Though Raha and Rhel are only cat people instead of werecats, the fraternity accepts them as their own. They both have to endure a lot of sniffing and gentle paps on the head at the start of the process, but the werecats are quick to let the two inside and into their territory. The researcher is delighted to have some help with her paper. Having extra (nerdy) hands on deck means that the work can go much more smoothly. After all, cats are cats and the werecats have a bad habit of wandering off into other rooms or choosing to do their socialising in an inconvenient place. Being able to split up the work means nothing is missed. Raha is able to spin a pretty convincing tale to the father, while Rhel can provide flow charts to back this up! He's blown away by his daughter's work and allows it to continue.

For their amazing victory, they each get $200 and an EXTREMELY potent catnip toy. Both Raha and Rhel get credited in the eventual paper that comes out of this. The once-worried father is so impressed by his daughter's grades that he does not question any further field studies, and even ends up befriending the werecats himself- he goes to their potluck every other Monday. Raha and Rhel will occasionally find "gifts" left for them outside their doors- cat toys, leaves, weirdly shaped rocks- the werecats show their gratitude in other ways, it turns out.
