What are Side Quests and how do they work?
Side Quests are optional missions/jobs that are posted on the Libra Network each month for characters to do. New quests will appear every month around the same time as the OOC plotting post (so about the 28th), but ICly will appear on the app on the 1st of the month.

Players will sign up their characters to do particular quests with another character or in a group. During the sign up, players will give information on how well a character would do on a particular quest (for example: if an illiterate character was asked to read some books to children, you should mention that they can't read). With this information factored in, the mod helper will respond with roughly how smoothly the quest will turn out based on a combination of your characters skills and RNG.

From there, players are free to play out or hand-wave the side quests as they wish! While we ask that players sign up for quests that are happening in the current month, players can backdate quest threads as much to your liking.

The minimum amount of characters that can partake in a quest is 2 characters. There is no maximum limit, so in theory you could have a raid party of 30 characters. You can sign up for as many quests as you like.

Quest results will be received on Sundays by 4pm EST. If there are quests that were submitted BEFORE 4pm EST that didn't get their results that day, they may get their results on Monday. Quests that are submitted on Sunday AFTER the 4pm EST window may have to wait until the following weekend to get results.

Please note that while factors like luck-based abilities and specialized skills will increase the chances of success in side quests, there is always a chance of failure depending on how the dice rolls land (for instance, if the side quest mods roll a "1", the quest will be a failure regardless of luck boosts). Sometimes failure happens, and that's okay! The mods are not failing any players on purpose, the rolls are entirely up to RNG. If there are any severe long term consequences to a side quest, it will be listed in the quest info so no one is caught by surprise.

We ask that players please understand when they sign up for a quest, and to accept any failed results with maturity (aka don't harass the side quests mods over it). Should you be unable to do so, you will get one warning. Should you continue to act inappropriately, you may be barred from participating in future side quest for some time depending on the severity of the situation.

Are there Rewards?
Each quest will have IC rewards for characters that vary depending on the quest and how well the characters do! IC rewards will be listed next to the results.

On the OOC end, there are two different rewards you can obtain should you turning in quest threads that have at least 3 comments from your character:

Regain Points: You can obtain 2 regain points per quest thread that you submit! The maximum of regain points you can earn through this manner is 4 regain points per player per month (or through two quests maximum). In order to be eligible to earn this on multiple quests, each quest thread must be with a different player, as we want side quests to be a way to encourage CR. This requirement will reset on a bimonthly basis (example: if TF and Yuff did a quest together and got 2 regain points for it in July, the next time we could do a quest together that'd earn us regain points is September).
Gacha Pulls: For every quest thread submitted, you can earn 2 free gacha pulls. You can only redeem quest threads for gacha pulls 3 times per month (aka a maximum of six pulls per month)

The quest doesn't need to be completed, it just needs to have at least three comments from your character in order to be eligible. It's up to you to decide which portion of the quest the thread covers (it could be threading out the quest as it happens OR making a reaction post after the fact). Threads for quests from previous months can be redeemed as well, but it'd count towards the quest turn-ins for the current month.

When redeeming rewards, please make sure each individual participant comments to the quest results comment with a link to the quest thread AND specifies which kind of reward they want.

Quest Name: Hopping Mad
Relevant Skills: JoJo's hamon lets him 'vault' himself short distances in a direction of choice, and as an Egyptian fruit bat he can echolocate. He can also shapeshift (humanoid and small animals). JoJo's also bringing his Indeedee, who can wield telekinesis.

Ritsuka has incredibly enhanced smell, fox-level hearing, low-level night vision, Animal Love, +1 Luck...and an active hunting instinct. She also has experience in seeking 'monster' dens and removing 'spawning points'.
Anything else?: As noted, Ritsuka has a hunting instinct, and also happens to be a fox (kitsune, rather). She might eat at least one rabbit.

Jonathan meanwhile intends to initially Try zipping through the warrens on his own, but if that proves too difficult despite being much smaller than a rabbit, he'll shapeshift into one himself. ...Hopefully the rabbits don't mind, but also, hopefully he isn't too popular or he'll have a whole new problem.

While Ritsuka and Jonathan focus on the warrens, JoJo's Indeedee will be calmly levitating rabbits away from food and into pens. He's Helping.

As per the quest setup, questers are required to find and dispose of the carrot basket hidden in the burrows. You have not mentioned the basket in your quest setup - do you aim for them to find the basket or would you like this to be rolled without them being able to locate it?

Since the quest description says the basket is located in the rabbits' main burrow, we meant for them to attempt to track down said burrow (sense of smell, experience tracking monster lairs, Jonathan's general mobility, etc) and once there, investigate it to locate and remove the basket (shapeshifting/using echolocation to explore the burrow, experience removing objects that are spawning the problem, etc). So yes, the intent was for them to locate and remove the core problem of the basket! Assuming they don't botch the roll and fail ~~hilariously~~ miserably, of course.

Apologies if that was unclear! Also since the prompt was vague about how to dispose of the basket after it was found we assumed only locating and removing it from the burrow was necessary to address, with whatever happens to it after that being fine to handwave. If we totally misunderstood that part please let us know so we can fix!

Ritsuka's animal love becomes a big player pretty quickly on in this quest. A good number of rabbits swarm over to her (if she wants a little snackie, no one will judge her for it) leaving the burrows open for Jonathan to zip inside to echolocate the basket- with the help of RItsuka's knowledge of spawning points, as, boy, does the basket ping hard there. Once he gets there, he finds a mass of bunnies guarding it, it- wow, it honestly looks like they've built a little bunny shrine to it with a bunch of sticks and fur- creepy! He can use either vaulting or shapeshifting to pick the thing up and get back to the surface. And that's when all hell breaks loose. The remaining rabbits turns to swarm on the basket, trying to rescue it from the awful kidnappers. Thanks to the Indeedee, a few have been put into a pen, but they clamber over each other in a terrifying, fuzzy wave towards the basket. The farmer yells at them to get the heck out of his farm with that thing as the bunnies mass towards them. They manage to get the basket off the property- and while what they do with it is up to them, it does rid the farmer of his rabbit problem. Naturally, the rabbit problem follows them while they deal with the basket, but that's part of the fun.
