Alright now that the Knuckles miniseries is out it is time for questions on some of his abilities. And a few other miscellaneous things while I'm here. Obviously some spoilers for the series in the questions/links!
So first off as a note the series implies (or in one case, pretty much outright states) that all the abilities he uses in it are preexisting ones, he didn't learn or gain anything new, just showed off moves he already had that simply didn't come up in the movie. Just in case that matters for this. Anyway!
1. The series shows him using the dig move by basically spinning and using his knuckles like a combination shovel and drill. Would this be considered its own separate ability to be regained (like gliding, which there's clearly NO logical explanation for and I'd assume is its own regain) or would he be allowed to just do this using his existing strength/speed/etc?
2. Chaos energy is a, well, energy that Knuckles (and Sonic) is shown channeling to temporarily boost his existing abilities further. The specifics on this haven't been given beyond the fact that apparently it's pretty powerful stuff. However, it also appears to be strenuous, as while neither Knuckles nor Sonic hesitate to use it as much as needed, both immediately stop channeling it when it's not needed anymore, and Knuckles in particular tends to use the minimal amount necessary to get the job done, if needed at all. It can have other effects in theory (Sonic accidentally built up enough in a concentrated space to knock out power in a town in the first movie, for example) but for regain purposes I'm only looking at the ability to channel it as a power boost and anything else would be separate. So, to regain this for Knuckles solely to use as a powerup for his own abilities would the pricing be for it as an all-around boost in general or would it be specific to each area being enhanced (e.g. to boost strength AND speed at the same time would require two separate regains or just one)?
3. Related to the above, in canon both his and Sonic's quills tend to retain chaos energy after being shed and can be used as power sources; would this be completely nerfed to have no power at all or could his quills still retain some degree of lingering energy even if a much lesser amount than canon? That is, assuming he regains use of chaos energy in the first place! If he doesn't it's probably a moot point.
4. Similarly to number 1, if Knuckles regains use of chaos energy, would moves like spin attack or spin dash or so on each be separate regains, or just usable because it's combining a more or less ordinary maneuver with chaos energy? (Again, this is only if chaos energy channeling can be regained in the first place, and yes, the miniseries does show him actually using some of these moves.)
5. The series showcases a 'new' technique for him that is explicitly stated to be something he learned prior to the movies, called the Flames of Disaster. Basically he powers up his fists and they're surrounded by flames for extra, well, punch, beyond even his usual chaos energy-imbued attacks. This seems to be entirely separate/different from his chaos energy tricks and seems to require the right kind of state of mind to use. Would this be regainable and if so how much would it cost?
6. LAST KNUCKLES THING I PROMISE so. Rings. They are kind of very OP as in canon they basically can let someone go anywhere, even travel between planets, the user just needs to have a decently clear mental image of where they want to go. That's it. But would a nerfed version with limits on where they can create portals to be allowed, either individually or as a world regain?
And some other miscellaneous questions I am so sorry I have so many:
A. Does the "free real estate" have to be located in Kaisou or can it be like. a hunting lodge in Hyrule or beach villa in El Nido, sort of thing?
B. So the angel monster type can get extra eyes, can they also have multiple pairs of wings, presumably for the same price as normal wings?
C. Just a general question about world regains, do they have to be places/things that a character has specifically been to/directly used/etc, or just something that's present in the canon in general?
