OLD PAGE. GO TO THE CURRENT APP PAGE HERE

Okay so application is a very strong word and not entirely accurate, but it's a term we all know so bear with me. This is the page where you officially submit your character information for the game! Apps will not really be judged on its contents but more making sure everything fits into the setting of the game. If you want more information on the setting, please check out the FAQ!

How do I join the game?
This app page is currently open! Apps can be submitted by players at anytime. Apps are reviewed by the mod on Sundays.

To join the game, the only big thing is you'll require an invite from another player. Players can invite up to 2 people per month. Just be sure to list their name and have the person confirm that they did invite you either by contacting the mods directly or commenting to your app. Apps that do not have a invitation confirmation will not be looked at by the mods. If a confirmation does not come within two Sundays of the app's submission, it'll be automatically rejected.

A new player must be in the game one full month from their app acceptance date before they can invite another player (meaning if their app was approved on September 18th, they can invite people starting October 18th). This is so the new player has a chance to get acclimated to the game and community enough to assist any friends they later invite to the game.

Players who were in the game but who dropped/were swept will not need an invite to rejoin the game for up to one month after their drop date. After that month, they will require an invite to rejoin.

Once you submit your app, you'll get a welcome comment confirming that everything is a-okay. The only times I'll ask for revisions is if there needs to be a fix with power purchases or possessions.

Is there a player cap?
There is a player cap! Kaisou allows a total of 75 players. Should we ever reach cap, apps will close until openings become available.

PLAYER SLOTS: 46/75 filled.

What kind of characters do you allow?
Most things! Canon characters, Original characters, CRAU, AU characters - the list goes on. Double characters are also allowed so long as the doubles are notably different from one another (examples: MCU Peter Parker and Into the Spider-verse Peter Parker would be fine as they are two clearly different interpretations of the character. Alternatively, a canon version of a character and an AU version of the same character would be fine as long as the AU causes a notable difference in the character). Customizable protagonists and characters from canons with different story routes are allowed, and any characters with differing story routes would be considered AUs from one another.

The only requirement for a character is that they do require a consistent canon history. This is because many of the plot events and mechanics deal with memories and connections to their previous life (or current life if an OU). If you wish to app a mascot character that doesn't have a specific canon background (a vocalid, clippy, the trix rabbit, etc) - you are welcome to write an OC that's inspired by the character with a clear established background to work from. Characters who have multiple canon iterations (like Link from Legend of Zelda or Sonic the Hedgehog) will need to pick a single iteration to pull their canon background from. Characters must also have been properly introduced (not just a quick cameo) in their canon for at least one month at the time of apping.

How many characters can I play at a time?
You can play up to four active characters at a time! Only two of these characters are allowed to be Original Universe and there is a player cap of 25 OU players.

OU PLAYER SLOTS: 24/35 filled.

At the start of each month, we will make sure there are at least 2 OU player slots open whether it be through drops, or adding extra slots. But to keep from one cast from dominating the limited OU slots, there is a OU cast cap of 6 characters per cast. There's no cap on AUs from the canon at this time, just OUs!

Casts near Cap:
Final Fantasy XIV - 6/6, OUS CAPPED

How frequently can I submit an app?
There is no time restraint on the first two characters you app. If you join the game with the intent of playing two characters, you can app them both immediately or wait it out! However after you app your second character, you will require to wait one month between each new character app (so if you app your second character on March 2nd, you will need to wait until April 2nd to app a new character).

What type of characters can I play in this setting?
You have three options for characters!
  • Normal Modern AU: These characters have lived normal lives in a modern Earth setting, completely oblivious to anything strange up until their entry into the game. Anything in their backstory should be events that could reasonably happen in the real world. Upon acceptance, Normal AUs will be allowed to pick one free regain (canon regain or an elemental power) worth up to 3 points that will come into effect after they join the game.

  • Paranormal Modern AU: These are characters who have grown up in a modern Earth setting, but throughout their lives have experienced supernatural occurrences. These characters will get 3 extra points when they app to use for powers that the acquired at some point in their lives (if they so choose). Characters are also allowed to be apped as possessed status. Please refer to the FAQ for more information on that!

  • Original Universe Characters: Characters who hail from their original world and find themselves waking up in this world. These characters will not lose any memories, and are allowed to have any items that would reasonably be on their person when they arrive. They are allowed to retain one ability that's been weakened to beginner levels, otherwise they've been completely depowered.

[personal profile] end_singer 2022-09-01 03:35 am (UTC)(link)
Player Name: Endless
Contact: same as before
Invited by: I'm already here
Other Characters: Ghaleon

Character Name: Gravelord Nito
Canon: Dark Souls
Canon Point: post inconveniet discorporation being felled by the Chosen Undead
History: Sometimes you're the avatar of a primordial force and mostly you just want to vibe.

Personality:
- Dedicated to his purpose for existance; that purpose just happens to be regulating the process of death and looking after the dead.
- Does not operate on human morality; he's not likely to up and kill anyone unprovoked, but he also doesn't care if those in his covenant spread death via pvp or killing lots of basilisks as long as it gets done.
- Patient and difficult to anger, but better hope you can outrun him if you do.
- Kind, after a fashion; he looks after those in his charge, even going as far as to compose a song meant to soothe those bearing death and darkness and teaching it to his creations, which he made for that specific purpose.
- Takes things at his own pace to the extreme that he hasn't left his tomb since the Age of Fire began, and has in fact been asleep most of that time. He doesn't have to be awake to do his job, after all.

Time of Arrival to Kaisou: early September
Items: Listen, his only worldly possessions are more skeletons, which he can't reasonably carry when shrunk to human size. He's got nothing.
Retained Ability: Manifesting what from a distance seems like a shaggy fur cloak, but from closer up appears to be made of whisps of darkness and something undefineable. It does nothing but cover him in this state.

Other Characters: Claude von Riegan

Character Name: Orpheus
Canon: Hadestown
Canon Point: Post-canon
History: Here!!

Personality:
  • Optimism - Orpheus is repeatedly described in canon as being able to "see how the world could be, in spite of the way that it is," which is touted as one of his greatest virtues and something that attracts people to him in addition to his musical talent. As a dreamer by nature, he sees the best in people, trusting Persephone to provide for the world despite her long absences and moving through life with a bright-eyed sort of confidence that everything will work out if people just work together and show each other kindness. While on a surface level this may seem to be at odds with the crucial end of his escape from Hades, the great tragedy of his story comes in the form of a single moment of weakness brought on in part by distrust in Hades's letting them go but mostly by intense guilt for having left Eurydice to fall into the Underworld to begin with and doubt in his worthiness as her partner. Ultimately it's more his insecurity in himself rather than the world around him that leads him to turn back and doom Eurydice back to Hadestown than shaken faith in the world around him. As he comes from post-canon, this failure on his part has done a number on his self esteem and given him a severe guilt complex, but not necessarily his faith in other people.
  • Empathy - As mentioned earlier, Orpheus tries to see the best in people wherever he can, but where he can't he still makes an attempt to understand the other person's point of view. While it would be easy for him to simply hate and fear Hades for the suffering to which the latter has put his subjects in the Underworld, Orpheus is able to reach out to him and ultimately unharden his heart some by appealing to their common fear of losing their wives to a world where they can't follow. While it takes him until the third iteration of Epic to truly understand, he cottons on to Hades's intense loneliness and attempts to fill the void with his various projects as early as seeing him arrive to take Persephone back early in Way Down Hadestown, and similarly expresses concern over Persephone's growing reliance on revelry and alcohol to distract from the misery that her marriage now brings her. On a more positive note, he also is able to glean from Eurydice's demeanor her intense loneliness as covered in Any Way The Wind Blows, and a large part of his motivation in approaching her aside from his own instant infatuation is wanting to help solve that in whatever ways he can.
  • Naivete - Returning to Orpheus's optimism for a moment, his easy confidence in the goodwill of others and the inherent fairness of things easily turns to an almost simplistic misunderstanding of how things really work. Case in point, his certainty that spring's return will immediately fix all of his and Eurydice's and the world's problems, which leads him to fixate on trying to solve that to the exception of all other concerns. Arguably this comes in part from his somewhat sheltered upbringing, with his knowledge of the wider world largely coming from epic stories where solutions are straightforward and heroic rather than his own personal experience.
  • Obliviousness - Orpheus is also somewhat oblivious to things like social cues and the world outside whatever his current focus is, as briefly touched on before. He has a tendency to say whatever's on his mind regardless of whether it's inappropriate or weird - asking a girl he's never met to marry him after being explicitly warned not to come on too strong, and later missing Hermes's disapproval and attempts to hint at her fate after he neglects her in order to work on his song. He means well, but certain things just go over his head. Again, it's hinted that this has to do with his having a somewhat sheltered upbringing, being raised on stories of the Gods and mythic heroes but not much deep social interaction.
  • Devotion - On top of all of this, Orpheus is also an intensely devoted individual. This is most obvious in his journey into the Underworld, all done for the sake of Eurydice home, but it's also apparent in his actions before then. Pouring all of his efforts into writing his song may not have been a good idea, ultimately, but his intention was to make a world where she'd feel safe and secure in a way she hadn't before. He loves Eurydice deeply and will do virtually anything for her, being quick to cast aside any doubts about their relationship even when it's revealed that she left for Hadestown of her own volition. His dismay over her having signed a contract with Hades is not being upset with her, but with the situation that lead her into it and the difficulty it poses in bringing her home, as well as with himself for allowing it to get so bad.
Time of Arrival to Kaisou: Immediate
Items:
  • Clothes (Shirt, pants, underwear, suspenders, socks, boots, bandana)
  • Acoustic guitar (everyone calls it a lyre but it is in fact a guitar)
  • A backpack containing:
    • A change of clothes
    • One of Eurydice's rings
    • A votive candle featuring an image of Hermes
    • A journal half-filled with songs and poetry
Retained Ability: Charming non-hostile animals by singing or playing music.

Character Name: Dirk Strider
Canon: Homestuck
Canon History: Here!

Canon Personality:
Dirk Strider is, more than anything else, self-obsessed. Not necessarily in a bad way, just...not necessarily in a good way either. He's self-assured at the same time as full of self-loathing. He can be self-centered, whether that means failing to consider others or blaming himself for things that really have nothing to do with him. He's self-aware, all too conscious of both his own impressive skills and worst faults.

Just a whole lot of "self", really. It's kind of a theme here.

Dirk has the title of "Prince of Heart", wherein the Heart aspect is representative of souls and identity. Dirk very strongly tied to his aspect on a conceptual level. Alternate selves – whether it's dreamselves or alternate timeline selves or whatever – are pretty common in Homestuck to begin with, but Dirk is particularly tied to his. More than that, he feels haunted by them – he sees himself from every angle, which gives him painfully clear perspective. He sees everything he hates about himself from the viewpoint of anyone who has to deal with him. He feels his faults are only amplified by his "splinters", every version of him making the same mistakes in fun new ways. More than once he likens his own self to an ocean that he's struggling not to drown in. He can't escape from himself – not even cosmic superdrugs can manage to change or influence him. For better or worse, he's always himself.

It's not all bad, but even some of his best traits are just a matter of perspective. He's good at taking charge and getting shit done, but that also makes him frequently pushy and controlling. He's smart – too smart for his own good, really. He always thinks he knows best in the moment. It doesn't help that he's extremely hyper-competent in a comic known for fuckups and comedies of errors – he often is right, at least in an objective sense, and between that and his domineering manner, he can often steamroll others during decision-making. It's great when shit needs to get done, but his failure to handle others' feelings properly often leads to interpersonal messiness. It's only in hindsight that he ever seems to recognize that he doesn't actually know best, and that belated recognition of how he hurts people is just another thing to hate about himself. He always manages to keep a cool head, to the point of seeming distant and aloof – "taciturn to the max about everything", as one of his friends put it – but in truth his aloofness is just a struggle to express himself borne of lifelong isolation. And despite all that, he does care for the people he's close to, deeply and fiercely. But he can come across as needy or desperate – to himself, at least. Other people are more likely to interpret it as overbearing or just being crazy intense, but as always, he recognizes and understands his own behavior all too well, and he's more critical of it than anyone else.

He really is crazy intense, though. Dirk takes everything to an extreme; he can't just like something, he has to be an expert in it, to the extent of writing academic papers that he has peer-reviewed by the AI version of himself that he created. He can't start any project without getting wildly carried away with it. And he's prone to weird power plays in his attempts to control everything. Even in his relationship with his love interest, Jake, he goes about everything in what Jake describes as "a really long term and esoteric courtship process that is bizarre but somehow makes perfect sense in his mind" and leaves Jake feeling like them getting together is sort of inevitable due to how Dirk is "just so relentless and aggressive about everything".

The saga of Brobot is a painfully clear example of all that Dirk is. A robot (styled after Dirk himself) built as a simple wrestling partner for Jake instead became a constantly-lurking assailant frequently beating the shit out of Jake in the name of toughening him up and keeping him on his toes. And while there was a "novice" setting, it's implied that the wrestling in that mode became more like cuddling, which was likely an indirect romantic overture from Dirk while also being a passive-aggressive jab at the idea of needing a novice setting at all – layered, as all things Dirk tend to be. Dirk brushed off Jake's complaints about the robot, and even Jake had to admit the sense in it. But that's just typical of conflicts with Dirk – his pragmatism overrides everyone else's feelings, no matter how valid those feelings are, and he's convinced he's right up until everything blows up in his face because people don't live in a world of pure logic. And eventually, when Jake needed some uranium to power a machine, the robot-Dirk ripped its own uranium heart out and smashed it to pieces for Jake's use.

Yeah. Objectively helpful, but a maybe tad dramatic. Par for the course with all versions of Dirk.

AU History:
Dirk has never had stable family or home life. From as early as he can remember, he was bouncing from foster home to group home to foster home. Placements were difficult and often short-lived for him as an aloof, too-smart-for-his-own-good kid with trust issues and difficulty emoting, so he struggled to make or maintain many interpersonal connections growing up.

Being able to see spirits didn't help matters. He learned quickly not to talk about that part for fear of seeming insane on top of scarily intense and stoic.

Most of Dirk's formal education came from online schooling since he moved around so much, and he dove even harder into his own informal studies, obsessively soaking up knowledge and teaching himself programming and robotics. It was a good distraction from everything else difficult in his life – social struggles, seeing things other people couldn't – and the hard sciences felt real and tangible in comparison to the supernatural bullshit. He proved to be extremely gifted academically and was able to skip a few grades' worth of material, and started applying to colleges early in anticipation of aging out of the system anyway. Better a dorm than another awkward home situation for his last year or two as a minor, and he'd be better set up to support himself anyway. He grew up primarily in Texas, but aimed to relocate in college to be closer to some online friends – the most consistent relationships he'd ever had.

Having nailed a full-ride scholarship to major in robotics and engineering, Dirk's moved himself out to Kaisou, where – for better or worse – he can't just ignore the spirit world shit.

AU Personality Differences:
  • Still stoic and intense and hard to read, but it stems more from a lack of stability and early social development instead of total isolation.
  • He remains determinedly self-sufficient, but there's less focus on literal fighting skills without having had to survive in a post-apocalyptic Earth or prepare for SBURB. Instead, he's just scrappy as hell and thinks ninja swords are cool.
  • Without the idolization of his Bro, he doesn't wear the weird anime shades all the time. He's only sometimes that big a weeb. He wears regular shades a lot of the time, but it's not a 24/7 thing.

Character Name: Althea Brooks
Canon: OC, Marvel/X-Men based
History: Google Doc with all her info here, or here in another app on her journal if google docs aren't great.

Personality: The history link has most of this as well, but to summarize:

She's helpful, hopeful, and terrified, all to a fault. She'll believe the best in others and the worst in herself, though she's begun learning that she probably shouldn't go through life like that. She both relies heavily on and heavily ignores and burries her abilities, be they intellectual, mutant, whatever, and that dichotomy is a large part of what she struggles with overall. Were she given proper mental health help and counseling, she'd almost certainly be diagnosed with ptsd from her home life as well as anxiety and adhd, but she ignores most of those warning signs because 'if she's not perfect, she won't be wanted'.

That mantra rules her life to a ridiculous degree.

Time of Arrival to Kaisou: Immediately?
Items: A necklace with a golden pendant on it that has a figure on each side, a puzzlebox with a gem that reacts to electricity as the prize (pretty and possibly a good practice method only), an mp3 player and headphones, a glove modified with metal fillaments meant to channel her electricity more delicately/consistently
Retained Ability: I imagine extremely basic electrokinesis would be limited to knowing generally where electricity/something powered is when it's nearby, and at most 'offensive', a taser effect while she's physically touching someone/thing, maybe some parlor tricks of lighting up a lightbulb while hoding it, or making speakers crackle while holding the powerline.

(Absolutely willing to fiddle with powers/abilities if needed! I don't really have a baseline of what 'levels' of electrokinesis would entail, I just imagine she wouldn't be able to throw lightning or sense people around her via bioelectricity or anything fancy like that. :P )

Character Name: Asriel Dreemurr
Canon: Undertale
Canon Point: At the end of the Pacifist Route, before changing back into Flowey.
History: https://undertale.fandom.com/wiki/Asriel_Dreemurr
https://undertale.fandom.com/wiki/Flowey

Personality:  ❀ CARING:  Asriel was not only raised by two extremely loving parents, but seems to have the same empathetic and caring nature that Asgore and Toriel have. This shows especially when he comes to the first fallen human's rescue. Despite the fact that humans had once sealed monsters underground, Asriel doesn't seem to hesitate to help the child when they fall into the ruins. Monsters in Undertale are also quite literally made of empathy and love. It resonates through their SOUL. This caring nature also leads to him being rather sensitive. He's called a crybaby in a few points during Undertale's canon.

❀ IMPRESSIONABLE:  Asriel seems deeply influenced by those around him – perhaps even moreso than other children are. He takes after Asgore via his way of speaking with a Southern dialect. This also shows especially after death when he seems to copy some of his best friend's mannerisms – whether it be through their “creepy smiles” or the mischief that the both of them seemed to get into together. The fact that they're easily influenced by others is also what leads them to get caught up in things where they can be in over their head. This is seen mostly when it comes to the plan to free monsters in the underground, even if it meant that Chara would sacrifice themselves for it.

❀ LOVING:  This loving nature is both a positive and negative aspect of Asriel's character. It's his loving nature that can lead him to helping others – doing what he can to make others happy and in his words “give them a happy ending,” however – Asriel loves others to what may be an unhealthy degree. The desperation and need to see Chara again is what leads Asriel to want to force Frisk to kill others and ultimately change them into a person who would be more like their sibling It gets to the point where they use and perhaps even see Frisk as a replacement for Chara. When Asriel loves, he loves hard. He states how he loves and cares for Chara more than anyone else. When he changed into Flowey, he worked to give others a happy ending in what might be seen as a desperate attempt to feel the love that he lost.

❀ CYNICAL:  Despite having been saved by Frisk, Asriel still deeply carries a cynical view of the world. Despite no longer believing in the philosophy kill-or-be-killed, Asriel is well aware that there are many dangerous people in the world. He knows that his best friend's plan was not something he should have completely had faith in, and that they weren't the “best person.” Perhaps this is due to the fact that Asriel ended up influenced by Frisk, just as he had Chara. However, as Flowey – it seemed as though Asriel truly believed that things such as love and faith in others were worthless things. While Asriel has remembered what it is like to love and care for others, this doesn't change their previous way of believing.

❀ COWARDLY: Despite being willing to kill others time and time again, Asriel is also the kind of person to run away the moment that his own life is in danger. He seems to want to desperately cling to things that he's familiar with or what he wants to keep control of. The want and need to have “God-like” powers was more of a way for Flowey to remain in control of the power of DETERMINATION. In the no-mercy run, he also changes his mind and decides the path that Frisk takes is ultimately a bad idea only when his own life is in danger. He ultimately tries to save Asgore to prevent Frsik from attempting to kill him.

❀ RELATIONSHIPS: Asriel has several important relationships. The most important being Chara. Chara is a human who had fallen into the Underground that Asriel had found and helped. They quickly became best friends, and it is said by other characters that they were like siblings. He shares a friendly relationship with them and says in canon that he believes that he understands and cares from Chara more than anyone else. After Chara dies, much of Flowey's mannerisms may have come from them, but his kill-or-be-killed philosophy may have come from the trauma he faced after being attacked and killed by humans. As for Toriel and Asgore – his parents – he may have been close to them at one point, and while he still cares for them, Asriel knows that it's incredibly unlikely that he'll never see them again after the barrier is shattered. It's clear that Asriel was deeply cared for and loved by them and that the feeling was very much mutual. As said before, he was influenced by his family to the point where he would mimic certain quirks.

Time of Arrival to Kaisou: I'm reapping him from when he was here last month!
Items: The only thing he really will bring is the clothes on his back, and a heart-shaped locket with the words “best friends forever” inscribed inside of it.

Character Name: Denki Kaminari
Canon: My Hero Academia
Canon History: Here

Canon Personality:

Intense Extrovert
Denki is a laid-back and easy-going guy that gets along with almost everyone. He's expressive and energetic with a tendency to be over-familiar with people, being very casual in his demeanor. Sometimes he can come off as blunt, but it's generally always well-meaning. Denki's very good at making people feel included and acts as a glue to hold his friends together and lighten their mood. He's very socially intelligent and empathic, excellent at breaking uncomfortable tension with dumb jokes or stupid comments, and always enjoys hanging out.

Comic Relief
Always the class clown, Denki enjoys making other people laugh (even at his own expense sometimes). He jokes around a lot, but he also makes mistakes and messes up in a way that's comedic and makes tense moments disappear. He'll make playful comments in every situation and even teases the more volatile of his friends just to make others laugh... even if it might mean he gets in trouble for it. Making a fool of himself is always worth it when it makes his friends smile.

The Dumb One (But Not Really)
Denki often comes off as a dim-witted idiot, failing his classes and making mistakes. He's known as the stupid one, but there's layers to everything. He's not academically smart, requiring massive help at studying due to his general attention issues and suffers from Test Anxiety. Underneath that, however, he has a surprising amount of literature knowledge, a vast vocabulary (which he hides) and knowledge of art and music. He's good at English and knows weird amounts of trivia, as well as the ins and outs of electricity. While he will never be a top student, his social genius is nothing to scoff at.

Loyal Friend
Denki would die for his friends. Full stop. Even when frightened in battle, all he has to do is think of them and he gets the courage to fight even a whole army of villains. He'll throw himself into a pack of weird robots to help his friends move forward, even if it will incapacitate him, and he'll protect and defend the people he cares for viciously. Even talking bad about them makes his own fear wane and the analytic hero appears to clap back. He'll happily follow after two of the more destructive friends without thinking, because he's too loyal to hesitate when it's time for new explosive shenanigans.

Ladies Man
In the beginning Denki was a skirt-chaser and a bit of a pervert, even if his fantasies stopped at maid cafes and looking at girls in bikinis. He often tried to flirt with girls or ask them out, only to be shot down. Once he got another friend group, however, this seems to have calmed down to more tolerable, typical teen boy levels. He'll flirt and be funny about it, rather than desperate. He also appears to have recently found an interest in men as well, calling a new future classmate attractive and cool.

AU History: Denki grew up in Japan, his mother an electrical engineer and his father a power plant manager. He had a pretty decent early childhood, even if he had some learning disabilities and tended to have a hard time in school.

At 10, he was hit by lightning while playing on a field during a thunderstorm and should have died from the massive current. However, the lightning bolt that hit him was actually a Raiju pup playing in the storm, and it had shot straight into his navel to make a home there. Instead of dying, Denki instead became possessed by the Thunder Beast.

A lot of trouble followed this possession, with his body not quite managing to share space with the spirit. His school work suffered more as an energetic puppy in his veins was a bad mix with his ADHD, and at 11 he had his first discharge in his room, popping every lightbulb and fuse in the house. He had a seizure right afterwards, his brain taken offline as he made a stupid face and pulled his thumbs up subconsciously to try to tell his parents he was okay. It took him over an hour to come back to full consciousness and he spent a lot of time in a hospital afterwards.

More seizures followed when he started to overload, from the strange absence ones where he made the silly face and thumbs-up, to more serious tonic-clonic ones. It always seemed to follow some kind of electrical surge, which neither his parents or doctors quite understood. The more he grew the less often he had the seizures, as he became more used to the raiju's energy - but the pup also grew, and it tended to be a fine line to balance.

At 15 his parents got a promotion to work overseas, so Denki moved to the US and started school there. While he was still struggling with school, he found himself making friends more easily thanks to his upbeat personality, and enjoyed being the class clown, the party boy and a hopeless flirt. It was thanks to these friends he actually managed to graduate high school - even if just by a hair.

At 21 with no clear path in life, he decided to not even try college (much to the chagrin of his parents) but instead now works in an electronic repair shop a block way from one. (Close enough to still go to frat parties and hang out with a group of friends from the school).

AU Personality Differences: With no dream to become a hero, Denki didn't feel the need to put himself through higher learning when he already suffered through high school with his 'stupidity', as he sees it. This means that he's much less driven than in his canon.

Otherwise he's very much still a ray of energetic sunshine. Older but not wiser.

Purchased Powers: General - 2 Points: Medium Level Regeneration (Helps him to not die from overloading by regenerating burnt neurons.)
General - 1 Point: Single Non-Human Feature (Faint tiger stripe pattern around his stomach and back, can be 'explained' as hyper-pigmented blaschko's lines)
Possession: Denki is possessed by a raiju and his main contract price is being the raiju's energy storage. This takes a heavy toll on his body and when he has too much stored it can escape in a discharge of electricity - and often causes seizures afterwards thanks to his brain overloading. Interesting quirks also include an inability to sleep on his stomach and being extra energetic and charged up during thunderstorms - which unfortunately also tends to set his discharges off.
