[It's the start of the month, so it's time for another mission. Instead of the phone giving a notification, the Black Order guardians will hear bells ringing in their head until they check the message.

The Black Order guardians know exactly what it means: their bosses have a mission for them.]

Once again our commands are clear
The citizens to whom we steer
Seek the champions of the sun
Who's concord cannot be undone
Their shattered crystalline souls
Will greatly help us in our goals
Follow them close with watchful eye
Collect a dossier from what you spy
Send all you find to us posthaste
Failure will land all in disgrace

[They can attempt to respond, but there is no reply as usual. The message itself be completely illegible to anyone who isn't a Black Order member.

OOC: This is the mission for the Black Order for December! Like any of the missions, it's up to you how your character wishes to proceed. It is also up to you if you want your character to disclose mission details to non-black order characters, though the Order itself tends to be secretive. Also should you need to opt-out, no worries! We can just say your character is handling something else.

We'll be discussing in the discord how this mission will proceed OOCly. ]

the dragon man and the cat girl. i've actually spoken to her a few times, she's really nice

[ ... God, it's hard to talk about how she actually feels without looking like she's being insubordinate. But she can tell how uneasy he is, and it makes her fret all the more.

And it doesn't help there's another part of the message that makes her worry. "Will greatly help us in our goals." The fuck does that mean. ]

He works for Vogue, so I would assume he's a good person. From what I know, the people employed there are all very, very good people.

Let me know how it goes. I'll avoid doing it too, so we don't overlap and end up just annoying him...

Eh, I'm pretty sure he'll be annoyed at me anyway for asking. I'll let you know how that turns out, but I don't expect success.

The theater? I've been by a few times, but I haven't gone in yet. Last I checked it had been pretty messed up from November.

Kept an eye on Takame around town. He's an adventurer and instructor by trade, seems to like his coffee with nothing added, and doesn't like cold weather.

I don't think he's a good candidate for recruitment. He's not going to be a threat, either, though.

I've
been doing a little part-time work at the Theatre in town, and he's employed there, too.

While I can't say I've had any deep conversations with him, he seems pretty quiet and low-key.
I'd agree with your "poor candidate" assessment.

Yeah, I got that from following around after him. He didn't really do anything exciting. I'm not sure the other "champions of the sun" are any different either.

honestly i think a group of people who view fighting santa as a good idea aren't the best group to look at

My plan is to just stay on Takame and keep an eye on his activities. If something changes I'll know. [But he doesn't promise to let everybody else know.]
