What the wiki doesn't cover can be summarized easily, however.
Imprisoned Marionette: While seeking inspiration for music, specifically something that might spark something in Mafuyu, the group goes to a doll exhibit at the museum as one of it's first in-person meetings as a music group and as friends. Though the dolls are interesting, they don't seem to ignite any especially strong reaction... up until Mafuyu finds a marionette strung up on display, triggering disgust , agony and fear that she can't explain. Encouraged to try and elaborate on this through music, Mafuyu takes the lead of 25 ji Nightcord de. for a time to write Marionette. Within the SEKAI, however, Miku reveals a marionette has always been part of it- it's just now visible to the others. Notably, however, Miku has cut the strings from the marionette to play Cat's Cradle. While thinking about the exhibit however, Mafuyu briefly considers giving up on feeling emotions as all she had felt recently had been sickening or painful, before she remembers the concern and care Kanade showed her when she got sick at the exhibit. She decides to keep that aspect within her heart, alongside the song that drew her to Kanade to begin with, and begins to ask others what the point of emotions are- specifically, she asks Ena why she believes frustration to be necessary when it's unpleasant. When Ena declares she wouldn't be herself without frustration, something resonates within Mafuyu, but it's unclear what, exactly.
Insatiable Pale Color: Ena enters an art contest, seeking validation for her path of choice. Out of pride she's refused to state that she's the artist for 25 ji Nightcord de., wanting recognition for her own merit and growth rather than their name or her father's. When her first entry is rejected, she lashes out at Mafuyu, who's able to create beautiful works- be it music or art- without thought or emotion while still getting praise and attention, compared to Ena's own efforts never being recognized. In Ena's despair, she retreats into Empty SEKAI in hopes of disappearing just as Mafuyu herself did at the start of the game. When Kanade's music reaches her again through Rin and Miku, she returns and apologizes for worrying the others, and scolds herself for having such a strong reaction to a lack of recognition. Mafuyu points out that there's nothing wrong with wanting recognition, shocking the others- but in the end, it's shown that she truly believes that desiring to be seen isn't a bad thing, and Ena's allowed to want that sort of attention. It's also shown that Mafuyu listens to Ena's scoldings with a sincere desire to learn from them, and is able to realize afterwards when she says something insensitively, and that despite her frustrations Ena does care for Mafuyu as well. Mafuyu also notably takes an interest in Ena's sense of pride, noting she has nothing to be passionate about and finds Ena's passion "interesting". In the days following, Ena also manages to figure out the source of Mafuyu's lack of taste: dysgeusia, which can be caused by zinc deficiency in an unbalanced diet or an overabundance of stress.
Secret Distance: With the doll exhibit having awoken some form of emotion within Mafuyu- however negative- Mizuki decides that another trip could potentially help Mafuyu as well as assist Kanade with her writer's block by exposing them both to new things. After a bit of research, she leads the group on a ghost story themed mystery tour. Though the girls all seem to not realize how much they value each other, even remarking that they had no one to be separated from when the tour leads them to a spot where a ghost is said to curse people into never seeing their most precious people ever again, but at the last spot they arrive at an abandoned school. Mafuyu wanders off by herself with no word to the others, prompting them to search for her. As it happens, Mafuyu had followed a ghost of a girl who was looking for a lost item- her shoe, tied up in the branches of a tree nearby. In return for her help, the ghost brought her to a sakura tree still standing within the school, which is where the others eventually find her. And though the sight of sakura never really resonated with them before, they find this time watching the tree together, just the four of them, it feels good- enough so that Mafuyu even smiled, much to the shock of the others. After the trip, Mafuyu reflects on everything, as well as her encounter with the ghost, and the difference between seeing the tree in a photograph and seeing everything they saw together, in person. The SEKAI also changes- Meiko joins as a resident, though she prefers to keep her distance and oversee their progress without growing attached... referencing Mizuki's own fears of attachment and showing more blatantly that the SEKAI is accepting the feelings of more than just Mafuyu.
Carnation Recollection: Kanade has been devoting herself to writing songs that could possibly reach Mafuyu's heart, with little to no success. Despite finding sparks of emotion from different trips or simply engaging with one another, she struggles to capture what had made Mafuyu feel anything, and as she's completely disconnected with her own heart Mafuyu can offer very little help or insight. While she can recognize the skill and effort behind each song, she struggles to find any feeling within it or herself. However, after Kanade rediscovers a garden of carnations she had visited with her parents as a child with the help of Mizuki, she writes a song channeling those memories with her family rather than her fear for Mafuyu... resulting in a warm, loving song that makes Mafuyu smile, saying that she liked it. The morning after, after once again being scolded by Ena for not considering Kanade's efforts and making more of an effort herself to reach out back, Mafuyu realizes that even unpleasant conversations with Ena are alright, but speaking with her family and classmates isn't.
Personality:
On the surface, Mafuyu is the perfect girl: she's kind, friendly and naturally helpful while also being reliable and maintaining an enviable work ethic that leads to her having near perfect grades across the board. Even her athletic skills are to be admired, be it archery or standard gym class. She's noted to be ambitious- already thinking about medical school in her second year of high school- and despite all the work she puts into her goals, she always has time to lend a hand or an ear. Not once does she complain, lash out or even frown. And why would she? She's perfect.
Quite literally all of this is to Mafuyu's detriment! But she's an incredible actress.
When you peel away the mask of the good girl she's expected to be, Mafuyu is deeply depressed. The pressures of her parents' expectations, her mother's emotional manipulations and abuse and the pressures of her peers and teachers combined have left her completely broken. She's completely unable to recognize her emotions and considers herself to be completely without emotions as a whole, and caving to the desires of others has left her without much of a will of her own. Given that her own parents could never be satisfied with Mafuyu as she was, it's no surprise things only got worse- even when she told them that she wanted to be a nurse, they immediately pressured her into becoming a doctor instead, and things have only gotten worse. It's only through Kanade, Ena and Mizuki's continued care and desire to save her that is keeping her alive currently and Mafuyu desires to rediscover herself- one of the few true desires that she has.
Through the Empty SEKAI and Miku reflecting Mafuyu's heart, it's believed that she'd been a gentle, kind girl before everything went wrong. These days however, if she's not acting she's blunt and doesn't consider her words or their effect on others- though Ena's scolding helps her realize when she is acting terribly, for which she's genuinely grateful to the other girl. Mafuyu's emotional recovery has been very, very slow, but she's doing her best to navigate her own distorted heart, and it's worth noting that even when she doesn't have to she leans towards kindness naturally.
Time of Arrival to Kaisou: Just arrived! Items: A school backpack (several notebooks and textbooks for a standard girl's school, cram school books, and supplies), her cellphone and her laptop. Retained Ability: The only supernatural ability Mafuyu has is the completely inexplicable ability to enter the Empty SEKAI, a world born from her feelings and inhabited by unique versions of various Virtual Singers such as Miku Hatsune, Kagamine Rin and more, through playing the song Composing the Future on her phone. Given that this is basically a personal pocket dimension where Vocaloids act as your counselors, I understand if this isn't compatible to the game and unable to be accessed at all!
