with no hesitation, always wanting to do her best to protect others - and Ajisai was furious. All of this work and pain, just to die? Where were the gods that bestowed her power? Shouldn't they do something to prevent the death of their hero? Despite her rage, the girl simply soothed her dear friend, and then she was gone.

Ajisai never really recovered from her death, the loss of the human that named her. As years passed, the girl and her companions fell into obscurity - in the end, only Ajisai remembered. She was aimless, a demon prowling forests picking fights in an attempt to find something worth meaning in this long life she never wanted. It was coincidence she came across the girls descendants, and some of that power seems to have been inherited by them. They could see this black cat (her disguise) as what she really was, but accepted her into their home all the same. Their home was actually a cafe, which was home to many other cats like her; supernatural and with nowhere to go.

The inspiration came to her then, and eventually the cat made her way to Tokyo. It took time and effort and scrapping up whatever money she could find, but she soon set up her own little cafe, open to cats, humans and yokai alike. A place of respite, and a place to belong - the cafe acting as the front of the actual business Ajisai established, safe havens for the lost and scared. She may not be the most personable and would rather not deal with difficult things, but she could extend forward the kindness granted to her by her precious human and her family.

Canon Personality:
🐱 Moody - Ajisai is, in every sense of the word, a cat and this extends to her moods. The slightest thing can send her into a huff, perceiving annoyances in places where people usually wouldn't find one. Her patience tends to be easily tested, and she's likely to make her disapproval known very quickly. It does also mean her sour moods fade quickly, but she's more often to be found with a scowl on her face than anything else.

🐱 Blunt - She has never been a need to mince her words or dance around topics, and she's not one to start now. Her opinions and thoughts on certain things are always made obvious, and if she thinks something is stupid, she'll just say so. If it's seen as rude, she doesn't particularly care either. Being vague about things has always been something that annoyed her, so she never bothers with it herself.

🐱 Loyal - Once she cares, she cares deeply - she watches over people she considers "hers", whether they be loved ones or those under the protection of the safe spaces she's set up. Betrayal isn't in her vocabulary, and she'll always do her best to assist someone she cares for; despite any initial irritation or huffing about it

🐱 Tsuntsun deredere - Beneath all the huff and hissing is someone who does actually care. The reasons she created her safe house system was to protect others lost like she once was, and her drive for operating the cafe front is to grant a place of comfort. It's why she gets so volatile when anyone, human or yokai, tries to disrupt that. Children are also a soft spot for her, and she's willing to be much more patient and gentle with them than anyone else. And when it comes to people who she does attach to, she's devoted and protective even if she might still give them grief.

🐱 Lonely - For all her acting as if she's above making connections, Ajisai is actually lonely. Everything she does, it puts her around others, and even with her prickly personality she finds it hard to not care. She lost the most important person to her in an unfair deal, and she still mourns her death years later, still clinging onto her memory even when everyone else may have forgotten.

🐱 Stubborn - Ajisai is someone who doesn't believe in giving up. If there's a will there's a way, and she'll keep pushing forward no matter the circumstances. It also means she can dig her heels in about the most inane things at times, because she has Opinions about it and will not be budged. But it also means she's unwilling to give up on others, always remaining steadfast to her peoples side no matter what - even if it may hurt her in the process.

🐱 Secretive - When it comes to anything relating to herself, Ajisai tends to keep things close to her chest. Opening up in general is a difficult thing for her to do, and more often than not she finds it easier to just dodge around questions or just tell people to mind their own business. Better to not let people know her circumstances and risk the opportunity to be vulnerable, even if sometimes she wants the exact opposite.

AU Name: n/a
AU Age: 71
AU Birthday: October 28th

AU History:
Ajisai was born into a very normal family in a very normal household in Japan. She was an only child and kept to herself often, though she seemed to have an odd affinity with the cats of the neighborhood - a day didn't go by where she wouldn't have a stray or two follow her home from school. And Ajisai neverminded, preferring their company over kids who were noisy and messy and kept touching her things. While her parents were worried, her grades were good and she was well-behaved, so they never thought further of it.

Then Ajisai jumped in front of traffic to rescue a kitten, and everything changed. The accident should've taken her life, but the kitten saved wasn't anything ordinary - in return for saving their life, they would let Ajisai live. So, Ajisai was possessed by one of the very cats she adored, now sharing her soul with a Bakenkeo. Of course, things changed after that; she become far more aware of the supernatural, despite her latent powers before, and also came the fact that her aging slowed. Greatly.

When it became noticeable, after she graduated high school, she just... left home. Unwilling to deal with the fallout of this. It was easy to fall into some unsavory crowds after that, drifting from place to place as she grappled with how she had changed. Then one day, a little old lady found this stray cat and brought her to her cafe; basically adopting the girl in that moment, despite Ajisai's fussing. The lady told her that the cafe was a little safe spot, for normal and not-so normal people alike; there were even rooms in the back, for any overnight guests. While she saw it as a waste of time, it was food and shelter, so Ajisai stayed until she decided to wander again. But she never did.

Years passed, the old lady died of natural causes, and Ajisai took over. And expanded, creating more of these safe havens dotted around the country. There were organizations that were dangerous for people like her, or people attuned to the supernatural, so these at least could grant some respite. They weren't fancy, large or anything luxurious but it could provide someone a sense of peace when they needed it most; and so she helped house numerous people over the following years.

Her venture to Kaisou is, basically, an investigation to see if anything overseas is possible. And considering how this place seems to be a hotspot of activity, the cat can't help to be a little bit curious about it too.

AU Personality Differences: Not many changes! She's still lonely, still moody and still a tsundere. She's just not as old now and less world-weary, so she's probably more of a brat than before.

Element: Light

Purchased Powers:
Immortality - High (3)
Animal Communication - Basic Conversation (2)
Luck - Low (1)

Possession: Ajisai is possessed by a Bakeneko, a mischievous being who enjoys seeing what its host does next and occasionally messing with her. So as part of her contract, her behavior becomes a lot more... cat-like on nights of the full moon. Meowing, hissing, jumping and sitting in boxes, the whole thing.

Other Characters: Edward Kenway

Character Name: Lucy Westenra
Canon: Dracula
Canon History: Her very own Wikipedia article!

Canon Personality:
VIVACIOUS. One of the first things we see about Lucy in the novel is just how lively she is, as a person. She teases her best and closest friend Mina Murray over letters and talks happily to her about the three (THREE) proposals that she got in one day, and her initial letters show a person who is full of irrepressible charm and emotion—she cries over having to reject two of the men, and her tone when she speaks to Mina comes off as playful and cheery. She's charming enough to get the attentions of everyone she speaks to, with strangers who've never met her being drawn to and charmed by her, and even when she rejects two of her suitors she's still very friendly toward them, considering them close friends.

KIND. Lucy is so very, very kind, to most people around her. She hates the idea of breaking the hearts of two of her suitors, and indeed wishes that she could be allowed to marry all three of them in order to avoid all that heartbreak, as while she loves one of them, she doesn't want to cause pain to the others. She chastises an old, raucous fellow named Mr. Swales for speaking ill and lightly of a dead man, and Mina notes that she is "so sweet and sensitive that she feels influences more acutely than other people do." Even when she herself is in pain, she tries to insist on putting others first before herself—she tries to get Mina to take her shoes back even though Lucy herself is in little more than a shift and Mina's slippers against a cold English night, and when she's ill, she forces herself to cheer up because she doesn't want to hurt her fiancé Arthur with the sight of her.

SELF-SACRIFICING. Lucy is a modest young woman, and hates putting her problems in other people's laps. Even when she's slowly dying because of a vampire bite, she still tries, to the best of her abilities, to be a good hostess to her ex-suitor Jack Seward's mentor, Dr. Van Helsing, and does not want to worry her mother too much, keeping up her cheery demeanor and only dropping it when she feels that she can speak honestly to someone. She's sweetly charming and properly polite to everyone, but she keeps her worries and her troubles close to her chest because she doesn't want her loved ones to feel pain that she might cause them. It's upsetting to her when she thinks that she's hurt someone's feelings, and she'll do what she can to avoid this.

PROPER. Compared to her friend Mina Murray, Lucy is a proper Victorian lady, with her chief concern being how she comes off to other people. Part of this is her general demureness, where she hides her real feelings and worries behind a mask of cheer when she feels she must, but another part of this is simply the times in which she came of age—in her day and age, women traditionally were expected to focus on homemaking and on securing their lives via marrying someone, and to be demure and pure, so she's watchful of her speech to others in a way she's not in her private diary entries, what few of them we get. One of the few times she drops this proper demeanor is when she talks to Jack Seward about her medical troubles—even then, Seward has to tell her that Arthur is very anxious about her health, and she assents to Seward telling Arthur all that's happening with her. She's also aware of how other people ought to act in accordance to propriety, and scolds Mr. Swales for his frank and rude way of telling her about the man whose gravestone she finds herself accidentally sitting on.

REPRESSED. I don't mean sexually repressed like every other goddamn Dracula adaptation seems to think, she's repressed in the sense that for all her life, she's had a pretty good idea of what the life she'll live will look like, and while she's accepted it for the most part, there are moments where she seems a little less than satisfied. The most obvious note for this is that she doesn't want to reject her other two suitors and wishes she could marry all three of them, but she also represses her worries and terrors for the sake of other people whenever she can. She has bad dreams and is deeply afraid for her life, cannot sleep and can barely breathe sometimes, but at least in the earlier days of her illness is not keen on letting on how bad a state she's in. It's only when she's unable to hide it that she does show it, and seems quite relieved to be able to tell her worries to someone she trusts.

AU Name: Lucy West
AU Age: 25 (canon age: 19)
AU Birthday: September 22 (canon says her birthday is sometime in September, but the exact date is not said.)

AU History:
  • Lucy West was born into a middle-class family who loved her very deeply and, by all accounts, had a fairly normal life. She went to community college and graduated with a degree in TV production, then went to work in Hollywood. She got to work on a movie about a vampire in the Victorian age stalking a ship and the crew desperately trying to figure out who was killing everyone onboard one by one.

  • And then she met an actual vampire, who saw her as easy prey and stalked her for weeks to try and get her alone. He got more than he bargained for, however, when she managed to fight him off and stabbed him in the neck with her keys before running away. It was in her apartment, lost and confused and terrified beyond belief, that the turn started, as did the return of Lucy Westenra's memories. The most terrifying memory was her past self's slow death at the hands of Dracula, and Lucy knew, with a bone-deep terror, that she could not, would not die that way. She didn't want to hurt anyone. She wanted so badly to live.

  • Completely terrified of becoming a vampire like her past self did, and on the verge of dying alone, Lucy made a desperate bargain with something she still doesn't understand. (It's a demon.) It revived her, but now she was cursed with a different thing altogether: a dark thing that would drive her to leave a job she loved, the family she adored, and a town she was happy with in due time, and exact a price for her continued survival: a drop of blood onto a ritual dagger, or else. So far Lucy's been able to stave it off by using her own blood, but she can tell the demon is beginning to want more than she can give.

  • She comes to Kaisou when she learns of how spiritually sensitive it is, and moves there in order to look into ways to get out of her possession and stay alive. The demon has told her that if she casts it out, the turn will complete and she'll become a vampire, and begin to feed off innocents like poor dead Lucy Westenra before her. She's not sure yet if the demon's telling the truth, but she's not taking any chances.

  • AU Personality Differences:

ASSERTIVE. In sharp contrast to her Victorian-era self, Lucy's a far more assertive and outgoing person, coming off as a charming go-getter type who livens up any party she's at. As she's now come of age in a time when women enjoyed significantly more freedom and rights, she's more likely to just...chat up strangers and speak her opinions. She does still repress her feelings to some degree, preferring to keep up a cheery demeanor and not dump her problems on somebody else.

POSITIVE THINKER. In place of Lucy's Victorian-era propriety, modern-day Lucy West is big on positive thinking to the point where it's getting a little bit toxic for her. She hates making other people sad and bringing the mood down, and will do whatever she can to ensure that everyone around her is happy and well. If that means pushing her own problems to the side, so be it, she's good at doing that, she can handle herself and her own shit.

KNOWLEDGEABLE. Unlike her past self, she knows enough vampire lore (thank you pop culture), and supernatural lore in general since coming to Kaisou, to at least be able to protect herself from any malignant influences. Well, more malignant influences than she's already got, at any rate. Her current possession has driven her to take a more active role in trying to expel the demon and keep herself fully alive—with knowledge comes the terror of becoming a vampire like the Bloofer Lady, the undead monster her past self turned into.

    Element: Fire!
    Purchased Powers:
Conjure Fire - Medium, 2 pts.
    Anger Fire - 2 pts.
Heat Resistance - Low, 1 pt.
    Healing - Low, 1 pt.

Possession: Lucy is currently possessed by a demon of some kind that gave her fire powers and has told her that it's the only thing keeping her from dying and turning into a vampire. She isn't sure how true that is. Her contract price is to draw blood out via a specially-marked ritual dagger that she must keep on her person at all times. So far she's managed to keep the demon sated by drawing her own blood, but it's lately been making noises about wanting more than she can offer, something she can't allow.

    Character Name: Persephone
    Canon: Stray Gods
    Canon Point: Post game-epilogue.
Age: Thousands upon thousands of years old, she doesn't even know herself.
Birthday: We're gonna go with January 1st because she existed before regular calendars did, oops.
History: Don't talk to me, I'm angy. TW for emotional and physical domestic abuse, violence, murder and World War II. She is from a choice-based game so here is her specific world state too.

    Personality:

Persephone is a person who chooses to no longer be a victim after many millenia of being defined as one. Though she was originally charmed by Hades advances towards her, she soon saw him for what he was and her disgust at her foolish youth is palpable. But not as much as it is for the man who kidnapped and kept her prisoner. There is absolutely no love lost between her and her dead husband. She makes it clear she has no regret in killing him to free herself, to give herself any sort of life beyond being Hades' property. It was mentioned that Idols choose their successors based on the familiar- given Persephone's last successor was also a woman under the thumb of an abusive man (who she swiftly killed) it would not be a stretch to say her existence is filled with continuing to fight against being a victim. In every life she chooses, she chooses to fight back.

She has no small amount of bitterness towards her family. First for their inability to help her in her captivity, and again when they punished her for solving the problem herself by ripping away the throne she felt was rightfully hers. She feels they will only ever betray her- sees them as cowards she cannot turn her back on lest they plunge a knife into it. It's made her resistant to letting them (or anyone) close to her again, holding the belief that the only person she could ever rely on was herself. Even if her family have attempted to make amends, she has shut them down. She holds onto her grudges for millennia (Hermes even alludes to her "having a book" of grievances against people) and the other Idols have eventually learned to keep their distance- which is just how she likes it. Apollo especially gets the brunt of this- she was thrown into an apoplectic rage anytime he dared to so much as breathe in her general direction. He was the one who failed her when she needed him most, after all, and she planned never to let him forget that.

Watching her mother get killed in the War devastated her. Demeter was one of the few Idols she still loved, one of the few she didn't actively loathe. Seeing her mother get gunned down was what killed what was left of "that long-haired goddess who loved her garden". It was the final nail in the coffin, hardening her heart even more than it already was. She can be manipulative, too. She lies to Grace in order to get her to the Underworld, promising she could find the recently deceased Freddie and also speak to the Fates to find out who sent the Furies to kill Calliope. Ultimately, all Persephone wanted was a means to get to her throne, using Grace, Apollo and their connections to Hermes to do it. She is deeply sorry for the deception, admitting even if she could not change the rules of death, she had hoped that Grace might find Freddie's spirit to say goodbye.

She's also not immune to uncertainty and doubt in herself. Though this Persephone is unromanced- should you choose to romance Grace, Persephone admits she doesn't know if she's falling for Grace for herself or because she has a piece of Calliope within her. That frightens her, the idea that she might be stringing someone along, using them the way she once was herself.

Despite all of this, and despite how hard she exudes an aura of spitting venomous anger, she's not heartless. She loved Calliope with everything she had, and the loss of her former lover weighs heavily upon her, even with the knowledge that one day the next chosen muse will regain her memories and she'll return. Persephone can warm up to Grace- especially if the other shows understanding, patience (and just a tiny bit of spunk) towards her. She shows a great amount of concern when she sends Grace off after clues- continually asking her to be careful. After the events of the game, she even makes strides towards forgiving her family. She might not forget what they did, but she does, at least, now tolerate them existing in the same room with her. She'll even jab light jokes at Apollo. Regaining her throne, and being a fundamental part of the shake-up she felt the Idols desperately needed breathed new life into her. Nothing would heal the deep wounds of her past, but she was, at least, finding better ways to cope with them.

Time of Arrival to Kaisou: October!
In The Underworld! A green, spooky place surrounded by souls. She keeps trying to move towards her throne, but every step toward it that she takes, the further it seems to move from her.
    Items:
    - The clothes on her back!
    - The key to the Underworld which does not work here, sucks to be her.
Retained Abilities: Plant growth- she can "grow a field of corn like no one's business". I'll limit this to roughly the equivalent of the 3-point plant growth power in the Earth element.

    Labrys' wiki page
Hinokagutsuchi (aka the Malevolent Entity)'s wiki page

    Canon Personality:
♉︎ Violent) To say that Shadow Labrys likes hitting things is an understatement. She relishes in her power and her ability to destroy things. She feels utter glee and excitement at the prospect of being able to break something (or someone) and throws 100% of herself into a fight.

♉︎ Blunt) She lacks almost any sort of filter. If something is pissing her off, she'll say what it is. However, this is almost exclusively related to the raging bull of destruction persona she shows off to others. Which ties into another trait of hers...

♉︎ Terrible with Positive Emotions) Shadow Labrys might have grown as a person and developed a fully-fledged ego, but she's very much the embodiment of "old habits die hard." She was born from Labrys' trauma and anger, manipulated by the Malevolent Entity, and (initially) rejected by her original self. Violence, hatred, anger, and a lust for power and destruction are embedded deep in her soul. It's what she knows and what she's comfortable with. However, she's more than that now and that bugs her. She knows Labrys cares about her friends (and she herself possibly cares about them too, to some extension. Or, at the very least, respects them for kicking her ass) and she cares about Labrys, though she wouldn't admit it. And so when they try to stop her from killing Sho, she puts her weapon down (after destroying the remote that shut Labrys down) and just relinquishes control of their body back over to Labrys.

♉︎ Loves Freedom and Hates Authority) Freedom is a big part of both Labrys and Shadow Labrys. Labrys wanted it and Shadow Labrys objectively has it. She is the master of the realm in Persona 4 Arena that the story takes place in (save for the Malevolent Entity) and she gleefully does whatever the hell she wants right up until Labrys is finally able to accept her. Asterius' design, which is a facet of her, has chains that don't actually seem to be attached to much of anything and upon being released in Ultimax, she relished her newfound freedom and expressed a very aggressive dislike of Sho trying to tell her what to do. She'd much rather just kill him and be done with it than follow her orders even if it'd lead to more destruction.

    AU Name: Cassandra Yamada
    AU Age: 21
    AU Birthday: 4/20
AU History: Cassandra was born to a Japanese father and an Greek-American mother. Her mom was a big shot corporate worker in Brooklyn. Her father was a humble farmer in the country tilling the land that had been in his family for generations. The two met while Cassandra's mom was on a vacation to Japan and their relationship blossomed from there. They had two kids; Cassandra and her sister.

Both were no stranger to hard work, but Cassandra was always the brawn to her sister's brain. She enjoyed doing manual labor around the farm and participating in sports (especially baseball). But she always had a temper that tended to get her into trouble, especially when she often struggled to fit in due to her abrasive nature and mixed heritage. Going to America on trips to see her extended family wasn't much different. No matter where she went, she never seemed to fit in anywhere. The only place she ever felt that she could be herself was on her family's farm.

Eventually, though, things took a sharp turn. Early on in middle school she got into her first fight, though it would be far from her last. Due to her love of sports and her time spent working on the farm, Cassandra had become quite strong. Strong enough to make her realize she could take matters into her own hands. She believed strength gave her freedom and she would use that freedom to finally make a place where she could fit in. It wasn't long before she was labelled a delinquent, but it was a title she fully embraced.

By the time she had reached high school, she had gotten quite the reputation for herself. Many people hated her guts but there were also those who looked up to her. An adrenaline junkie, Cassandra was only interested in fighting people who were worth her time (i.e. people who could put up a fight), which meant a lot of bullies. So it's no surprise that plenty of the bullied ended up liking her quite a bit. Suffice to say she was thoroughly confused and weirded out by the positive attention, but over time she grew accustomed to it. Eventually she had her own group of friends who were ride or die, which ended up becoming quite literal once she got her motorcycle license. She ended up starting her own biker gang, which quickly grew in size as it offered a home to many people who felt as though they didn't fit in. And this was also around the same time as Cassandra finding out about her powers.

Something was causing various livestock to go missing around the farm and Cassandra decided to look into it. Turns out that her family farm is pretty close to a spirit vein, which has been drawing unwanted spirit attention. Fast forward to now and not much has changed. She managed to graduate high school despite delinquency and now works odd jobs and around the farm to make money, as well as chasing out opposing biker gangs and fighting monsters. Heard through the grapevine that weird stuff was happening in Kaisou and decided to head over there and check it out for herself.

AU Personality Differences: The main difference between Cassandra and Shadow Labry is that Cassandra isn't working backwards on the whole "being a person" thing. Shadow Labrys was a fragmented being born of her original's self's negative emotions before coming into her own. Meanwhile Cassandra is just like. A person. She has a lot of the abrasiveness that Shadow Labrys possessed but without the inhuman mindset to temper it into a destructive force of blind rage. She has a sense of right and wrong, though her morality is a bit wonky. She generally doesn't mess with innocent people because they aren't worth her time (read: good in a fight) but if it's her or them she won't be too broken up about hurting them. A lot of her worse traits are reigned in by simply not wanting to deal with consequences. She still loves her family (though she has a tough time admitting it) and generally likes her freedom. Though monsters and the like that invade her home get the full brunt of her strength. Nobody can see them, after all.

    Character Name: Lady Pansy Pomeranian
    Canon: OU
Canon Point: Roughly where the campaign she's NPCing in is right now
    Age: 76
    Birthday: March 3rd
    History:
Pansy is from the world of Pugmire, which is more or less a simplified DnD with dogs and cats. Long ago, cats and dogs and such were as we know them now, but then the Age of Man ended for forgotten reasons- did the all die, did they go to space??? Who knows. In the meantime, many animals evolved to be upright, intelligent, and Large. seriously they are the size of humans now. The different races have different ideas about the days of old, with dogs worshipping Men as gods, more or less, and have 'The Church of Man' and its tenants as a pillar of their civilizations.

Pansy was born into an upper class family of Pugmire, and though she was taught all the refined manners a proper lady should, she was also a fight. She was trained as a Guardian (the tank class), her weapon of choice being a battleaxe, and proved herself indomitable on the battlefield, fighting in the War of Cats and Dogs. During a take of leave from injury, she met her husband Percival, a historian who was taking notes from soliders and their time on the front and who loved digging into the mysteries Man left behind.

When the war was over, Pansy turned to doing all she could with her noble position to strength ties with the Cats and their newfound peace. She started a joint operation between Pugmire and the Monarchies of Mau, where adventuring cats and dogs would work together on ventures. Though she's now older and far past her prime, she's still fit enough to fight in a pinch, though she's taken up knitting to pass the time as well.

Personality: Pansy is softspoken and kind, and tends to come off as very sweet, but that doesn't mean she isn't a powerhouse in either her strength or personality. She knows what she wants and she doesn't take no for an answer, whether that's making you a hat or steering you towards adventuring in the 'right' path. She's well meaning, certainly, but there are definite instances where she thinks she knows best, and infuriatingly, she's often right. She's not terribly excitable and tends to keep a cool head regardless of how perilous her situation is, or how outlandish it might seem.

While she was a good fighter and took pride in defending her kingdom, there is a strong part of her that wishes everyone would Just Get Along Already, Damnit, which is part of what motivates her venture into uniting cats and dogs. There is a type of demon called the Unseen that plagues their lands, and is possibly responsible for the vanishing of Men, and she believes that that should be everyone's priority, and petty squabbling only gets in the way, though she knows said squabbling has to be addressed first.

Though she knows the Church's tenants and follows them, she would not consider herself very religious; she knows little enough about history except through her husband, and tends to believe that Men likely thought of dogs as friends and companions more than servants, and while she tries to do right by their memory, she whole-heartedly believes that doing their best to help their fellow dogs/cats is the way to do it.

Time of Arrival to Kaisou: Probably like riiiight at the beginning of the November plot. She'll be fine.
Items: Her little backpack, which contains her knitting and her battleaxe.
Retained Abilities: Fighting style: Great Weapon (basically can reroll 1s or 2s when attacking), and Puppy Dog Eyes (bonus to charisma checks)

Character Name: Ardyn Lucis Caelum/'Ardyn Izunia'
    Canon: Final Fantasy 15
Canon History: wiki link, there's literally no way to do this that isn't a novel

Canon Personality: The initial and vital distinction to make before describing Ardyn in any detail is that he is a person whose development can be split into three sections: his past as a healer, his ingame presence as a villain, and the midpoint in between displayed in his own DLC episode.

Healer: In his past as a relatively normal human, Ardyn was intensely selfless to the point of self-destruction. Tasked by the gods with the healing of the Starscourge through divine magic, he accepted his responsibility without question and seemed to take a small amount of pride in carrying out the will of the gods. Taking his role incredibly seriously, he rarely smiled or did much else but act stoic and professional in front of the people he worked to help. Implied but only seen in the novel is a falling-out with his own younger brother over a difference of opinion in how to save the world from the plague, demonstrating that Ardyn took the matter seriously enough to leave both home and his only apparent family entirely to continue his work. More to the point on the 'self-destructive' front; his task to heal the Starscourge was actively causing him agonizing pain and deteriorating his body, but he clearly prioritized the people in need of salvation over his own life with no hesitation or question.

...What I'm saying is he's an incredibly thinly veiled messianic archetype and the only way the comparison would be less subtle would be if his birthday were on Christmas. It's Walpurgisnacht, which isn't much better.

Adagium: In being rejected by the gods, executed by his brother, and sealed away for two millennia, to say Ardyn's mental state took a hit would be an understatement. In his confinement he retreated into his own head, living in his own hallucinations of the past as resentment and hate fueled by the Starscourge built within him. Despite this, when released by Verstael his prevailing emotion seems to be apathy. He's largely indifferent to Verstael, the world, and everyone in it--briefly thinking that just being left alone in Angelgard would have been preferable. While the resentment fostered in his imprisonment is still present, it is also directionless; with Somnus dead, Ardyn finds little point in revenge. He spends several months in Niflheim sleeping; ostensibly as recovery, but it's equally likely he simply felt he had nothing better to do. While he is a barely-human passing avatar of malice and hatred, enough of his original human self remains that though he resents his own mistakes in working so hard to accomplish basically nothing, he won't simply destroy everything indiscriminately in vengeance. At this stage he's very tired and very mentally unwell--he's prone to nightmares and, when under significant stress, outright dissociation and waking hallucinations (both auditory and visual) centering around both Somnus and Aera alike. Ultimately, at that point he wasn't even an open threat at all--while he did in fact kill several of the Crownsguard on the island, it was done in self-defense and also one such hallucination implied a genuine sense of guilt; a spectral version of Somnus taunting Ardyn over having killed an innocent man and Ardyn claiming 'my calling is to save lives, not take them'.

Ardyn Izunia: The tipping point of finally shattering a fractured grasp on sanity lies with Verstael convincing Ardyn to daemonify Ifrit; pushed into seeking power he swears vengeance on the line of Lucis and in sublimating a god Ardyn also sees fragments of memories implying it was he and not Somnus that was chosen. That, specifically, is the point that causes him to utterly snap and decide to take his vengeance on gods, kings, and everything else on the planet. In the years that followed he killed people indiscriminately in order to steal their memories and learn more about the world, as well as contribute to creating Niflheim's magitek and highly unethical cloned daemon army. In his DLC episode preceding the game itself, he proves to be a force even Niflheim can't hope to actually control; he goes rogue on an already violent invasion mission, seeking to kill the then-reigning king and only being stopped by the intervention of both his spectral younger brother as well as Bahamut himself, learning of the prophecy that names Ardyn as nothing but an agent of darkness whose purpose is to suffer as an immortal plague until the true Chosen King can arise and kill him. Depending on player choice, Ardyn either completely gives up and accepts this as an inevitability, or rages against the draconic deity and is summarily harshly punished for the hint of rebellion. (It isn't clearly stated ingame which option is game canon, but the second is explicitly canon to the light novel/alternate timeline.)

Which leads into his role in the game itself: a manipulative chessmaster who orchestrates the fall of both Lucis and Niflheim, kills several named characters either directly or by proxy, and spreads the Starscourge to the point of creating a ten-year-long night over the planet only ended with Noctis defeating Ardyn and sacrificing himself to bring back the light. He is constantly bitter to the point of vicious mockery to everyone around him, ally and enemy alike. His bitterness at having been cast out is projected clearly on those who had nothing to do with it--specifically Noctis more than anyone, being Somnus' identical-looking descendant. Ultimately, it may all just be a decades long lashing out in anger and vengeance, and once the prophesized end does come about Ardyn seems content with the idea. After a fierce final battle in the destroyed streets of the crown city he accepts his defeat quietly, and is eradicated from all existence with little more than a bow to the true Chosen King who saved the world as neither brother could.

AU Name: Same as canon; he's probably gone by a lot of names, but settled on 'Ardyn Izunia' while with the Black Order.
    AU Age: 2000+ (physically 33)
    AU Birthday: April 30th
    Faction: Black Order

    AU History:
-Firstborn son of a politician in the Roman empire circa the first century, Ardyn Lucis Caelum was known as a wise and charitable man. Charming, very focused upon matters of justice and fairness, and with a mind to enter into politics himself for the betterment of the people around them, he was never one to put himself or his ambition first. Unlike his younger brother, who sought wealth and power for their own sake. As with quite a lot of politicians of the time, said father was of course assassinated by his second son over a matter of inheritance, with Ardyn swiftly following when he discovered his brother standing over their father holding a knife.
-Utterly shattered by a betrayal he had never suspected or anticipated, on the brink of death the prevailing emotion he felt turned from sorrow to rage; demanding to understand why his own blood hated him so, cursing him in turn for so ruthlessly destroying all in his path, and feeling a small spark of vengeance spring to life at the very end of Ardyn's own life. At which point a devil came to him from the Spirit Realm and offered a chance to live again; to right the wrongs of the world by whatever means necessary. Accepting the contract, Ardyn awoke in exhaustion to a home reduced to bloodied rubble in the wake of his own demon mode rampaging briefly.
-[cw: suicide] Presumed dead along with the rest of his family, Ardyn quickly left the city and indeed the country in short order, hiding among shadows and constantly shapechanging with the powers he found his nameless devil had granted him. Finding himself deeply conflicted between his innate compassion and the contracted devil screaming revenge, not long afterwards the memories began to surface in tiny shreds; memories of a creature slaying humans indiscriminately, sublimating them body and soul. Horrified by the glimpses of a life that was and wasn't his own, Ardyn sought to put an end to himself...only to find he couldn't. In his impulsive and angry decision to accept a chance to live again, he had been made an immortal creature of shadow exactly like the monster now in his memories.
-With no choice but to accept that fate, he took to wandering; rarely staying in any one settlement or even country for too long, the world gradually changed around him...and yet it didn't. No matter where he went, the pervasive nature of humanity followed. Injustices, cruelties, conflicts, and betrayals were all intrinsic to human nature, and the more he witnessed the more he felt the need to make sure justice was done. Oftentimes where he went, particularly cruel or disliked individuals simply 'disappeared' only to turn up as a corpse covered in bloody claw marks or stab wounds. Except when it wasn't the particularly cruel or disliked and instead just the mildly assholish. Or someone who just looked at him wrong when the bloodier memories began to creep back up again.
-Needless to say, as the ages passed and Ardyn adapted time and again to different places and eras the human that he used to be faded, and he largely forgot why he even cared in the first place. There certainly didn't seem to be much reason to, when humankind was seen to have nothing worth caring about in the first place and his memories painted him as some kind of murderous apocalyptic monster anyway. What good was a world that only ever let one down?
-At some point (likely a number of decades ago) he encountered the Black Order somewhere in Europe, and while letting himself be sealed probably would have been sensible to him in the past he instead signed on readily and with very little hesitation. In his twisted logic, maybe guarding the Spirit Realm however necessary felt like something justified, or maybe it was just that he wanted an excuse to continue on as he already had been doing. Maybe even a warped combination of both.
-Whatever the reason, Ardyn Izunia eventually became the Guardian no one actually wanted to see dispatched--the kind that handled problems needing handling. His abilities to shapeshift and travel between shadows made him an ideal assassin, and his complete lack of hesitation in that regard made him terrifyingly efficient. Which isn't to say that every assignment he's sent on ends in bloodshed, but he's definitely the solver of (and sometimes causer of) the Order's more persistent headaches. Hence why he's getting assigned to this complete mess. For the sake of...well, November, I'd like to assume he's been here since late October shapeshifted and under the radar, if that's possible?

AU Personality Differences: The major difference is that canon Ardyn's incredible anger management issues are a perfect storm of eternity in solitary confinement/a rebellious god's memories in his head/knowing he's fated to be a literal dictionary-definition scapegoat. Because of that, he's far more indiscriminate and wide-ranging in the damage he cheerfully causes, knowing absolutely nothing he does matters on a cosmic scale (because that's what prophecy does!) so he can in fact destroy and kill whatever he likes as long as it isn't Noctis. AU!Ardyn, however, is moderately narrower in his approach and wider in his experiences: he believes having traveled the world gives him perspective, and in the words of a different antagonist: 'there are no innocents'. Would he kill indiscriminately, probably not. Does he believe that the people the Order tasks its Guardians with handling probably did something to deserve it in a karmic sense? Absolutely. Not only does he lack any ability to conceptualize most people as innately good, he believes for a fact that he certainly isn't--so far his past life memories are only of himself as a full-on murderous scourge on the planet, which colors the issue considerably.

    Canon History: Bam.

    Canon Personality:
ENGIMATIC & SECRETIVE; As the Guuji of the Grand Narukami Shrine, Yae Miko has a particular air about her. A mysteriousness that many struggle to understand let alone pierce. It is by design, of course, being one of the few remaining Kitsune in Inazuma, and being someone who enjoys watching others squirm. There are many things that Yae Miko knows that others do not, many things that she holds to her chest until the right moment or until the day she finally joins all those who have passed on before her. That aside Yae Miko enjoys putting on that air of mysteriousness, as it tends to attract the most interesting people.

BLUNT & CYNICAL; To outsiders and even her close friends, Yae Miko is incredibly blunt. She does not mince words, nor does she go looking for the kinder way to say things, she is simply blunt even if her words come off as cruel. She is like this even with her dear friend and master, Ei; the Electro Archon and leader of all Inazuma. She also has a rather cynical side to her, something that she doesn't bother softening for the sake of others.

MISCHEIVOUS & CUNNING & MANIPULATIVE; As a Kistune, Miko is incredibly mischievous in practically everything she does. Including her duties as Guuji and owner of the Yae Publishing House. She couples her mischievous streak with an incredible ability to manipulate and read other people. She has spent many long years around humans and has come to know exactly what strings to pluck to get what she wants. However, she is not cruel, only ever playing tricks and pranks that end up incredibly elaborate and long-winded affairs towards rather simple ends. Admittedly she does this out of sheer enjoyment and the fact she holds a fondness for making others squirm.

CARING; Despite all this Miko is far more caring than she likes to lead on. She aided the Traveller in breaking the Raiden Shogun from her eternal solitude more out of concern for her dear friend than the benefit of the country as a whole. She holds an immense amount of fondness for the Traveller despite tricking them into little things here and there. There is a loneliness in Miko that slips out a little during the Hyakkiyakou, where she helped the thousands of youkai souls pass on safely. It isn't often that she allows this side of herself to be seen, but it is still there deep under the surface.

AU Name: Hinoki Miko, commonly still known as Yae Miko.
AU Age: 1600+ (born early 5th century)
    AU Birthday: June 27th

    AU History:
    • Once upon a time (specifically 5th Japan) there was a young girl, a shrine maiden, content in her life and her duties around the shrine. However such joyous days are never destined to last forever and war swept over the girl's home, and her family, and left her wounded in the crumbling ruins of the place she once lived. It was this tragedy that awoke the girl to her true nature as a kitsune and Yae Miko opened her eyes once again.

    • For many long years Miko wandered the countryside, looking for a new home, all the while doing as kitsune are known to do; aiding those who were kind, and playing nasty tricks on those who were not. She found herself enamored by humans and loved listening to the stories they would tell of monsters, of battles, of loves won and lost. She began to collect them, writing them down and holding them close even as the people who told them withered and died.

    • That was her life until thirty years ago when Yae found herself the unfortunate victim of a series of poor decisions (walking a forest at night, one known to be perused by hunters) that left her injured. Tired and bleeding out Yae searched for aid, stumbling into the first yard she found. Uncertain whether or not those inside would even consider aiding her, Yae chose to summon up an illusion of an injured fox to draw attention to herself. It was a lovely man who came to her rescue, believing there to be a fox outside who needed aid. To his surprise, she was not a fox at all but a woman, regardless he dressed her wound and provided her food. As thanks for her aid, Yae decided to stay with this man and his family. After all, they were kind, and interesting, and made the most wonderful foods including her favorite dish Fukuuchi Udon.

    • Thus did Hinoki Miko ingrain herself into the family as a sister they never truly asked for but adore all the same. She aided them over the years with the supernatural creatures that would find their way onto the estate, even ensuring that those unwelcomed within their borders were well enough away. All the while Miko collected more stories and began to properly put to paper those she had been carrying for all these years. She wanted to share them with the world, wanted to delight and shock readers as she had been when they were first told to her.

    • After years of hard work and some clever tricks, the Yae Publishing House was established in Japan forcing Miko to be away from the estate for long stretches of time as she put the final pieces in place. It is for this very reason that she was far from the estate the terrible night that a vampire wormed its way through the protective barrier. Perhaps if she had been things would have been different, the girls would not have suffered as they did nor would have Ayato, but she had been away and only found out about the attack much later.

    • For the last seven years Miko has danced between managing Yae Publishing House (something she quickly hired someone else to do as it grew in popularity, butting in every so often to put in her two cents) and aiding the Hinoki family in rebuilding after the death of the children's father and the sudden disappearance of the oldest son. The reason she will be coming to Kaisou is twofold, the public excuse will be establishing a branch of the Yae Publishing House here in Kaisou, but the truth of the matter will be that she is in search of Ayato after the estate received a letter she discovered originated from the city.

AU Personality Differences: There isn't much difference between Miko's canon personality and this one, although she is a little openly kinder and patient with others.

    Canon Point: Post mainline story
    Age: 2542
Birthday: October 4th is his canon birthday.
    History: Valvatorez's wiki page.
    Personality:

    - Proud & Noble) A remnant of his tyrant days, Valvatorez takes pride in everything he does despite having been reduced to the lowliest position in the Netherworlds: Prinny Instructor. He talks constantly about the things that interest him (usually sardines) and while he doesn't take down the corrupternment to rule it, he does see it as having lost its way (along with most of the Netherworld) and thus in need of serious re-education. He speaks with a certain air to him and has a strict code of honor that he refuses to break.

    - Perfectionist) Valvatorez pours over a hundred and ten percent of himself into everything he does and he expects others to do the same and have a similar sense of pride for their work. Prinnies, for example, must abide by all the rules and regulations during their service and that includes the most basic rule of all: Prinny Rule Number One (You shall always include the word "dood" in every line you say.) Any prinny caught breaking this rule in Valvatorez's presence will be subject to an immediate reduction back to level one and a complete reeducation and retraining from the bottom up. And that isn't even taking into account the time he broke into the Information Bureau because he noticed one of their articles had a typo in it.

    - Loyal & Trustworthy) Valvatorez will never, ever, under ANY circumstances break a promise. He is also fiercely loyal to those he considers comrades and will do his best to ensure their goals are met and they can become the best versions of themselves.

    - Gullible and Naive) So Val can be...a bit of an idiot, honestly. He tends to be very trusting and generally believes what people tell him unless it's something he already knows is false. And even then, it's hit or miss. Like when Fuka believed everything happening was all a dream, Val actually bought into that for a moment.

    - Emotionally Intelligent for Everyone but Himself) When it comes to his comrades, prinnies, and pretty much everyone else? Valvatorez can whip up a shounen speech that can kick anyone's ass into high gear. However, he tends to keep his feelings about certain things to himself. Anything that's potentially uncomfortable or he's unsure how to process usually gets ignored or swept under the rug. For example, when Fenrich calls him out for being much weaker than his tyrant days due to a promise he made 400 years ago, Valvatorez just says "let's not talk about that" and quickly changes the subject. Even after all these years, Valvatorez clearly struggles to make himself truly vulnerable on an emotional level.

Time of Arrival to Kaisou: Early November and I'm good with whatever you guys come up with for the labyrinth, tbh.
Items: Basically just whatever he's wearing and a rapier.
Retained Abilities: Skin (2 points; enhanced durability) and Improved Physical Abilities (2 points; strength). Basically demons in Disgaea are incredibly strong and durable so I found these fitting. These changes still leave him with a long ways to go from his full (albeit depowered) strength, however.

    Birthday: November 23
    History: Here.

    Personality:

Learn to Survive - No Matter The Conditions.
Wriothesley has spent over half his life in a place known as the Fortress of Meriopede--an underground facility that functioned as a prison, it is a place that raised him to the person he is today. When he was young, it was a harsh and demanding environment, which made him need to learn what it meant to only have oneself to rely on. He quickly caught on how to keep himself safe, to protect what little he had on him in such a harsh environment, and even how to excel in a place that was only ever against him. Everyone started as equals in the fortress, money and status that one held aboveground becomes nothing once your life begins there, and Wriothesley came to understand its rules quickly and effectively.

Commanding Presence - The Duke of Meriopede.
The years have since doubled or more since Wriothesley arrived in the fortress--and his time had not gone to waste. In the days and years he spent in the Fortress, Wriothesley trained himself to be an adept fighter--adopting the style of a boxer to make money in order to make his days in prison easier. He quickly became a terrifyingly good fighter--to a point where he soon accumulated more wealth than anyone else in the fortress. Upon being cheated out of his fairly earned gains, a challenge to the administrator for to overthrow his unfair garnishing of Wriothesley's earnt wage was sent out; resulting in the administrator fleeing the fortress instead of facing him in combat. Since then, the people of Meriopede have held a sort of reverence for his strength, many often becoming nervous in Wriothesley's presence due to the sheer amount of strength he coule back up behind a somewhat aloof demeanor. As the Duke of Meriopede, he now holds a position sort of like a king of the underground, where mention of his name can bring nervousness to those who may be in earshot of it.

Aloof and Playful -- Fear is no Factor
Which brings around the matter of the way the Duke actually carries himself. While many are nervous or afraid of the man, in truth, upon meeting him, he holds himself in a somewhat aloof manner. Quiet but commonly turning to humor to make people feel a sense of ease around him; Wriothesley is the sort of person who would prefer to make a joke to break tension than to make others uncomfortable by being overly serious.
This doesn't mean he doesn't know how to be serious--quite the opposite, when a situation demands a more serious take, he easily turns on a dime; his determination and presence becoming nearly cold and solid as ice in order to Get Things Done.
The one thing he refuses to turn to in order to maintain order in his home turf, however, is fear. He has been seen many times to prefer to turn to compassion and understanding--having changed many rules in the fortress since becoming its administrator to make the lives of others easier, in fact--and loathes anyone who tries to use fear and manipulation in order to bend others to their will. Due to a childhood trauma relating to people using fear as a meams to control others, he won't stand for it even now as an adult, and holds nothing back against those who would use such tactics under his watch.

Lead by Example -- Anyone can be Redeemed
The first step on the path to redeeming oneself is learning to reconcile with oneself. Wriothesley belives that those who understand themselves and their needs are the ones who will learn how to survive. "Needs are like Beasts," and if one cannot learn to face themselves and what path they need to take in life, they'll never truly be free to become their best self. Once an understanding of self can be achieved, one can move forward in life and become someone worthy of respect. Believing in this, Wriothesley leads by example--holding himself responsible for his own actions both from his childhood and in his day-to-day. He believes that everyone--those who live in his fortress and those outside it--should be free to live however they please. Just as people are allowed to give into the darkness of their heart, they should be allowed to redeem themselves from any mistakes they may have made in the past, as well.
While he did commit a heinous crime himself in order to get exiled in the past, he believes that people can change if they're given the freedom and oppertunity to reflect and rise up from it. He fully believes and holds close to his heart that genuine expression of faith in others means more to him than any sort of forced obligation to obey those who hold positions of power over others using fear or manipulation.

Light in Others, Low Opinion on Self
Wriothesley is the sort of person who will quite playfully and easily comment that he isn't really that impressive a person. He believes strongly that he isn't really talented, doesn't have many skills worth talking about, and that in many situations, he feels helpless to actually aid people. He is in fact very good at seeing the stengths and talents in other people; as he has sharp eyes that don't miss much and a mind that weaves things together in a way that he'll never forget it. Despite his claims of having no shine--he is actually extremely adept in understanding subtleties. Reading between the lines, knowing more about any situation than he's letting on--it's said that while the Duke of Meriopede doesn't often leave the fortress, he knows very well all the inner workings of his home. He has his ways of gleaning information without seeming like he's paying attention, and he's very keen of eye and ear; not much can get past him so long as he's paying even a modicum of attention. He will often let people continue what they're doing so long as he doesn't feel any real need to intervene, and he'll even let people do dishonest or sneaky things under his watch if it means they're doing something that will benefit or help him down the line. He doesn't enjoy interfering with others' lives, and loathes the spotlight so much that he didn't even attend his own Coronation when he recieved the title of Duke from the Iudex of Fontaine.
He is also quite talented in terms of fighting, lockpicking, as well as tinkering--despite what he says he has built quite a number of machines and oddities that he uses day to day--like his Boxing Gloves that he uses alongside his vision; as well as his Catalyst, "Cashflow Supervision," a tiny robot tasked with understanding and recording the ins and outs of the economy of the fortress.

Money isn't the only Valuable Thing
The last important factor about Wriothesley's personality is his ability to see the value in others, and the value in things such as hard work. This doesn't necessarily mean actual physical labor, but rather it can also be seen that those willing to work on themselves are people of worth. While he did not create the Credit Cupon system in the fortress, he did change a lot of the rules and how they were handled in day to day life in order to give those in the fortress more of a chance to survive--and beyond that, a chance to do something better with their lives. Money isn't the only thing of value, after all--people and their talents, their drives and determination are often worth more than Mora, and with this belief in his heart, he often chooses to put more effort in helping others with self-improvement rather than caring about "profit". Changing the rules to make it so everyone gets a free meal, whether they work or not is something he does not view as a "kindness", for example, but rather because he believes that if people are given basic needs and means to survive, then they are more likely to be motivated to lead better lives instead of simply giving up.

Time of Arrival to Kaisou: Evening of Nov . 17th

His Labyrinth can include the Fortress of Meriopede (prison) itself, as well as things relating to his honestly pretty shitty childhood where he killed his foster parents + had to survive on his own for a long time.

Items: Cryo Vision, Canon Outfit, anime-ass metal boxing glove things good god

    Retained Abilities:

Forceful Fists of Frost - Punching and close-combat abilities are released with bursts of ice from his Cryo Vison.

Icefang Rush - Adjusting his breathing, rhythm, and pace, Wriothesley sprints forward a short distance, entering the Chilling Penalty state and unleashing more powerful attacks than before. (Using this injures him the longer he remains in this state.)
