There’s two sides of this world. For most people, it’s an Earth not too different from our own. A modern world based on science and technology. Stories of magic and monsters are nothing more than that: stories.

But for the few with the sense, they know all too well those things are anything but stories. Magic and the supernatural has always existed, the energy for it distributed across the world in spirit veins (also known as leylines, but that became an outdated term once it started being used by fraudsters). To live in an area near a spirit vein makes using magic easier and grants special abilities to certain people.

However, there’s a cost to this bounty. Much like the River Styx, these spirit veins are rivers that lead to another realm. It’s been called by many names through the ages: the Underworld, the Spirit Realm, Hell, Heaven - but no one truly knows what it is. What is known is that it’s full of dangerous denizens, and if you manage to catch the eye of one, you may be dragged into that realm never to be heard from again.

Until recently, this other realm was thought to be all there was. But a year ago, a strange occurrence took place in the city of Kaisou. Arrivals to the city through gates from this other realm, different from the monsters. These were people who claimed to be from other worlds not heard of before, with no memory of how they arrived in this one. And not long after, people who lived all their lives on Earth began to get flashbacks to long forgotten memories. Memories from a previous life, wholly different from one they could have on Earth.

Recently, an organization connected with the supernatural side of things has developed a networking app to connect everyone connected to what’s happening. They seem to want to resolve the situation and return people back to their world, but are you willing to trust them? Or will you try to manage things on your own? Or are you just trying to get by the best you can.
