[But most of all, Blade's been ignoring that the other people in here have gone through their own journeys. Maybe they didn't suffer in the same way but the path here hasn't been easy for any of them. It sounds like Husk lost a family member and almost lost a second, and suddenly it terrifies Blade too.

He runs his hand through his hair and lets out a low sigh.]

I'm sorry. [He doesn't apologize much. Savor it.] I can be a bit of a hothead. I realize you didn't have to share any of that with me, but you did.

Lapis is like a sister to me. She was one of the first people I could trust after I lost everything, and she never stopped believing that I could be saved.

[Husk patiently waits through the silence- he figures it's Blade absorbing what was said to him like an especially slow-reacting sponge. His feathery eyebrows do rise at the apology, though- he wasn't expecting that. ]

S'alright. Like I said, I get why you're so damn angry. It's a perfectly reasonable thing to be angry about. It's just a case of figurin' out a better way to handle that that doesn't get you in deep shit you can't get out of, that's all.

[He gives a dismissive little sound to the sharing comment. It's fine, don't draw attention to the fact he's helping and being supportive. People might get (completely correct) ideas about him being someone who actually cares about others' wellbeing!

The comment about Lapis does bring a little smile to his face though. He's proud of her- his one single non-fuck up. ]

That sounds like her. Dunno how much I can take credit for that. [Lapis would absolutely say otherwise, but she ain't here.] But good, that's what I mean. You don't gotta deal with any of this shit alone. Hell, it'd be madness to try it. So just holler next time, alright?
