CRAU
Diatu - Diatu was a magic school. Like with OTHER more famous magic schools, the students were sorted. He was sorted into Ka - the house focused on Sundering magic. Sundering, or summoning/portals/etc, is the formerly banned magic that sundered/ripped the player characters from their own worlds into the world of Diatu. Ka's uniform colors were red and black (Crowley's colors), and the house had a reputation as "a House of dangerous weirdos all inches away from unleashing demonic hordes into the Tenscore Kingdoms." Aziraphale took a snake as a familiar because he missed a certain wily serpent. --Missed him so much, actually, that he spent the better part of his time for the first few months attempting to learn and master the art of Sundering so that he could...you guessed it...summon his friendly neighborhood demon.

Tramitem - Mr. Fell was a British ex-pat living in NYC as an art restorer. He began to have memories of a past life, including a memory of a red-haired man in sunglasses who suggested he could kill a boy they saw in the park. Fell eventually met the man's alternate universe alter ego, Anthony Crowley. They had a rocky start, but Fell was quickly infatuated. Over the course of his time there, he befriended Anthony's cousin, Alec, was reunited with his snake familiar Creme Brulee, and fell for Anthony, despite his demonic leanings.

Avalon - Aziraphale, now with memories restored, has to reconcile Fell's life with his own, including the familial relationship with Alec and the blossoming romance with Anthony…his dearest friend, the demon Crowley. Creme came along for the ride, but as a perfectly normal snake now. He also found himself saddled with a grumpy new familiar, Lamassu. I think his magic was Alchemy, but it was kind of irrelevant--the real test of Avalon was the bond between Aziraphale and the two Crowleys…Anthony and Alec.

Canon Personality:

Good, but also fairly selfish. Sometimes he comes off as naive because of this. Heaven tends to walk all over him because they're basically bullies. He's polite, well-mannered, and sometimes a bit snippy.

Nervous and uncomfortable with breaking the rules outright, but is definitely not averse to bending or manipulating the meanings and boundaries to fit his needs - If Crowley is willing to do the bending and manipulating FOR him, even better. But then sometimes his nerves get the better of him and he lies or wishy-washies over the truth to protect himself after he breaks the rules.

Finds time to do what makes him happy - He’s fussy, stuffy and quite enjoys his life as it is, likes to spoil himself (and be spoiled) to a dinner out, a nice glass of wine, a bit of luxury… (He loves food. The man nearly died for crepes!) And he covets his stuff. He hasn't changed his clothing choices in decades. And his books are not for sale.

Clever but incredibly stupid - He is legitimately intelligent, but (like nearly everyone in the series, but especially also his bff Crowley) he is also a dummy. He makes silly decisions, gets himself into trouble. He's naive and gullible. But he's also the one who put together Agnes' prophecies and figured out who the Antichrist was. He's very well-read.

AU History:

Ashley Zacharias Fell was born into a well-to-do British family with a long history of clergymen, at least one witch (but we don't talk about her), and even ancient ties to the Vatican. He was ultimately disinherited when he chose not to go into the church and came out as gay.

With what funds he retained as his own, and with a little luck, he traveled around the world. In his travels, he has learned about magic in its varying forms and in various cultures and built up a collection of items related to spiritualism, mysticism, and the like.

Fell is well-educated and well-read and has always been fascinated with mysticism and the esoteric. Over his lifetime, he has spent countless hours researching and acquiring tomes, various apocrypha, maps, and items related to paranormal and the organizations tied up in it. He is quite proud to say that he has one of the largest privately-held collections of books of prophecies outside of any library or organization.

He has studied the basic concepts of magic--both sleight of hand and "actual" magic--as well as divination, witchcraft, and spiritual mediums. For a time, he even read palms, tarot, and provided seances (ala Madame Tracey, who Aziraphale canonically possesses at one point) under the appropriately theatrical and mystical sounding name Aziraphael. None of these abilities are things he actually currently possesses.

In fact, as far as Fell is concerned, he has no magical ability at all. It's largely just academic.

Of particular interest to him, for somewhat obvious reasons, are the Black Order, and The Fellowship of Skalds. He currently belongs to neither, but suspects his family may have once had ties to the Black Order.

He came to Kaisou for reasons he's not entirely sure of. Perhaps he was drawn to it. Perhaps it just felt like a place to come to.

He relocated from Salem, Massachusetts where he had established a business when he first moved to the states, and set up shop in Kaisou as an antiquities dealer. He sells what he can bring himself to part with, which isn't much. He buys more than he has reasonable space for.

Heaven help you if you outbid him.

Fell is a bit of an odd duck. He generally keeps to himself, except for going to the theater when possible. He looks the quintessential part of a kooky librarian and his shop is a clutter of his books and relics and odds-and-ends: something vaguely Jules Verne, a little Méliès Le Voyage dans la Lune, a touch of the sinister and occult, and a bit of that classic wizard/astronomer/strange little librarian aesthetic. Wouldn't be unreasonable to think he might have been Merlin in another lifetime.

He is perpetually annoyed by the tick-tock and instant-photogram crowd that come in to take pictures in his shop for AESTHETIC. Do please get out.

AU Personality Differences:
Slightly less social since he doesn't have Crowley to pal around with, and perhaps more of an outward skeptic and questioner of things than Aziraphale canonically allowed himself to do given Heaven's wrath. Otherwise, he's still excited by the things he enjoys, possessive of the things he owns, happy to learn and taste and try, and buried in too many books.

Element: Light

Purchased Powers:
- 2 pts - Small light-spirit companion (hamster-size aka can fit in your hands) -- Creme Brulee, a small hognose snake who was Aziraphale's magical familiar in Diatu and a pet/companion in Tramitem and Avalon. The snake is believed to be a pesky pet at the moment and will be treated as such, but Fell will discover it is magical sometime later (at which time I'll probably purchase the ability to talk to it). Historically, it has an obnoxiously bad habit of causing Aziraphale to phone the wrong Crowley. What a nuisance.
- 1 pt - reduced need for sleep (canonically Aziraphale doesn't have to sleep unless he chooses and there is not enough time in the day to waste with sleeping when there are THINGS TO LEARN)

(at some point later, he'll acquire the ability to turn water into Holy Water, but that'll be when it's more relevant and devastating)

Possession:
This is so tempting because canonically he possesses a human briefly, but …maybe not yet.
