Rren and Katsuki take to the call center case with a seriousness that would make Katsuki's favorite superhero proud. With the assistance of the intern, who has long since given up the creepy night vampire life, they interview several of the call center workers and quickly narrow in on the culprit. Along the way, of course, they have to put up with meddling middle management trying to bar them from the place, another guy who thinks they're trying to unionize and locks them inside the break room, and of course the manager himself. At first the morning shift boss is reluctant to come clean, but with some repeated questioning from Katsuki and Rren (and the intern as another source of pressure), the manager lets slip that he's just a hungry energy vampire and he didn't ask to be born this way. He thought he could get away with it since call centers only ever want people with a pulse, right? He also says that he really doesn't want to fight and that Katsuki's magic is very scary! The intern speaks up at this point and tells the manager that there are peaceful alternatives to haunting a call center, such as descending upon PTA meetings. With a solution in hand, the manager swears not to prey on his coworkers again. Not long after that he hands in his resignation and the sleepwalking stops.
For their efforts, Katsuki and Rren receive $500 to be split however they see fit, and a plush banana with an indecipherable corporate logo.
