The prep time the two youngsters put into this beforehand really saves their bacon. The "competition" is fierce- even when the organisers remind volunteers time and time again that it really isn't one. Kni might recognise the elderly gentleman who accused him of cheating when he took on the chess quest. The man glares the entire time, muttering about how the little criminal has brought an accomplice in on his scam now!! Luckily, most of the other volunteers hush him, and one of them even comes over to help them untangle some knots and help them pick out a wrong stitch- telling them not to worry about Derek, he's just a sore loser. Derek does try to say that Eve's knitting with KNIVES in her HANDS and she is a DELINQUENT, but he is swiftly removed from the building because it's obvious she's just holding knitting needles...right? The kids don't make the BEST knitwear in the world- one of the sweaters somehow ends up with one arm longer than the other, and a pom-pom falls off one of the hats. But for beginners, it's absolutely passable and it does keep the Pokemon warm...ish, and that's all that matters, right?
For their (only just) success, they get $100 and a tiny sweater for a pet with a design of their choice. Choose one of the pokemon from this list to take home. They will be depowered entirely.
