This was always going to be a disaster. The boys' enthusiasm works very much against them as they head off to organise the tomes. One of the books ends up being placed upside down so 99.9 becomes 6.66, resulting in the floor around that particular bookshelf becoming quite literally lava. The whole bookshelf melts into the ground- Alberto and Luffy only just making a lucky break away from it themselves! More parts of the shop sink into the pit until the witch catches on and manages a spell to stop the carnage. She'll always have a half-sunken bookcase in her home now, though, and a disgusting black goop coats the floor, which she expects the lads to clean up.

For their failure, they are both cursed to wear a pointy cone hat for 2 hours while they scrub the floor. The witch gives Luffy some stale and awful candies but tells Alberto he's had enough already from his previous visits- she's not a candy story you know. The witch politely asks them to never again darken her door and it seems like she might have told her neighbours about this too, as for the next month people in undertone will point, whisper and glare accusingly at Alberto or Luffy as they walk by.
