Animal hate tends to be a passive, since it's more of a curse than anything. Should you get unlucky and do receive it, it can only be temporary if one prefers.
As for writing details like that, I don't think that's fully necessary. While we appreciate some details about what your character is capable or inclined to do the side quest, we don't need so much detail that the player signing up is basically scripting out how the quest will go. An element of the Side Quest mechanic is the unpredictability of how the quest will go, and we like to give enough creative freedom for the side quest mods to write personalized results for the players.
If there comes a time where there's a minor word discrepancy between how your character uses their abilities and how the quest result is worded, it's alright to change that detail a little so long as the overall quest result is the same. Does that help?
