Neither Katsuki nor Vash manages to solve the issue before the lights go out. Largely because a gaggle of kids on the field trip keep following them around, telling them that they have cool hair and asking them if they're punk rockers. When the lights go out, though, the mannequins and skeletons all come alive to cause havoc. They get chased by a gang of mannequins from a 1920s Gangster exhibit. Luckily, the Tommy guns they're firing AREN'T real and between them, their fighting skills are more than enough to beat them back. When they get into the T-Rex exhibit, they find the artefact by the VERY ALIVE T-Rex skeleton. Finally, Katsuki can use his beloved fire and explosions to try and distract the dinosaur while Vash makes a grab for the artefact- but it seems like the T-Rex doesn't want to attack them- because as soon as Vash gets close, it pulls out a rib-bone and drops it at Vash's feet, wagging its tail. Maybe it...wants to play fetch? It's up to them if they decide to play with the dinosaur skeleton or destroy the artefact and end this madness for good.

For their efforts, Vash and Katsuki each $200, their pick of a stuffed dinosaur plushie from the souvenir shop, and an apple. If they chose not to destroy the artefact, should either of them visit the museum again after the lights are out, the T-Rex will excitedly be waiting to play with them. Maybe the real reward was the gift of friendship with a huge dinosaur skeleton. If they destroyed the artefact, well, they'll just have to live with the knowledge they murdered a little puppy dinosaur. Shame.
