What are Side Quests and how do they work?
Side Quests are optional missions/jobs that are posted on the Libra Network each month for characters to do. New quests will appear every month around the same time as the OOC plotting post (so about the 28th), but ICly will appear on the app on the 1st of the month.

Players will sign up their characters to do particular quests, either by themselves or with a group. During the sign up, players will give information on how well a character would do on a particular quest (for example: if an illiterate character was asked to read some books to children, you should mention that they can't read). With this information factored in, the mod helper will respond with roughly how smoothly the quest will turn out based on a combination of your characters skills and RNG.

From there, players are free to play out or handwave the side quests as they wish! While we ask that players sign up for quests that are happening in the current month, players can backdate quest threads as much to your liking.

There is no limit to how many characters can be part of a single quest group. You can do quests by yourself, or have a raid party of 30 characters.

You can sign up for as many group quests (2 or more characters) as you like. While you can sign up for a solo quest, they are currently restricted to one per month per character.

Are there Rewards?
Each quest will have IC rewards for characters that vary depending on the quest and how well the characters do.

On the OOC end, turning in quest threads that have at least 3 comments from your character will earn you 1 free gacha point. The quest doesn't need to be completed, it just needs to have at least three comments from your character in order to be eligible. While you can sign up for as many group quests as you like in a month, you can only redeem up to 3 gacha points per month. Threads for quests from previous months can be redeemed as well, but it'd count towards the quest turn-ins for the current month. In group quests, when redeeming gacha points, please be sure that each player who wishes to redeem the thread for a gacha roll comments individually so we can keep track of individual free gacha totals.

• Mae: she's pretty durable (takes getting electrocuted like a boss, falls off/gets flung off high places and is okay), she's pretty destructive as well, give her a baseball bat and she'll smash the shit out of anything and she's pretty good at it. weaknesses... she's a small fry, she's probably not that strong either
• Suzi: is a normal fucking human and is honestly best as bait. Also a healer, but details.
• Claude: a trained combatant and has zero hangups about walking into an IKEA carrying a bow and a quiver of arrows but he's best at fighting at range and IKEAs are notoriously kinda closed in and cluttered up. He also becomes much less useful if someone takes the bow away from him.

Anything else?: Man I hope doing violence to furniture is the solution here because that's all these dipshits got.

Well, violence is a solution alright! Through their combined efforts of smashing, the team will be able to take out the mimic! Unfortunately, they will also take out several other pieces of furniture along with it during their violent spree and cause enough destruction that they will be ban from IKEA.

Even with the ban, they will still receive the full rewards ($1000 and 20% off coupon on meatballs). Better wear disguises if they wanna cash in on those discounted meatballs!

He'll manage to find the Mimic without any trouble, and even manage to not harm a single piece of furniture during his great battle. It's a sight to behold, really. People will applaud him when it finishes because what a show. Incredible

Quest Name: Bird's the word.
Relevant Skills: - Moxxie now has experience taking care of a very needy cat he got from a previous gacha and has learned patience when the cat randomly wakes him up through the night by sitting on his chest and staring at his face while purring. He also owns a ventriloquist dummy so has experience with puppets.
- Luz has a love of animals and has taken care of baby birds in the past.
- Hunter doesn't have a lot of experience taking care of animals in general, but he's had Flapjack for 6+ months and is very serious about taking care of him. If he gets into trouble he can call Elliot, an extremely responsible adult. Flapjack will also be helping, and being a literal bird himself has a pretty good handle on how to take care of baby birds.
Anything else?: They're doing their best, even though the responsible adult is probably the one that knows the least about what he's doing here, lbr.

MISSION: A FAILURE LIKE NO OTHER (NAT 1)

On the bright side, none of the baby birds will die or be seriously harmed!

The baby birds will be fussy for baby birds. Plenty of shrieking and difficult feeding times. Luz, Hunter, and Flapjack will have some luck with them though, thanks to Flapjack's assistance. Unfortunately, the same can't be said for Moxxie. The baby birds will mistake him for a possum, aka a predator, and thus panic whenever he's around. Not only that, but one of the fletchlings will turn out to be a Ditto in disguise that slipped into nest, and get loose in Moxxie's home.

After an incident involving lasagna, the wildlife organization will decide that it would be best not to trust Moxxie with baby animals, and the birds will spend the remainder of the week with Luz and Hunter OR be sent back to the center.

Luz and Hunter will receive payment and a free t-shirt. Hunter and Luz will still be allowed to come to the release ceremony. Moxxie, on the other hand, will receive no payment and a ban from the wildlife center.

Also the ditto will still be in his apartment, lurking.

Shinichi Kudo truly is his element on this mission. Using his incredible detective skills, he'll have no issue unmasking his fat rat for what he is. It's almost straight out of a detective story his execution is so refined.

For his efforts, Shinichi will get the rat costume as well as a $500 reward. His reputation in the city will also go up as a detective in the city thanks to his work! He'll notice an uptick of clients wanting to take him on as a detective. Nice!

Five is tiny and stealthy and good at pickpocketing so she'd probably be able to spot a fellow thief in action.
Pepa has no relevant skills here. She's just in it for Bruno.

Quest Name: Bird's the Word
Relevant Skills: There is a high probability of an incident involving lasagna. The boys are not particularly well informed about what land animals eat (they fed a goose raw chicken to apologize for fighting it), and they make pasta literally every day... But Luca has experience taking care of animals, herding goatfish on his family's farm and helping his father raise competitive show crabs. So if they're successful in nursing this baby bird, it is to Luca's credit, because Alberto absolutely would try to feed it lasagna.
Anything else?: no matter what results we get... this poor bird.

MISSION: SUCCESS

Even against the odds of Alberto trying to feed it lasagna, it seems Luca's experience with animals will pull through and make things go pretty smoothly for the duo! Maybe sometimes there's a hijinks here and there, but something or someone tends to interfere before it goes too badly.

Quest Name: The Walls Have Ears and Maybe Eyes
Relevant Skills: Danny has no combat skills at this point but can walk through walls and turn invisible, sometimes even on command! Five has good instincts but no magic expertise, can create a shadow weapon, has intermediate level defense and weapons training, is very stealthy and can fit comfortably in small/tight spaces. She's brilliant with computers and anything electrical.
Anything else?: They could perhaps use combined stealth and/or Five's electrical and computer expertise?

MISSION: D- IS PASSING

Danny and Five with their combined efforts of walking through walls and electrical working, they will manage to find the mimic! However things won't go nearly as smoothly as they might hope. The mimic will put up quite a fight, causing some furniture damage. Not only that, but Danny will get spotted by some customers and freaked out -- and Five will get caught hacking into Ikea's electrical system. While Danny might be able to make his escape via turning invisible, if he or Five are caught they will be given a ban from IKEA.

Relevant Skills: Both Zelos and Amal are skilled at hitting things and have enhanced strength! That's about it.
Anything else?: While Zelos has fire magic he knows better than to try to use it.

MISSION: VERY SUCCESSFUL

Zelos and Amal have a very successful mission! After a lot of wandering around the IKEA space, they find the mimic and their combined strength means they're able to beat it into submission. Zelos choosing NOT to set fire to the establishment means that the building survives relatively unscathed. The only broken piece of "furniture" is something called an IÖunmunder which even the staff admit they're not quite sure what it does, so they allow it as a reasonable expense for removing the mimic.

They get their full reward of $1000 and a coupon for 20% off meatballs in the food court. Also the broken IÖunmunder as an extra "perk". Whatever it is. It has the instructions with it if they want to try to fix it up, but as always, they mean nothing.

Relevant Skills: No special skills other than they know how grocery stores work.

Elliot and Pepa fumble their way through the grocery store in search of an interesting ingredient that might please the chef's palate, but they are eventually successful! There's some collateral damage in the store but the plants seem to enjoy any rain Pepa can bring them. After snagging the last weird-looking fruit away from some adventurous wine aunt who planned on using it in a cocktail, they bring it to the baker and he seems pleased with the challenge! In a few days, he starts selling pink bread, which is both sweet and delicious.

They get the full reward of $200 and a free loaf of handmade artisan bread like the kind you'd find in a farmer's market, which is probably more exciting than the money.

First just to note as per your app, that while Marcus was able to retain his healing ability per his one retained ability - his strength is currently nerfed down to normal human strength without purchase of a regain.

Quest Name: Girls Just Wanna Have Fin
Relevant Skills: Usagi is legitimately really good with kids. She'll be happy to do all the nail painting, hair styling, chalk hair dye, and honestly she'll probably stop by an art supply store and grab beads so everyone can come home with matching friendship bracelets. She was literally made for this side quest.
Anything else?: The only downside is that she's. Not a great singer. Someone else will have to lead the birthday song.

Usagi has a natural gift with kids, maybe because she kind of is one. Either way, she's the perfect playmate for a merman's daughters! They have a blast doing all sorts of fun activities, and it turns out the beads are a hit, both for hair decorations and for making mementos. Usagi will be finding tiny seed beads in her things for the next week or so.

For her efforts, Usagi will receive several marine-themed bead creations, a wooden flute, and $500.

Quest Name: Li'l Pet Shop of Horrors
Relevant Skills: In mythology, imps are often familiars. This will give him the opportunity to infiltrate her shop as one of the familiars for sale. He has opposable thumbs which will help him escape any cage he's put in.
Anything else?: Moxxie will be infiltrating the shop by joining the latest shipment of familiars and trying to pretend to be one of the familiars for sale so he can watch Mrs. Fluffluffer and sneak around the shop to get evidence of her misdeeds.

Moxxie manages to slip into Mrs Fluffluffer's store with ease. At one point, a member of the public does ask how much the weird possum creature is for sale, but for once in his life, luck is on Moxxie's side and they get distracted by what looks like a jackalope and he's passed by. Moxxie manages to get evidence of all of Mrs Fluffluffer's crimes and even manages to get out of the store undetected!

For his reward, Moxxie receives $1000 and a pet-sized collar embroidered with rhinestones or spikes, your choice- the SPETA representative does try to put the collar ON Moxxie when handing out the reward. Maybe the infiltration is a little too effective. Moxxie also receives a pet rock. You're pretty sure it didn't use to be a person, but not 100%. It's probably not cursed.

Relevant Skills: Quest says bring a match to destroy supplies? Katsuki has fire powers! And ice walls. Maybe melt the ice to put out those fires after so they don't spread...?
Yoosung has very improbable luck. He also can conjure balls of light with the ARCUS II, can control a bucket worth of seawater (would there be seawater nearby?) and can mimic voices. Not sure if any of that helps here but I'll mention it just in case.
Anything else?: Katsuki excels at destruction? Yoosung is the voice of reason going "we don't need an INFERNO. Just a spark."

MISSION: SUCCESS

It wasn't the smoothest mission ever but they managed to get through it! Unfortunately, they are nowhere near the sea for this mission, so Yoosung's seawater abilities are tragically wasted.
They manage to infiltrate the warehouse- any security on site are easily fooled by Yoosung's voice mimicry- deciding it's just Dave coming back from his smoke break. His light balls also help lead the way through the warehouse. Katsuki's firepower really does burn through the supplies- it does unfortunately also catch a shipment of Share Bears which are in the next aisle. Those things go up like tinder- Katsuki's ice wall manages to stop any further damage to the warehouse, but those poor teddies are dust. But hey, at least all the love potion is gone!

As a reward, they receive £400 and a bottle of purple ketchup from 2001. Unfortunately, they both also are made to sit through a Zodiac PSA video called "Fire and Me: Ow it Burns!" where they are shown some very pedantic fire safety videos and quizzed on their fire safety know-how later. If they get a passing grade in the video they get a sticker with a smiley face on it, if they fail, they get a sticker with a sad face.

MISSION: PASSING

Pepa and Luffy manage to get to Stardew pretty easily- but the rest of the mission is pretty rough. They get lost trying to find the right farm with the correct ingredients they need. A "helpful" passerby points them in the right direction but unfortunately, he thought they said "muffle toil" and end up in a mechanics shop. It's pretty late at night by the time they locate in ingredients- which thanks to Pepa's luck they manage to harvest without incident they need and even later still by the time they actually manage to make the stuff. It's the wee hours of the next morning when they finish and bring the truffle oil to the mayor, who's quite upset, he wanted it for the previous night. For some reason. Still, he begrudgingly agrees they did manage to give him what he wanted, even if there are things floating in it. He does ask them to pretty please not do any favours for him again.

As a reward, they get £100, some fresh produce, and blissful ignorance. Though if anyone (Luffy) is dumb enough to keep pressing the mayor about what he wants to do with that truffle oil he will give them a knowing smile and a wink. They also receive an angry letter from the farmer they got the supplies from, stating they didn't receive the proper compensation for the goods they used as they didn't know it was for the mayor's "hobby" and demands £50 in damages to their psyche.
