I prefer historical fiction and sci-fi, but my sister likes to send me her favorite danmei to read with her. She didn't have many friends she was comfortable bonding over that with when we were younger. It's kind of like our own personal book club. That said, I tend to give any book or comic a chance when it's recommended to me.
