Jamie and Suzume have a pretty good go on the scavenger hunt. Having Hoshi around helped as this meant they had something that could move ahead of them and report back to Suzume any clues that it might have found. Between this and Jamie's experience as an investigator, they were able to head off in the general area where the medallion was hidden. At one point they did get turned around and got themselves stuck in the same circle of buildings for a solid 40 minutes- this was largely due to one of the Undertown residents seeing a potential threat and promising them that they knew a "shortcut" while promising the buildings they were around for SURE weren't the same ones they just passed- she promised. Eventually, they figured out the ruse and got back on track. It still took them a few hours (this wasn't a runaway success, after all) but they managed to avoid the cursed medallion and pick up the correct one! They were crowned the victors of the scavenger hunt and got bragging rights for the rest of the year.

For their success, they get $1000 between them and a medallion patch that can be sewn or ironed onto a jacket of your choice. The Undertown resident who was so "helpful" definitely tried to suggest she deserved a cut of the money- up to them if they give the shyster any cash or not.
