What are Side Quests and how do they work?
Side Quests are optional missions/jobs that are posted on the Libra Network each month for characters to do. New quests will appear every month around the same time as the OOC plotting post (so about the 28th), but ICly will appear on the app on the 1st of the month.

Players will sign up their characters to do particular quests, either by themselves or with a group. During the sign up, players will give information on how well a character would do on a particular quest (for example: if an illiterate character was asked to read some books to children, you should mention that they can't read). With this information factored in, the mod helper will respond with roughly how smoothly the quest will turn out based on a combination of your characters skills and RNG.

From there, players are free to play out or handwave the side quests as they wish! While we ask that players sign up for quests that are happening in the current month, players can backdate quest threads as much to your liking.

There is no limit to how many characters can be part of a single quest group. You can do quests by yourself, or have a raid party of 30 characters.

You can sign up for as many group quests (2 or more characters) as you like. While you can sign up for a solo quest, they are currently restricted to one per month per character.

Are there Rewards?
Each quest will have IC rewards for characters that vary depending on the quest and how well the characters do.

On the OOC end, turning in quest threads that have at least 3 comments from your character will earn you 1 free gacha point. The quest doesn't need to be completed, it just needs to have at least three comments from your character in order to be eligible. While you can sign up for as many group quests as you like in a month, you can only redeem up to 3 gacha points per month. Threads for quests from previous months can be redeemed as well, but it'd count towards the quest turn-ins for the current month. In group quests, when redeeming gacha points, please be sure that each player who wishes to redeem the thread for a gacha roll comments individually so we can keep track of individual free gacha totals.

Relevant Skills: Katsuki and Luffy both have combat experience and they'll probably just fight the gnomes...

MISSION: SUCCESS

Katsuki and Luffy manage to track down the "ogre" and the gnomes immediately launch into an attack, not willing to go down without a fight! The boy's combat experience is truly put to the test, and more than once it looks like they might get crushed by debris the gnomes toss at them, but Luffy's luck really comes in handy, meaning all attempts to crush them are near misses. They eventually manage to take out the armour and the gnomes scatter into the night- where to? Who knows! But at least with their prototype destroyed, Undertown can breathe easy for a while.

For their success, they get £500 and a coupon for Void Denny's dessert. Undertown is grateful for their hard work and a few vendors will give them a discount or two for the rest of the month.

Relevant Skills: I don't think either of them particularly have any skills that would matter here? They'd be trying to prevent sabotage instead of commit sabotage tho.
Anything else?: Demyx can judge the brew but Yoosung can't. And Yoosung has a +3 to luck.

MISSION: FAILURE

The battle of the brews goes strong... and some say it even goes wild. With so many interests (and some kind of old college football rivalry tossed into the mix) it's no surprise that the contest becomes incredibly chaotic. Despite their best efforts, Demyx and Yoosung lose track of the plot somewhere between prime rib and a bunch of dogs crashing the homemade jerky stand. They can at least narrow the perpetrators' identities down to a mysterious hooded gaggle of goths, and they may even attempt to apprehend them, but without hard proof of the group's deeds there is very little that can be done. It seems like you're always one step behind... but hey, at least the food's good.

However, at some point both Demyx and Yoosung are separated and lose consciousness. Was it the brisket? The pumpkin spice IPA? Or was it the quadruple chocolate cake? Whatever the culprit, they wake up in Blue Fish Park smelling distinctly of bratwurst and being licked in the face by the same dogs from earlier.

Relevant Skills: Aziraphale is well-read, has his own shop of tomes, antiquities, and whatnot that he keeps organized (albeit by his own hodgepodge system), but may be distracted by an intriguing book during the process.

Relevant Skills: Zelos has angel shenanigans with elemental nonsense and super senses; Rose is coming in hot with a demon buddy for Reaper shenanigans; and Yuri rounds it off with possession enhanced invisibility, shadow teleportation, and being able to switch places with an ally in 30 feet. That being said, Yuri's not a combatant, really, though he picks locks real good while Zelos and Rose are... Zelos and Rose (read: friction and not in the thirsty way).
Anything else?: I mean, if flirting helps at all, we got two of them right here. Zelos and Yuri ain't shy about that in the slightest!

Relevant Skills: He mostly remembers the Dewey Decimal system. Mostly.

He will also live in complete shame if he's forced to endure the pointy hat. Nothing could be more shameful and embarrassing to him.

MISSION: FLAWLESS SUCCESS!!! (NAT 20)

Aziraphale's efforts and prior experience as a lover of books and antiquities does not go unnoticed or unappreciated. Thanks to his efforts, the lady's library is cleaned up in hours rather than days, but it feels like the time goes very fast! Though there are a few hiccups-- in one case, a forbidden book regurgitating a tiny demon onto the floor, and at least one sock-stealing gremlin gets loose-- they manage to quell the chaos together and restore order to the old witch's abode.

He will receive $300, two bags of butterscotch and these things, a book on astrology and how to read the stars, and also... her personal card. Scented with perfume and tea. She winks and invites him to tea sometime, but he is welcome to decline.

MISSION: VERY SUCCESSFUL

Yuri, Zelos, and Rose make the worst best kind of team. Despite the potential for friction between them, somehow they manage to track down the necromancer's evil discounted office. The place is creepy as hell and there is no escaping it: bones of all kinds, partially decomposed pets and even a gym teacher from a hundred years ago lay in the back room waiting to be worked on. They will need to figure out how to grant these souls rest. Luckily, disrupting the necromancer's dastardly deeds should be easy. After all, he's left his candles, ritual circles, and forbidden spellbooks out like a teenager not expecting his parents to raid his room. The redheads and their retainer can dispose/sabotage the base however violently they see fit, though it's recommended they beat a hasty retreat before what would normally be considered dawn. Otherwise there is still time to rebury the poor victims before the cops show up.

The night of hard work pays off. The team receives $1000 to be split however they feel like as well as an inflatable reaper yard decoration.

MISSION: D- IS PASSING

Cale and the old witch spend a lot of time together. It takes most of the night to organize everything, until very nearly the sunless morning. Though Dewey Decimal does help out here, there's still some unexpected magical obstacles that present problems. Like, how does one file magical brooms? What does one do when the books in question are the kind that summon demons? Should those be organized by function or by author? Also at one point a newt in a suit tries to keep him from filing away some books, but it's completely unintelligible even should he possess some affinity for the animal language.

Somehow Cale gets past all that, however, and he is able to relax and have some tea with the grateful old witch when all is said and done. It is a little bit sloppy but it's serviceable enough. Master Monalisa spares Cale the cone of shame. For now. She sends him home with $150, a book on how to read the heavens, and a bag of minty pastel nonpareils.

Holy moly, the dice were in his favor. O_O Thank you, mod! I love it! And the butterscotch and strawberry candies...my childhood.

He is flattered by her card and invitation, and may well attend tea because witches are fascinating, though he very much doesn't swing that way. He will treasure the book, study it, and add it to his collection.
