Things go pretty badly for Jamie and Katsuki from the get-go. The areas they looked for snowberries were mostly barren- having been stripped either by competing alchemists or wild animals. At one of the bushes, they find a wild Bulbasaur chowing down. It is very unhappy with them coming to take its well-gotten loot and goes on the attack. They survive this encounter but end up with only a few smooshed berries for their endeavour. Along with them not being able to find holy water, they return to Yukiko Caldwell with very little to help. They are given a sarcastic thanks and advised to maybe try something more their speed next time. Like going to the local fruit vendors, or something.

For their failure, they get a used piece of gum in a wrapper. If you ate any berries, your tongue is now blue for two days and everything tastes like burnt toast.
