Vash and Zulius are not the stealthiest people when paired together, but they manage to follow the lovebirds for the whole 24 hours without being caught! Along the way they contend with several obstacles, including: extremely loud planes flying overhead whenever they try to eavesdrop on the conversation, timely movers carrying panes of glass/mirrors/pianos, and more than one traveling band of strangely hostile (but perfectly silent) mimes. After the date, the daughter approaches them (turns out they did get seen after all) and pleads for their help in keeping her dad from finding out the surprise. Additionally, she feels extremely empowered to tell Zulius the truth since she was once a little girl who loved horses, and confides in them about her fears that her father is becoming very controlling and it will end up driving them apart if it continues.

The couple gives Zulius and Vash $250 to be split however they see fit, a brand new football jersey, and a ball of yarn for their troubles. Whether they decide to tell Mark the truth about what his daughter is doing or chide him about his daughter's developing relationship being none of his business, the mission is considered a success. However, the werecat fraternity will definitely remember them in a negative light if they decide to ruin the surprise about the father's ring, thanks to one of them being friends with Zulius' ex.
