On this post, you can purchase an order for a magically crafted item for your character! In other words, we're talking about items that could not be reasonably crafted in our real world.
Ordering a Crafted Item
Characters can order one magically crafted item per month, and must use their own regain points to pay for it. If you want to make it a gift to someone else, or gift it to the game at large- that's totally fine, but basically whoever would be ICly ORDERING the item is the one who has to pay the points.
In order to receive a magically crafted item, you must follow these steps:
1. Find a Crafter: The crafter must either be a player character currently in the game OR you can hire an NPC Moogle to build the item for you with an additional surcharge. Please contact the player of the crafter and discuss what you want BEFORE you put in an order.
2. Pick the base Materials: Below is a list of currently available base materials your item can be made out of. If an item has multiple base materials, pick the material that will make up the MAJORITY of the item's composition (example, if you're getting a steel sword with a gold trim- list steel as your base material).
3. Pick the abilities you want your item to have: Below is a list of various abilities the item can have. Please note, elemental-based abilities CAN ONLY be used applied if the person crafting the item is the matching element (as in if you want an item that can fly, you need to find a crafter who is wind-element).
4. Pick the accessories you want the item to have: Accessories are not elemental locked, so you can pick whichever accessories you want attached to your item so long as you have the slots for it.
What if I want to modify an already existing item?
You can do that! To modify an already existing item, you will forgo the price of the base materials and just pay for the abilities and accessories. However, modified items will be limited to one magical ability and three accessory slots, regardless of what it's made out of.
Crafting Magical Items
If you are someone interested in crafting magical items, there are two relevant regains. In order to be considered a crafter that can make magical items, you must purchase at least ONE of these:
Crafters will be allowed to make up to 3 magical items per month, but they must each be for a different person. If a crafter decides to build an item for themselves or build an item as a gift, they may receive a 4-point discount on a item once per month.
