Their snooping skills do them pretty well in finding where the fraternity is hidden. They get there pretty easily. The werecats do not initially fear the gun (because cats fear nothing, silly humans) until Butch Paddypaws remembers their neighbour who shot a water gun at them when they tried to dig up his prize tulips. The werecat fraternity starts freaking out immediately, ears back, puffing themselves up big, walking sideways, the whole shebang. It really looks like Nick's poor luck (and Ryoko's decision to bring a gun into this madness) has completely screwed them over, but the researcher is pretty excited by this and starts scribbling notes furiously. She says she hasn't been able to study them in a stressful situation before because you just can get werecats to be bothered by just anything. It's only when Muffins Jones throws an entire ass table at them screaming that they won't get his head wet again that she agrees this might be a little too dangerous now and goes with them both back to her concerned father. She promises to never again get involved in potentially dangerous supernatural situations (she's lying, she's absolutely lying).

For their victory, they get $150 and an EXTREMELY potent catnip toy. The father si delighted to have his daughter back and it turns out that the paper she wrote got a pretty dang good grade! The werecats are less impressed and every full moon Nick and Ryoko will not be able to shake off the feeling that they're being watched. Sometimes they'll find a hairball in their shoes. How did it get in there? Who knows.
