Allow me to introduce myself for those who don't know me. Well met, everyone, this is Ivan reporting. I have been with the order since I was young, with a specialization in stealth and extraction. Pleased to meet all of you, or see you again.

Should anyone need help, I'll be around. I took the liberty of checking out the fae situation from a safe distance, but they seem to be having harmless fun. A little Shakespeare in The Park never hurt anyone.

Perhaps it is just a little "harmless fun," but as someome who loathes being on stage...

I'd have been happier being left out of their shenanigans this time.

My condolences over the stage fright. There are always positions to hold other than center stage.

But with a name like The Duke, something tells me that everyone would much rather see you than not.

I'm much better working in the shadows, behind things. Doing the work that is out of sight and out of mind. Like stagework. I got to learn a lot about stage lighting and audio systems during all this, at least.

That aside, well.
Let's just say I have a bad habit of doing things that get me put under a spotlight.
Even if I'd much rather keep to myself. I've been... working on it.

Regardless, new skills are always helpful. You never know when those will come in handy.

Well, it's not that really big a deal, due to how it was in a different world, separate from this one. If you're curious, the story is short.
I was a convict in my home world. I made due in jail by making money in fighting matches--legally, under the jail's rule--and got good at it to a point where I was comfortable, money-wise.
The Warden didn't like how I'd made such a name for myself, so he stole all my money.
So I challenged him to a fist-fight to get it back, and well.

I'm warden now.

Now I'm in this world and I offered my services to aid the Black Order. The rest is history. I don't have... great social skills. Back home, most people feared me and ran rather than to sit down and have a chat with me.

Seeing someone talk about having a past life so honestly is ... new.

I'm not the most social person myself, but from what I've observed, most of us aren't particularly sociable either. Fearing another human is such a strange concept to me even now, though. You don't present yourself as someone to be feared.

There’s only one ore that I know of that "sings" and causes madness. If this is lyrium, we need to take action immediately. Kaisou cannot have that introduced into anything, or things here will take a turn for the worse.

it could be some other shit, but there were a few times where the old Order would just send all hands on deck when somethin' they called "Code Singing Ore" would show up. we're talking emergency hazmat level shit. weirdest fuckin shit and gave me AND the fucker formerly in my head bad vibes

If given a clearer idea of what to look for with this Lyrium you speak of, I will do all in my power to be sure that no one in the city reaches it.

"H" has already attempted the unthinkable with the potions in February. Beyond this ore staying out of our fair city, H will not get hold of it, nor see it.

Before arriving, I wondered if getting assigned here was a joke. Now, I see that whatever is happening here is far worse than they make it sound.

Since it sounds like it's That Ore, I'll be scouting rifts and keeping an eye on who approaches them.
