What are Side Quests and how do they work?
Side Quests are optional missions/jobs that are posted on the Libra Network each month for characters to do. New quests will appear every month around the same time as the OOC plotting post (so about the 28th), but ICly will appear on the app on the 1st of the month.

Players will sign up their characters to do particular quests, either by themselves or with a group. During the sign up, players will give information on how well a character would do on a particular quest (for example: if an illiterate character was asked to read some books to children, you should mention that they can't read). With this information factored in, the mod helper will respond with roughly how smoothly the quest will turn out based on a combination of your characters skills and RNG.

From there, players are free to play out or handwave the side quests as they wish! While we ask that players sign up for quests that are happening in the current month, players can backdate quest threads as much to your liking.

There is no limit to how many characters can be part of a single quest group. You can do quests by yourself, or have a raid party of 30 characters.

You can sign up for as many group quests (2 or more characters) as you like. While you can sign up for a solo quest, they are currently restricted to one per month per character.

Are there Rewards?
Each quest will have IC rewards for characters that vary depending on the quest and how well the characters do.

On the OOC end, turning in quest threads that have at least 3 comments from your character will earn you 1 free gacha point. The quest doesn't need to be completed, it just needs to have at least three comments from your character in order to be eligible. While you can sign up for as many group quests as you like in a month, you can only redeem up to 3 gacha points per month. Threads for quests from previous months can be redeemed as well, but it'd count towards the quest turn-ins for the current month. In group quests, when redeeming gacha points, please be sure that each player who wishes to redeem the thread for a gacha roll comments individually so we can keep track of individual free gacha totals.

Jun and Takame's mission goes off fantastically! Neither of them are strangers to being yoinked into the spirit realm at this point, so they should be able to handle being pulled into that tear. Unless Takame still has some trauma from the persona plot. Sorry buddy. Jun's holy knight abilities should make short work of the undead crawling about this realm, and Takame's taking skills should make short work of those Jun misses AND the thorny maze surrounding them. Hell, if they decide to just smash their way through it, they'll be through it in no time. That's how you solve a maze, right? Between them, they are an exceptional fighting duo and they make short work of the flying skeleton. It's a pretty impressive battle, even if it's short. He didn't stand a chance.

For their victory, they each get $250 and a short sword that allows you to cast a medium-sized fireball three times a day. If they use magical sensing on the chest, they will sense it is full of artefacts and the like for magical cloning. It's- it's probably fine. Don't worry about it.

The Fellowship are very incredulous at first, when Gilgamesh and Vergil show up. They don't really WANT outsiders in their precious territory putting their (probably wrong) ideas about What Makes a Sandwich. But city officials have forced this and they SUPPOSE they're stuck listening to two rich dudes talk about stuff they don't actually know anything about. What're you gonna do next? Take over their social media?!! Luckily, Vergil and Gil are quick to make them eat their words. And their hot dogs. Between Gil's luck and both of their ridiculous amounts of money, they are able to get the BEST possible ingredients. Everything is ridiculous tier quality and naturally gets served with a sprig of some sort of herb. Did Vergil give them a knife and fork to eat the hot dog with? Probably. Regardless, the Fellowship have to agree that with the right ingredients (read: money) a hot dog can, indeed, make an artisanal sandwich. For now, peace is restored.

For their success, they each get $250 and a magical fork that will allow you to consume (chew and swallow) almost anything you can stab with it, even if it isn't a food. This does not free you from the consequences of your meals. Ex: you can eat a magic talking rock but the rock will continue talking inside of you. You are limited to items that can fit on a small plate or in your hands. They are also now both on the mailing lists for the Fellowship because obviously, they have KNOWLEDGE- also money. No matter how many times they request to be taken off them, they never are.

Well, if anything can be called a high-stress situation, being dragged through a dimensional tear should definitely count as one. Which is probably good because there are a lot of undead to fight here and Vergil didn't even bring a weapon along with him. They fumble their way through the thorn maze- likely getting their outfits cut in the process as they're trying to fight around the undead, too. They stumble out of the maze looking like they've been dragged through a hedge backwards (which at some point, they might have been) to face their skeletal foe. By some miracle, they manage to fight him without dying and get to the crate of questionable wares. Garfield is not impressed by the state of them when they eventually show up and asks them to politely stay outside as he takes his shady crate into his shady shop. He leaves them out there for about twenty minutes, occasionally peering through the curtains of his shop before realising they're not leaving and heaves out a sigh, opening the door to shove their winnings at them and then telling them to please go away.

For their just-about success, they get $250 and a shield charged with 3 hits worth of Light element to share between them. They can decide who gets what even if the $250 is a spit in the bucket for SOMEONE.

Despite having every possible advantage that they could have going into this, everything goes tits-up really quickly. Lapis uses her skills to aggro the undead but things end up lost in translation. Maybe it's the specific part of the Spirit Realm they're in, maybe it's the kind of undead they're dealing with- either way, the undead start yelling at each other, and then turn in a big group off through the maze. Weird. Rose and Lapis can follow them - stumbling through the thorns as they do so. Some stragglers are around to fight, but the undead seem REALLY focused on walking out of the maze rather than battle. Once they get out of the maze, Rose and Lapis have to deal with the skeletal boss- who ISN'T so enthralled by Lapis's powers. It's a rough fight- even with everything they have in their arsenal. While they're fighting, the undead pick up the crate between them and shuffle off into the night- if they listen hard enough, Rose and Lapis might be able to make up a croaky E-BAAAAAAAAY coming from them. Regardless, the crate is gone. They can beat the boss or make a hasty retreat, either way, they return to Garfield empty-handed.

You manage to escape with your life and whatever other injuries you sustained in the maze, but you swear you can hear the boss yelling "BOOOONNEEEESTOOOORRRMMMM!!!!" when you close your eyes. Garfield is deeply unimpressed and is unhappy he has to trawl internet bidding sites thanks to undead interference again.

Honestly, there should be no way for Kaveh and Abasi to fail this mission. This should have been an absolute cakewalk for them. Unfortunately, the fates were not so kind. They started out pretty great! Absi had his own Pokemon to help, they had the knowledge to not only make the clothes but what would work with each Pokemon. Unfortunately, they also had each other. Their public bickering was truly their undoing, eventually unsettling a group of baby Aipoms who create UTTER havoc from the chaos. Clothing is ripped, a bag of stick-on gemstones is eaten, a knitting needle is wielded as a sword. It's an absolute disaster. They won't be told not to return given...who they are, but they will be told maybe they should consider working on their interpersonal skills before trying arts and crafts together again anytime soon.

For their failure, they take home a misfit sweater as a consolation prize. Also, people within POKEGO will probably use this as ammo against them until the heat death of the universe. It'll be an anecdote for what NOT to do in every team-building exercise from here on in.

- Sorey has POKEGO experience and he's a big nerd with excellent recall ability, plus past experience with foraging. He can also use a lot of lightning should they get attacked and can turn into a dragon
- Yuuki has POKEGO experience and experience with Pokemon. He also has some fighting capability using his soul device should he gets attacked. Also can turn into a cat.
- Jun has experience with botany and is also familiar with the Kanto realm in particular. He's got a lot of combat skills. Also can turn into a wolf with enhanced smell.
Anything else?: I don't think any of them are stupid enough to eat the pepper and they'd be committed to completing the mission - but Yuuki and Jun had a fight recently and basically get along like oil and water, so they are attempting to ignore each other. Meanwhile Sorey is doing his best to make these spicy kittens actually get along. Poor Sorey does not deserve this at all.

Despite Yuuki and Jun playing a very complex game of cat chess with each other, this mission goes pretty dang well! Jun's botany skills and Sorey's Big Nerd Skills mean it's not too long before they find a bush with the required peppers- though there are a FEW bushes to pick from, it might require some taste testing to find the spiciest of the peppers to fulfil the brief. Unfortunately for them, a group of Purugly have made their nest in the aforementioned spiciest bush. Between them, they should be able to deal with the battle ahead of them, though a little stumbling is expected if two of the three of them aren't exactly on speaking terms. Luckily, with a few bumps and bruises, they manage to get the peppers they need and Guy Firey is delighted!

For their victory, they each get $5000, and two free meal vouchers at Wanmin Restaurant. And maybe they learned a valuable lesson about friendship along the way? Or not. Maybe this made things worse. Guy Firey sneaks Sorey a coupon for a free drink on him. Because like. You look so TIRED, buddy.
