Hah yeah, tell me about it. I'm not from this time period, originally. Whenever I came across anyone else like me back home, which was admittedly few and far between, it was very much like this.

[One of them nearly created a black hole, something for ONCE he wasn't completely responsible for!! ]

It takes a particular kind of person to pursue knowledge. The occasional challenging of one's viewpoints might lead to growth, so long as it is in the pursuit of truth.

Put another way, a little bit of chaos means that you are comfortable with one another.

Hah I guess that's a pretty good way of putting it. It's honestly pretty nice to be able to speak to other people who are really interested in knowledge and learning. People I can bounce my ideas off.

The pursuit of knowledge is far more enjoyable when shared with one's peers.

I am sure our interests are different-- I am something of a walking history, at my age-- but if you ever need someone to discuss your ideas with, I am happy to listen.

I'm more science than history, but again, not from this time period originally, so you might be more familiar to me than most of the people here. Most of the people from this time period have to communicate through memes or pop culture references and I really don't get it.

You are not the only one who finds themselves lost when it comes to certain kinds of conversation. I hear all sorts of strange language as a professor, and I am not always given a meaningful translation.

I was raised in the traditions of my youth... a youth that the museum called ancient this summer... much to my chagrin.

Right! And they look at you like you're supposed to just know what Updog means or whatever. It's so frustrating. What out for Live- he sends stupid face pictures all the time and none of them make sense.

...Ouch, yeah. I've been there. I get that a lot.
